No, not really. I have gotten paid for my pattern that went into knitty.com and some money from pattern sales on ravelery. I occasionally take commission work. But I really think of that income as just offsetting the price of my hobby a little. I think pattern sales is really the most viable route for money making via knitting. I think it would be difficult to earn much income from selling knitted items.
