    I think what Wilson means by longer grip technology is, that the grip shape now flies into the throat of the racket is that you can now continue rapping your overgrip around the throat on your two handed backhand without feeling a step or ditch like you would used to feel (as your hand sits on half grip-half throat).
    This is nothing new, this was how the early wooden rackets were, but it is new for Wilson, especially on their player models. (Compare it's side view to the prostaff on a grip size 3 or 4).

    Thanks for the great review. I used to play the Wilson nBlade 18x20, 304g (probably from 2009) and then the Head Speed MP 315 18x20, 100 (white/grey, orange labelling). I am now contemplating to purchase the Blade v7 16x19 or 18x20, considering I play a bit less powerful than maybe 5-10 years ago (I am 29 now). When you say that you prefer the power of the Clash 100, would you also say, that if you played more powerful in the past, the Blade would have been a better fit for you? I am also going to test the Clash, and already tested the Blade 18x20 - which I actually enjoyed (I like to play relatively powerful/aggressively with top spin and need some maneuverability / control for that). Thanks, Philipp

    The Blade v7 98 16 x 19 has one of the best feel in the market for player's frames IMO. Feel is more important than power IMO. The ball pocketing is spectacular. You just need a full smooth stroke to get the maximum benefits! Can't say enough good things about the Blade!

    • @charlesasch
      @charlesasch 3 роки тому

      How do you string your blade? I think this is really important to get the full benefit.

    • @kenharris7194
      @kenharris7194 3 роки тому

      @@charlesasch I use a basic synthetic string Gosen Micro 16 anywhere from 52-55lbs depending on the time of the year due to arm issues. I would think that a poly in the high 40's to 50lbs would also play quite well.

    Wow 5:20, 323 sw. Must be super comfortable to swing. TW posted in their site a 328 sw. Excellent review man!! Top reviewer for sure. Right up there with Jonas from Tennisnerd, and TW’s Chris and Troy. Cheers!!!
    Edit: Can’t express in a few words how much of a good review this is! Came back to edit my post. One of the things I love the most is the comparison of power with other known racquets. Do you make the comparison with the same string and tension? You know, to make all other things equal for fairness

    • @team-tennisenglish1514
      @team-tennisenglish1514  4 роки тому

      Thank you. No I can't compare with same strings and tension but really I feel I don"t need. I can feel the difference which is due to the frame itself if strings are polyesters with a correct tension.

      Team-Tennis [English] I think adding that up could be a great factor to bring even more legitimacy for your channel. Say all racquets are tested with the same string, gauge, and tension. Makes your opinion more undebatable. Know what I mean? Hope that can be a little give back to you :) since your reviews have given me great info and value! God bless you! :)

      @@jorgeandrescoppiano I'll see but racquets come from Tennis Warehouse and it would be up to them to string everything the same. Really I don't think it's extremely important as long as most monos give close sensations, especially in terms of power and for the tension I always have around 23-24 Kg. I'll talk about with TWE. All the best.

    Great reviews! I’m an intermediate player that has been using Pure Aero for many years. Recently I feel that Pure Aero gives me too easy spin and power even if I don’t use the correct swing. It feels like it’s “cheating” me. I would like to improve my techniques. I’m thinking about switching to a more control oriented racquet to “teach” me good techniques. I recently demoed many racquets and narrowed down to Ezone 98, Vcore 98 and Blade 16x19. Which one do you think is the best choice for my situation? Or should I switch at all? Thank you so much in advance!

      The main difference is power : Blade much less powerful. Less forgiving also and less access to top spin. Comfort is fine for both. Blade clearly designed for agressive/powerful players looking for a good control.

    Hey I was looking at choosing between this racquet, the clash 98 and the gravity pro. I have demo'd both of the wilsons and enjoy them both equally. I play from the baseline mostly and have a lot of power. I more often overhit my shots than underhit them. I'm 3.5-4.0. Looking for a racquet that I can continue to grow and improve with. Current racquet is the one I had since I started as a beginner Wilson Ultra 100CV. Any advice on what to choose? I know you've played with the clash 98 as well.

I play with old heads liquidmetal radicals and prestiges, having some arm issues, lot of off center hits ( they re 95 sq inches). I want an easier, more confortable control frame, but with a little bit more power. Love the prestige feel, but too demanding...I want lot of confort, but maby bigger switspot and more power...( I hate pure drives and aeros, jaja)...thanks man!!! Thank you :) I made a rewiew in french for the ps 97. the 97 gives power if you center the ball but it's rather hard. If I had to choose I'd choose the Blade but it really depends on the player. The PS is heavier also. In fact both racquet are rather demanding, good level required. I'd find the Blade better for agressive forehands grips like semi western. I have bad sensation if I don't use an eastern forehand grip with the Pro Staff.

    Love both sticks’ control coming in from the pure aero 2019, i was able to generate as much spin as a desired ( turns out I was not reliant on the spin machine :D) and LOVE serving with both sticks in terms of precision and accuracy.
    As you said, if i were to purchase the v7 blade, I should go for 16x19 first because of the lower power in the new version rather than the 18x20, even coming in from 18x20 cv blade. I am a recreational 4-4.5 level, semi western grip and one hand backhand, full swing.

      I'd say VCore 98 a bit more powerful. This Blade is really control oriented. I bet Wilson will make the next version more powerful, we'll see...

    Your hittig in this hall looks brutal (together with this sound at hitting). why didnt you also review the (more) popular version 18x20? maybe you did.. would you say there is much difference in spin&power potential?

    • @team-tennisenglish1514
      @team-tennisenglish1514  4 роки тому

      I was more brutal when I was younger 🙂 Considering the control there is with the 16x19, no need to demo the 18x20. I really advise players to be careful with the 18x20 which is going to be very control oriented, not much access to top spin. I advise the 16x19 for most players. 18x20 for very very powerful players, flat game.

      @@team-tennisenglish1514 I just tested myself yesterday the 18x20 and I did not feel any lack of spin .. and I am by no will an advanced player. Today 16x19 test will be interesting

      @@philipphortnagl2486 It all depends on personnal feelings and needs. You'll have access to top spin, but definetely not the same as head extreme mp, babolat pure aero, head radical MP. Tell me the differences you feel with the 16x19 in terms of power and access to top spin.

      @@team-tennisenglish1514 16x19 tested today and I cant tell there is more spin but definitely more power. Result was that many balls went too long. Didnt feel great at all... so I switched after 1 hour to the 18x20 back and today it felt harder since I was a bit tired and I felt the lack of free power... hmm will test it again. Also tested the Yonex Vcore 98 305 today which was the easiest to use..

      @@philipphortnagl2486 Ok. I'm a bit surprised you lacked control but it depends on every player. For the 18x20, yes be careful, test it very well, long enough. I agree the Yonex 98 will be easier, more easy power and top spin.

      Team-Tennis.fr Vous aviez raison sur le centrage, quand la fatigue arrive après une heure de session. On cadre moins bien, le swing est moins correct... Donc on devient frustré. Je vais re essayer le clash 100... 😊 Merci pour votre réponse!

      No, haven't tried. The 16x19 will be more comfortable, more powerful and still with a very good control.

    Which one you liked better: these one or clash 100?

    • @TeamTennisfr

      The Clash definetely. The Blade lacks too much power, for me. For some others of course it could be fine.

      What about the control? Do you think it has a huge difference between the control of blade and clash? I mean, i want power but can’t loose much control. I play with a Head Speed Pro 2014, 18x20, but is too heavy for me now (315g)

      @@duquintella2008 Yes for me there's a clear difference. Not like huge but it's rather important. The best thing to do is to test those racquets. If not you'll always wonder.
