Honestly. Trivium are the "metallica" of today man. They've inspired so many people, Matt wrote Ember to Inferno at 16 for fuck sake and the others are just as talented, seeing them evolve and progress since the days of the Blue EP has been a joy. One of the greatest metal bands and possibly the most inspirational band I've ever come across, super nice dudes too
I love this album. I hear a little bit of every album mixed in this one. I have been listening to it from when i wake until I sleep and even in my dreams. Its hard to choose a favorite band but trivium has always put out what I want to hear.I go to every show when they are in town and they are professionals. I am very proud of their new album and will always support them.
Absolutely love the enthusiasm when they talk about influences such as Metallica. Say what you want about them...there's no denying that their influence amongst the world completely legendary!
I saw trivium live at bristol 02 area in 2012 when they did the "leaving this world behind" tour. They are as amazing live as they are on cd or iPod. No autotune here thank you.
Trivium(reply to this if possible) well in my opinion your simply the reason I Listen to what I listen to now. Your an inspiration! Your the reason I play guitar! Your band is a success and nothing should stop you! Not even a couple of teenagers jumping you! Good luck!
I'm only 13 and I loove heavy metal like before i liked sad songs but it annoyed me so i started looking for new music and i discovered trivium and i was like omfg whats that awesome music ? i was so happy to discover this kind of music, iron maiden nirvana acdc.... so i just wanted to say THANK YOU for making this btful music, you are angels
The fact that they wanna be awesome when playing life and really think about that when creating a new song makes them so likeable :D Just love this band :)
These guys influenced me heavily. I like what they do and the way the progress... Keep on doing this great work! BTW: GREAT SHOW IN BRATISLAVA / Slovakia. Come back soon.
Stop all the hate will ya? Vengeance Falls is a real awesome album. I mean, I liked the change. I guess they tried something different and it did work for me. And not using the Autotune was a good risk. Worth it. Whatever happens, I feel Trivium deserves all the respect and not the hate and dislike.
Back in Hollywood fl today. Yesterday in Fort Rock. You guys were the best. First time seeing Trivium live!!! Fucking AWESOME!!! Thanks for your music. I'll be looking out for you guys in the future. Try to have a show at the Hard Rock!!!
I love how they mentioned autotune. I've seen them live and they sound incredible so I was a little taken back by them saying they've used autotune. Oh well Trivium kills it live!
I agree with everything you said. To me the album is a grower and it's not bad, around the same level of enjoyment as In Waves. Although there is some Draiman influence. If you listen to the vocal lines and the way the vocal melodies play out, you can tell Draiman had a hand in writing them. Although not bad, it has that Draiman stamp on them because vocalists have favored vocal lines, melodies, etc. I hope that Trivium brings some of the progression and epicness back next album though.
Agree with everything you said, wish they had included no hope and as I'm exploding on the album, they're both a great mix of the old and new style's. The vocals are huge on this album too.
I've always liked disturbed, I've always loved trivium, trivium are the only band i've loved every track and every album, ill be buying Vengeance Falls soon so heres hoping i love that album too, thanks David for for being included, and thanks trivium for trying something new and inviting david :) ill support you guys no matter what. ( Trivium and Disturbed) good people. Congratulation to david and family on your Sons arrival too, a very exciting fun time for everyone all round it seems :)
Kinda have a love/hate relationship with this album, sometimes I like it and sometimes I'm really not feeling it. I would definitely class it as Trivium's 'Nu-metal' album, I would say that the mix/production is the most clean and arena sounding they have ever had. It's funny with all of their talk about being able to play this album live, when they only did like 4 songs of it on tour and now they only play Strife...
Yes they do, nearly every metal release on a major label in the last 10 years you've listened to uses software such as Melodyne to fine-tune the vocals, (not drastically, but it is still used a little bit), purely for an increased production value.
I've been a disturbed fan for a long time, and when I listened to "To believe" I thought "Did I just turn disturbed on accidently?". I've also been a trivium fan for a long time now and I love these guys, the next time I see matt live I want to hug him. But seriously, he lost his own style as he took too much advise from Draiman. He improved a lot, but you can't be a master on your own if you listen too much to your master.
Ya Shogun was my fav album. But Vengeance Falls is now another pride for them. If this is what Trivium really sounds like, then they are fucking awesome.
Fair enough. I realize I worded my comment wrong, and I most likely interpreted the video wrong but I was trying to get across that I was surprised they mentioned Auto tune that's really all I was saying. I know they especially don't use Auto Tune live.
I know everyones saying David didn't have an influence on Matt's singing, but he definitely does. I love this album nonetheless, but it seems that Matt embraced what David was telling him, which included vocal melodies. I wish he didn't influence him, because the best songs on the album (Wake, Incineration, At The End Of This War) have little to no Draiman. I feel like this album really could've been amazing without the subtle Disturbed feeling here and there. Still a solid album though.
I remember the making of Shogun video. That was fun to watch, and the guys were all really excited and funny and all. And then suddenly all that changed, the In Waves documentary was insanely hard to watch because it was so depressing, and this is again all depressed and deep. Why?
Luke Geiger I guess thats possible, but Nick was in the band for over a year by the time they released In Waves. But yeah, i guess you are right. It's just sad to see that a band isn't really enjoying the process of making a new album. Maybe thats why nothing has topped Shogun yet.
This comment will probably get so much hate, but this is my favourite album xD Could be because Disturbed is one of my favourite bands, but I really like Matts clean vocals, and I'm happy they used that A LOT in this album :) And he sounds a lot like Corey Taylor in the verse of Brave This Storm, that's awesome :D
I dont know about you guys, but i love this trivium. The lyrics are darker, just listen to Villainy Thrives or No Hope For The Human Race. Maybe Matt scream's less, but they make up for it with awesome lyrics.
Glad they record songs on albums as how they wanna play it live. I mean, it's gonna be hard to emulate in a live situation, a song with over 10 layered tracks eh?
Exactly. The lyrics are, on almost every song, very dark and bleak. I don't care that Matt screams less. He only does the metalcore ones on here for effect and I'm cool with that. Songs are pretty memorable too.
Spot on tbh. I still find Vengeance falls, Villany Thrives and No Hope for the human race catchy, but the rest is kinda, just subpar. Trivium can still rise from this and become even better, if they just do their own thing, and not get influated by anyone. Go back to more power behind it all, instead of grovy metal.
Dude, believe what you want to, but just tell me whether you hear anything close to Shogun or In Waves - those were their transitional albums and we all know that we are never getting back Ember to Inferno or Ascendancy, but seriously, the way Draiman tells Matt what is right and wrong and how each song is so frigging alike to the composition of Disturbed's songs...anyone who understands the foundation of band signatures would easily be able to identify what Draiman has done.
Metalhead1406 is it really?? I mean, I guess the chords sound very similar, but it sounds like something different. Idk maybe it's just me. I do love that Gibson though. Beautifulest sound in the world.
Honestly. Trivium are the "metallica" of today man. People can say all they want about this album and David helping them. I love it. Not gonna change my view on the band
This album made me fall in love with trivium
The best vocal performance Trivium has ever had. The vocals were insane on this album
Definitely agree, at least in terms of clean Matt's clean vocals

The album was great...'nuff said.
***** your*. Also, this album was awesome in my opinion. Each Trivium album has its own flavor to it, I think all of them are great in there own ways.
@@joshbeer414 their*. Lol but I agree. This album has grown on me a lot.
Absolutely love the enthusiasm when they talk about influences such as Metallica. Say what you want about them...there's no denying that their influence amongst the world completely legendary!
Matt: I love my band members
Also Matt: Except the drummer
I saw trivium live at bristol 02 area in 2012 when they did the "leaving this world behind" tour. They are as amazing live as they are on cd or iPod. No autotune here thank you.
That was their prime touring cycle
So pumped for tomorrow. I haven't listened to the stream of the album because I preordered the $65 version of the album.
One of my top favorites amongst In Waves, Ascendancy, WTDMS
I do not think the album sounded like Disturbed, I think the vocals sounded like Draiman here and there though.
i've only picked out 2 or 3 songs that sound draiman - ish. other than that it sounds like trivium. but this album was amazing
Yeah I agree, it was not like every song or anything, mostly the title track's chorus for me.
It's a great album I absolutely love it! I've listened to it more than 20 times already.
Trivium(reply to this if possible) well in my opinion your simply the reason I Listen to what I listen to now. Your an inspiration! Your the reason I play guitar! Your band is a success and nothing should stop you! Not even a couple of teenagers jumping you! Good luck!
I bet if people didn't know it was the guy for disturbed recording this album they wouldn't say it sounded anything like disturbed.
Although I can her some slight David Draiman influence in Matt's voice I still agree with you, guitar riffs are nothing similar to what Dan writes.
+Ivan Villanueva actually, several guitar parts on the songs Vengeance Falls, To Believe, and Villainy Thrives sound very disturbed influenced.
Trivium makes me feel different, better. I wish they come to Argentina again soon!
The 1st as long as i know is Hallelujah, he plays it a lot in his accoustic shows
The fact that they wanna be awesome when playing life and really think about that when creating a new song makes them so likeable :D
Just love this band :)
dude imagine the energy in the studio when he was recording Wake and its all subtle until “LIKE A STAKE TO THE BRAIN”
These guys influenced me heavily. I like what they do and the way the progress... Keep on doing this great work! BTW: GREAT SHOW IN BRATISLAVA / Slovakia. Come back soon.

i hope that acoustic track be in the album
its buitiful:-)
can't wait

You can't possibly belive that !!!! ..He can do awesome things with his voice what makes you think that it's autotune.. It'S NOT.
David working with trivium awesome! I'd like to hear him work with bullet for my valentine next!
Loved the album :) Not even a bit dissapointed, and I don't like disturbed at all. I think this is Trivium's sound.
Been listening to Trivium for 8 years...but this album doesn't even have one song that I would like to listen to.... :-( Sad times...
Agree with everything you said, wish they had included no hope and as I'm exploding on the album, they're both a great mix of the old and new style's. The vocals are huge on this album too.
Heafy has...SO many Emperor shirts. xD

Awesome guys! Can't wait to see more!!!
I love both bands and I really think draiman really helped trivium develop as a stronger band with this album!
Kinda have a love/hate relationship with this album, sometimes I like it and sometimes I'm really not feeling it. I think I saw a interview where they said they were going to but never did and all their songs on 7 string guitars are some of their best
The album is incredibly good
It's funny cause Vengeance Falls sounds nothing like Disturbed, people only say it to jump on the bandwagon
@Dutch van der Linde Yeah the verses of Incineration are straight up Draiman.
To Believe sounds very Disturbed-y
Glad to see another documentry on the new album because the In Waves one was fantastic.
I couldn’t find the in waves one 🤔
@@HotRoute7 All I know is I have it on a DVD disc that came with the CD back in the day.
Exactly, it's pretty much the fan boys who just fall for this album.
Yes they do, nearly every metal release on a major label in the last 10 years you've listened to uses software such as Melodyne to fine-tune the vocals, (not drastically, but it is still used a little bit), purely for an increased production value.
Cant wait for the rest boys!

Matt looks so much like Joseph Gordon Levitt
I didn't know David Draiman was producing them. Pretty sick, super stoked for the new fucking album! \m/
Ya
Shogun was my fav album. But Vengeance Falls is now another pride for them.
If this is what Trivium really sounds like, then they are fucking awesome.
I hope next parts will be longer... ;)
Yesss documentary!!!
Awesome!
i love trivium
Fair enough. I realize I worded my comment wrong, and I most likely interpreted the video wrong but I was trying to get across that I was surprised they mentioned Auto tune that's really all I was saying. I know they especially don't use Auto Tune live.
Matt: "I remember this kid...His name was David..."
...coincidence, I think NOT. XD
I know everyones saying David didn't have an influence on Matt's singing, but he definitely does. cuando van a volver a colombia ? a medellin
Where are the other parts? I bought the album but I'd like to watch the rest of this documentary.
Finally!
I remember the making of Shogun video. That was fun to watch, and the guys were all really excited and funny and all. And then suddenly all that changed, the In Waves documentary was insanely hard to watch because it was so depressing, and this is again all depressed and deep. Why?

I feel like they're starting to go for an older audience, but like a certain niche. Like reflective/nostalgic late 20 year olds.
Exactly Luke it's hard to go on tour when there's a scary world.....no one can tell what happens next.
Wait, there's a Shogun documentary? Can you link it? My cousin produced Shogun and I had no idea there was a documentary.
Yes.
i love how all of them love Metallica :D
i always considered Trivium to be Metallica's offspring
This comment will probably get so much hate, but this is my favourite album xD
Could be because Disturbed is one of my favourite bands, but I really like Matts clean vocals, and I'm happy they used that A LOT in this album :)
And he sounds a lot like Corey Taylor in the verse of Brave This Storm, that's awesome :D
Someone know what song Matt playing at begining? Or its just an impro?
A true fan would want them to keep defying the odds, not sell out
Awesome
I dont know about you guys, but i love this trivium. The lyrics are darker, just listen to Villainy Thrives or No Hope For The Human Race. Maybe Matt scream's less, but they make up for it with awesome lyrics.
Glad they record songs on albums as how they wanna play it live. I mean, it's gonna be hard to emulate in a live situation, a song with over 10 layered tracks eh?
When is the next part gonna be up?
There was some serious David influence on this album... The way the verses are structured... Sounds like a disturbed album
I still think this was the best record they did.
So.. part two? :)
Mmmmm interesting !
I saw that Matt did a cover of this song but i don't think it's the same as he play in this video
Claim immunity! "To believe "
Exactly. The lyrics are, on almost every song, very dark and bleak. I don't care that Matt screams less. He only does the metalcore ones on here for effect and I'm cool with that. Songs are pretty memorable too.
Do anyone know which song Matt is playing ?
I was fucked and only thinking only about the tomorrow exam. I watched this video and now I fell awesome. Fuck school. Thanks dudes!

Hmm, ok. Well I hope they don't use any in this next album that's coming out on 15th. Really looking forward to it! ITunes, here I come!
good on you kim, :)
I wonder what Travis thinks about the new album.
January to December 10 months? Thats a year Matt.
Finally someone with common sense
I would love to see Trivium open for Disturbed and bring Draiman out for Incineration
I know now why some music of "Vengeance falls" ("Brave this storm" particuly) sounds like Disturbed
Picked up the album. Loving the fuck out of it. It's different than all their other albums but I'd be disappointed if it wasn't. 'Nuff said.
corey has the best influences
Agreed.
Yea thats what I meant, like I was very surprised they even mentioned it.
Matt is a big Black Metal fan..just look at his shirts
Dude, believe what you want to, but just tell me whether you hear anything close to Shogun or In Waves - those were their transitional albums and we all know that we are never getting back Ember to Inferno or Ascendancy, but seriously, the way Draiman tells Matt what is right and wrong and how each song is so frigging alike to the composition of Disturbed's songs...anyone who understands the foundation of band signatures would easily be able to identify what Draiman has done.
ending of january to begin of december are 10 months
Did they?? I thought they said they didn't ?
Trivium is so fucking awesome!! lmL
Waiting for postman with my fresh CD
what's the acoustic song from 0- 2 minutes??
Metalhead1406 is it really?? I mean, I guess the chords sound very similar, but it sounds like something different. Idk maybe it's just me. I do love that Gibson though. Beautifulest sound in the world.
the entire track "To Believe" sounds like draiman wrote and sang it. This album is not trivium anymore, it's disturbium
Really wished they had 7 string songs on this album
I can't be the only one wondering what chords/song Matt is playing in the intro 😶
If anyone knows, please tell me
that acoustic is expensive as fuck :O lml
