I got the 7 with the washer for Christmas thanks for the info on the modes you can use works way better then the cartridge one i used hopefully the blades last longer too
I own both of them. Both are good. For a light beard, I normally use series 7 because it's not for heavy beard. But for 5+ days beard, I go for series 9 pro. But I like the attachments of the series 7. I have now a Trimmer and face brush. And you can buy others as per your need. But in the end, both are Saviors. 😊
Yes, the Series 9 Pro is a better shaver. However, your previous Series 7 probably had dull blades from use, so that makes the switch to the 9 Pro even more noticeable. Anyhow, thanks for sharing and happy you got a new shaver.
I had the 7071 cc with the Cleaning Center & it does come in handy & had I seen the video on how the shaver connected with the Center 😢, I would likely still be using it because the hieroglyphic-inspired booklet discerned diddly-squat as to its operation!
Bought a brand new Series 7 two days ago and mine didn't have any turbo button. I just wish that companies could be clearer when it comes to model upgrades. For instance, label the turbo version Series 7 as Series 7A and don't just add features to the same model name.
The Turbo button comes on the Series 7 with a model Number 71xx and the no turbo button comes with a model number 70xx. I do realize that is a bit confusing. If you want the Turbo button, go for the 7100 Series 7.
@@phillipg1588 correct me if I'm wrong. European ver only has single mode while US version comes with different modes. I'm using the same model (N1200s) as yours

hey thanks for your content. I'm thinking about getting an electric shaver for the first time. I was trying to choose between series 7 and series 8. Closeness is not too important for me. Comfort is mainly what I'm looking for as I have sensitive skin. Which one should I go for? Is there a substantial difference to justify the price difference? thanks
It isn't required at all. The liquid in the clean and charge station has is ethanol (a kind of alcohol) based so it evaporates through time. But the mix also lubricates the blade mechanism so it isn't something I use daily but once every 2 weeks. I take out the cartridge and put the its cap back so it prevents the alcohol from evaporating. This way you can extend the cartridge's durabilty from the real 5 weeks (braun advertises 8 weeks but it isn't real) to around 4-5 months. It's not a gimmick, but too expensive for its use.
Faulty comparison. You assume both hands shave identically, but they don't. Your handedness matters. For a better result, swap the shvers to the opposite hand and repeat the test.

Yeah, 5 day beard needs a bit more power.
The best between Braun serie 9 pro vs Philips 9000 prestige ?

How much difference would you say there is between the series 7 and the series 9 pro if you shave every 2-3 days?
I cannot describe how smooth it was to shave with series 9 pro plus compared to my previous series 7

My beard is pretty similar to yours in terms of growth speed. Would this be suitable to shave every 24 or 36 hours or would that be too much?
I would say both would work in that situation. And they both get pretty close, so you may be able to go 2 days between shaves.

I will have to do a shaver battle between the 8 and 7. If you don't have a thick and coarse beard, I think the Series 7 will be great.
I have series 7 without the clean and charge station, is this really required or I’m missing something?
I don't use my cleaning station. I just pop the top and run the shaver under water when I am done
Clean it regularly yourself and avoid paying 30 dollars every month for a cleaning solution refill gimmick.

I have thought about this, but it complicates the video creation process too much.
Braun s9 does not shave hair, it just pulls it. Never again.
