Steve, don’t worry about doing life streams. Just continue doing what you’re doing. We appreciate it all. Steve, what are those small round things that look like caps to something next to each grave stone?
I was a Star Girl Scout until 18 (equivalent of Eagle Scout). We would keep up the forgotten paupers cemetery. It was a cemetery for homeless, or people without families. Very sad & I was wondering where the nearest cemetery is by your town. The county finally took over around 1987 & cleaned the place up.
God Bless you old Friend; I pray you and yours are doing well! The 2 years Dad was stationed at Pleasanton CA (1955-56)was the most beautiful area I Lived in in my travels all over the world!
Sada Thompson looked exactly like my grandmother. Wow! I haven’t thought of that show in years. Did you happen to attend the market night? My buddy was filming it.
Interesting to hear about Hermosa Gardens being dangerous. I was there last summer on a Sunday to find Morgan Earls grave. I think i used your previous video to help me locate it because I was having a hard time finding him. I was walking about all alone for quite awhile but never felt threatened. It was mid afternoon though and lots of families visiting loved ones. Yikes though! Great video today Steve, you are awesome.
Thanks for sharing that with us Maxine. I don’t think it was Hermosa Gardens. One of the other Earp brothers is buried there too, but that cemetery seemed really really nice when I was there. The one I was referring to is in Rialto, I think. I think I May have said the wrong city in my video. I may have to correct that. Thanks for the heads up! 👍
I enjoyed your video and all the questions and answers. However, I fell asleep, the dog sneezed and woke me up and I started over. That is a beautiful cemetery with all that green grass. It is amazing that Frank Sinatra is buried just like anyone else in a row with family members and I look back at Kenny Roger's burial place and it is very different. To each their own! Thanks Steve!
Hi Janet. Lol i’m glad your dog sneezed and woke you up! 😆 lots of people tell me that my voice is very soothing and puts them to sleep. 😲 maybe my calling is just to be a sleep aid to my subscribers lol. 😂👍
Bernie Styles was the extras casting director you went to anytime you were filming in NYC. He started with Howard W. Koch on the original Manchurian Candidate in 1962 and completed his career with Hawk Koch in 1993 on Sliver. In between he worked with everyone including Arthur Hiller, Woody Allen, Bobby Greenhut, Norman Lear, Francis Coppola, Billy Friedkin, and on and on. Tyler Rafael Hoffman, 24, of Cathedral City was pronounced dead at the scene. Hoffman was riding a 2014 Suzuki DRZ400 westbound on Las Montanas Road when he "failed to slow for the curve at El Viento Road and continued in a westerly direction" before crashing into a commercial building, according to the CHP.
Hagman actually had a liver transplant later on. In 1982 I went to LA with my first wife and the only celeb I saw was an actor named Stephen Young . He was standing outside of a bar or something . He was on a show I used to watch as a kid .judd for the defense and was in Soylent green in 1973
Hi Linda, apparently the family doesn’t want the public to know where she’s buried yet. Not until there is a head stone. So the cemetery won’t reveal the location.
Hi Steve I have been following you for about 2 or 3 years now and have really enjoyed your vlogs. I just looked up the grave for Tyler Rafael Hoffman and you wanted to know what TRH stood for it is his initials. Sad death and so young. Evidently he died from a motorcycle accident. May he rest in peace. Thank you for your video's.
Thank you for taking the time to do that Connie. When I was growing up a few kids in our neighborhood also die from motorcycle accidents. And since we’ve lived here in Palm Springs I’ve heard of quite a few people who have died from motorcycle accidents here in the city. They are just so dangerous. I’ve never understood why anyone would want to ride one. 🥲 it didn’t even occur to me that those are his initials. You are much more observant than I am! 😊👍
I agree with you 100%, I think another reason I enjoy your vlogs is that I'm 3 years older than you and share a lot of the same interest in life that you do. Funny just little things you talk about from the fifties (like Howdy Doody) I really do relate to LOL. . You are the same age as my younger sister so its fun listening to the happenings of the old days. I love to see when you have posted a new video. Keep up the great work...
I agree Sarah. And it’s funny because some of yours had said the main reason they watch my channel is just to see the mountains in the background of my videos lol! 😎👍
Hi Steve, great stroll. Question: when you are in a Jewish cemetery or Jewish section of a cemetery and find a grave you are looking for, do you ever follow the custom of leaving a pebble or small stone on that grave site?
Hi MrButch, if it’s a standing head stone I do, but if it’s a flat head stone like these I don’t. The lawnmowers in the cemeteries are huge and they go over all of the graves and if there are stones on them the stones can go flying and could kill somebody. So it’s just too dangerous to do that in these types of cemeteries.
Thanks for sharing Steve, hope you have a good weekend. Thinking of you both on Mother’s Day tomorrow. Still really sad for me since my mom has been gone three years in July. Bought my mom’s dog a Mother’s Day card for me. I can’t believe they have pet cards for pet moms. Take care. I went to a funeral of a three day old baby. That was so sad
I think I remember the coyote video Steve. That would be the time to have a Mad Max type vehicle with smoke flares of some kind to scare away wild animals😂
Hey Steve great video! What video was it with you being surrounded by the coyotes? I may have seen it but I can’t remember so can you post a link for it in an upcoming video please. Love both channels keep up the great work
Just when watching you....anytime...anywhere....I'm constantly reminded of your diplomacy and extreme decency as a human being. Thank you Steve...as always...just being you. Captain Kangaroo was definitely a deep influence upon me in my childhood. Loved him....would follow his ideas for being creative with shoes boxes and things. In my adulthood, I was stunned to discover how young he was in that day....he always seemed so grandfatherly. 😄
Hi Donnee, that’s really nice of you to say. And that is so true. When I was growing up older people always looked so old. Today, older people tend to look and act so much younger. 😎👍
Hi Steve... beautiful cemetery...maybe Suzanne Somers is buried elsewhere and it's a secret.....Sony Bono passed young RIP to him ..loved the Sony and Cher show ...watch out for coyotes.....take care ..... Deborah 🇨🇦
Hi Deborah, one of my favorite memories is seeing the Sonny and Cher show live at a taping at CBS in Hollywood. I loved that show too. Sadly, he died in that tragic skiing accident. :-(
There was a person from History Hunters who went there and I had happened 5o see his channel. So not sure where he got the information. He was there before they had cut down the trees and was showing the row and lots of fresh Graves. Then later had typed in the location. I get what you're saying though. The head stone is the way to know for sure. Just thought I'd share the info.
It's actually tracked by my smart watch, which captures all the data on my iphone. I made a video about it recently. Here is the link if you want to watch it: ua-cam.com/video/Ltk7UtB5cIo/v-deo.html
I've met and talked to many celebrities at Sci-Fi conventions, all the ST:TOS stars as well as many, many others. Some even spontaneously gave me things!
Hi Steve. Saw Jim's video the other day where he answered viewer questions. I am still wondering (for either one of you to answer) how he feels about the two of you being so, so different in almost everything you do in your lives. Being a couple, it's just very ironic to me. Please....either of you.....tell all ! Your friend Gary in New York
Hi there, Considering that Steve and Jim have been together for over 30 years, they must feel pretty good about being opposite, wouldn't you think? Perhaps because I am an old gal now, I know many couples who have been together for decades are in love and do not have much in common or who are almost complete opposites. That's where the "opposites attract" saying comes from. :)
@@RockinStacy Yes, obviously I understand all that about "opposites attract". But Steve and Jim are sooooooo EXTREMELY different.....just piques my curiosity, that's all. God bless them with many more happy years !!
Julian Price Stiff, was a pretty interesting guy. He was an extra in several westerns. What I found most interesting was the fact he worked with Howard Hughes. Julian was the lumber buyer for the Spruce Goose. He was also part owner of Chi Chi’s, in Palm Springs, which expanded to include a 500 seat venue for Las Vegas type shows. It featured such legends as Frank Sinatra, and Nat King Cole. Crazy random grave, proves you just never know who you’re visiting in a graveyard.
Hi rhv, omg, that is SPOOKY! In my recent video about riding in the Tour de Palm Springs, I talked all about the Chi Chi club in Palm Springs and how my grandparents used to go there all the time. I looked for a find a grave memorial page for Julian Stiff but could not find one! How weird is that, that I accidentally found his grave and didn't even know it and that you would send me this comment? That seems like way more than just a coincidence. I will have to create a find a grave memorial for him and go back and do a video about his grave at some point. I'll give you a shout out when I do. Thanks! :-)
I loved the Gay couples grave site. I love cemeteries.. I too visit different ones and just find interesting grave site. There is a gay couple buried at the city cemetery in my home town. It makes me so sad when I see that only one side of the Tombstone has flowers on it. I am sure the one guys family puts the flowers there since he was from this area and his partner was from Italy.
Thanks so much for answering my question and in such detail. I can understand the fear of the coyotes. That would have been scary. (By the way, the TRH initials were for his name - Tyler Rafael Hoffman) Thanks again...do I get another question now? Do you have a particularly or memorably eerie thing that has happened in a graveyard. I can give you one...I visited an old graveyard many years ago and my then wife and I spent some time at a grave of two sisters who died on the same day and the stone referenced a flood in the area. I mentioned to my wife, jokingly, that if we aren't careful they might hitch a ride in our car with us. Later as we were getting into the car to leave I referenced the girls again and the flood. Just before putting the car in gear after starting it I asked, "Are you coming with us, girls?" At that second the windshield wipers cycled once on their own and stopped. I tried the button and they worked normally, but I never touched it before they worked on their own. We both looked at each other and both said in unison..."flood?" Thanks again for the great answer and shout out. I hope I am one of your top ten best fans and friends!
Hi William, omg, that IS eerie! :-O What a great story! I don't recall ever having an eerie experience in a cemetery. Over the years I've shared lots of very weird coincidences, but nothing spooky or eerie that I can recall. If something comes back to me I will definitely share it. You are very observant. I didn't even notice that they were his initials. :-) Thanks for being a part of the video and for being a top 10 UA-cam friend! :-)
@@steveinpalmspringsca I am honored and always pleased to spend as much time with as I can. I think your eerie superpower is attracting those danged leaf blowers...never seen anyone gather them like you can!
Not a question, I just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you monday. I had The Misfortune of spending the day in the emergency room, I have a large stone stuck in the right ureter and multiple stones in each kidney🙄
Oh no Janice! 😩 you know I feel for you. I hope you will be able to get in soon to have them removed. Or better yet they will pass on their own. I’ve discovered over the years that sometimes Tylenol extra strength works extremely well to get rid of the pain. One of the ER doctors told me that when I was there for a kidney stone. I also wonder if maybe ibuprofen might help. Sending you positive thoughts. 🤞👍
There are sunglasses that fit over your reading or “regular” glasses. I saw a commercial last week for them. I got a pair in the Dollar Tree a while back , they are not bulky or uncomfortable and fit great. I was surprised , they work great! Also, a while back also at Dollar Tree I found a pair of sunglasses cheaters that were funny lookin but worked just fine. The over your own glasses are called cover- ups.
OMG, you just reminded me that I bought a pair of those at the Dollar Tree last year, lol. I had totally forgotten about them. Mine were too big and didn't fit and kept falling off, so I never was able to use them. That must have been why I forgot about them. Thanks for jogging my memory RD! :-)
Hi Steve, Great video! My two cents on why Dr. Toni Grant did not have a headstone might be because when she was on the radio (Similar to Dr. Laura) she sometimes was considered Controversial on her opinions (also very Conservative) maybe her family thought it better not to have one in fear of disrespect? Just a thought, definitely not a fact.
Hi Steve Great update! It may be Suzanne doesn't have a monument yet- this just a thought- Al Hamel is Jewish Maybe when Suzanne married him she may have converted and as you probably know you have to wait a year( someone also said 6 months) to install a monument We now have coyotes in the cemetery where my Dad is They now have signs about them
Hi Richard, yes, exactly. I thought I mentioned that. Maybe in a different video. Coyotes really seem to love cemeteries. Maybe they eat the flowers. Thanks for sharing!
@@steveinpalmspringsca Yes Steve I believe it was you I think it was the one you did of Bob Saget I also saw another post ( Sorry Steve I can't remember if it's yours- maybe Scott of Dearly Departed or Scott On Tape) when Don Rickles past away where they mentioned this I also read you only bring stones to a Jewish Cemetery not flowers because apparently Jewish people would rather you take the money to buy them and do a charitable act Cheers, Greetings and Love from all your subscribers in Toronto Canada! PS The coyotes are at the Cemetery because it is next to a river and greenbelt Beautiful deer too
Im in Italy this week and went to Florence yesterday and visited Galileo’s grave in a beautiful church/ museum. Also visited the Florence american cemetery And memorial
Bob Keeshan was Clarabelle on Howdy Doody before he was Captain Kangaroo! Loved Captain Kangaroo, Mr Green Jeans, Grandfather Clock, Dancing Bear, Mr Moose and Mr Bunny Rabbit! Thanks for the memories!
Hi Steve!! Thought: if Suzanne Somers was buried in accordance with Jewish tradition, she wouldn't get a headstone until a year after burial. What are your thoughts??
Hi Laura, I used to say that on my channel, but then a few different Jewish people corrected me and said that it’s not mandatory. It’s just a tradition that some Jewish people follow but others don’t. But since it’s been six months it seems likely that her family is following the tradition. Thanks for sharing that! 👍
Speaking of Captain Kangaroo/have u been to Bob Keeshans headstone in Babylon, Suffolk County New York? I think he passed in 2004, not sure of what cause? Thanks DAve
He was definitely on my list to see when I took my cross-country road trip two years ago, but I just ran out of time. So many graves and so little time to visit them all. 🙁
In all honesty, I never watch livestreams. There are delays often and it annoys me. I know a lot of people like livestreams and the interaction, but there’s no guarantee anyone will respond to your comment or question. I generally don’t even watch the “rerun”. Sometimes I will watch a cooking livestream. I often would go to the cemetery where my parents are buried and take my dogs. Often I was the only one there. It’s quite lovely and my dogs loved it. I also had an annual Zoo membership and that’s another good place to walk. I don’t do either now because I have severe arthritis. I don’t remember a rascal named Farina though there was one. I do remember Stymie and Buckwheat. I have a collection of the dolls including Petie the dog. They are cool.
Hi Cynthia, I’m like you, I’ve never really liked live streams. So sorry to hear that you are dealing with arthritis. That can’t be any fun. 😩 thank you for sharing with us and I hope your medication is able to relieve your pain. 🤞
Yes, some Jewish families do observe that, but I’ve heard from Jewish families that many do not. So I just depends on the family. Thanks for mentioning that J!
It sounds like Suzanne Somers, because her funeral was held so quickly, she or her family were following traditional Jewish burial practices and burying as quickly after death as possible, since we do not embalm. If they are religious or at least traditional, then a headstone is not put up until 11 months after the death, just before the first yartzeit, or the first anniversary of the personʻs death. That may be why her grave doesnʻt yet have a headstone. We have a short service at the grave called an unveiling when we set the headstone.
@steveinpalmspringsca his last show was Dec 8 1984 according to Google. I try to watch something on one of your channels. I don't usually comment. Just wanted to let you know Capt. Kangaroo was on when a youngster as well. It's one of those things my brother and I had in common with my parents and your generation. By the way, I love the work you do on your channels.

Hi Steve such a serene place. Thanks for the tour of the area. 🥀🏞️🪦⚱️
Thanks for joining me Linda! :-)
This video was absolutely marvelous!
Thanks so much, Steve
Thanks Scott. Glad you enjoyed it! 😎👍
Enjoyed again, Steve
Thanks John. BTW, I just answered one of your questions in a video walk and talk I did this morning. I'll post it next week. :-)
Hi Steve! Great walk/talk. I think the letters on the young man’s grave were his initials. TRH
Thanks PH, you are very observant. I didn't even notice that lol. :-)
Thanks for remembering the people and for taking us along great video
Thanks for coming along Sylvia! 😊👍
@@steveinpalmspringsca Steve, you do have that effect on people. I like your voice but don't tell Jim!
Thanks for sharing this additional information Supermama! 🥲
Enjoying the longer vlogs.
Thanks for the feedback Edward. I do too and I will probably start doing more. :-)
Thanks for sharing this with us steve and keep up your good work thanks 👍
Thanks for watching Tom 😎👍
Hagman actually had a liver transplant later on. In 1982 I went to LA with my first wife and the only celeb I saw was an actor named Stephen Young . He was standing outside of a bar or something . He was on a show I used to watch as a kid .judd for the defense and was in Soylent green in 1973
Wow, The world can be so small sometimes and so random! 😳😄👍
Thanks for your tours for us. I’m surprise Suzann summers still hasn’t had a head stone, can’t the office give the exact location
The mountains in the background are a beautiful backdrop💙💙
Hi Leeann, yes, Mother’s Day is especially sad now that our mothers are gone. 🥲 How funny though that they have cards for pet moms! 😄👍
Great idea to answer questions and walk in a cemetary.
Thanks Sally. I'm going to start answering questions on all of my walks from now on. Unless I run out of questions. :-)

I think I remember the coyote video Steve. That would be the time to have a Mad Max type vehicle with smoke flares of some kind to scare away wild animals😂
Lol so true Chad! 😂👍

R.i.P 🙏 and thanks for sharing and updating us on Suzanne Sommers❤️
Stay safe out there.
Steve... TRH are his initials. Take a look again. hehehe.. Tyler Rafael Hoffman. Take Care. Reid.

Hi Steve... beautiful cemetery...maybe Suzanne Somers is buried elsewhere and it's a secret.....Sony Bono passed young RIP to him ..loved the Sony and Cher show ...watch out for coyotes.....take care ..... Deborah 🇨🇦
Hi Deborah, one of my favorite memories is seeing the Sonny and Cher show live at a taping at CBS in Hollywood. I loved that show too. Sadly, he died in that tragic skiing accident. :-(

SusN summers is in the area you first mentioned where they removed the trees. She is in plot 62.😊
Susan Summers section c31 plot 62
Are you just going by what it says on her find a grave memorial page or are you a family member or friend? Find a grave is often incorrect. Thanks 👍
But now you can check that area, lol
May I ask which app you use to track your miles walked?
It's actually tracked by my smart watch, which captures all the data on my iphone. I made a video about it recently. Here is the link if you want to watch it: ua-cam.com/video/Ltk7UtB5cIo/v-deo.html

Was it St. Mary's in Oakland. My grandparents are there. And yes the roads were one way in and one way out.
Hi Gary, thanks for the great question. One or both of us will answer it in a future video. :-)
Thanks Stacy, that old saying really was made for us lol! :-)
Thanks! :-)
@@steveinpalmspringsca It definitely is odd how you almost tripped over him! I think he wanted some attention!

Thanks for sharing that with us 💙
Ur a big fan of hers (Suzanne) as most of us are, have u seen or been to Jon Ritter at Forest Lawn Memorial in Hollywood Hills? Thanks Dave
Hi Dave, yes I have visited his gravesite a few years ago on my graveyard channel. In fact I have visited a couple of times. 👍
TRH are his initials Steve- his name is Tyler Rafael Hoffman, always read the name on the headstone 1st usually eliminates some confusion, thanks Dave
Thanks Dave, i’ve never seen that done before. I seem to be the only one who didn’t notice that lol! 🤣👍
20:30 I'm assuming "TRH" are his initials - Tyler Rafael Hoffman?
Thanks Craig, everyone seemed to notice that but me lol. :-)
You were busy doing all the work! We’re just watching. Haha
Love the chanel...but aren't you supposed to walk between the graves? Heads of the dead face west? I'm new to your channel.
Thanks F, cemeteries like this are memorial parks where you can walk on the grass like you would in any park. I never step on the headstone though. 👍
What is the name of your other channel?
😮 Steve, I live in a red state and I can guarantee those a lot of gay people which I mean, they don't throw them away for God's sake.
It's called The Graveyard Channel of @thegraveyardchannel
That is eerie😮 have a great day🤗
I know, right! :-O

I just hadc3 stones over 1cm removed 2 weeks ago! I was able to pass the 4mm stones.
The PAIN!!
HOPE you're free of pain soon.

Hi Steve,
Great video!
Hi Joe, I hadn’t thought about that, but it definitely makes a lot of sense! 😲👍

I thought and I could be wrong - Jewish headstones/markers are not placed for 1 year after death

Thanks for sharing that with us Sephardic!
