What a great video! Very helpful and also hilarious...at the 6:56 mark. I would assume your son walks in the background and samples your diesel fuel. Im sure he replaced your jar of diesel used earlier in the video with pickle juice. I was laughing so hard! Hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love humor.. what bright young man.
Great video. Very detailed. Hope your helper doesn't go peeing on a fire anytime soon ☺️
Lol, I saw that! Diesel fuel?!?
That's fake. Nobody is that stupid...
@@MFallon303 of course it's fake. It's just humor
@MFallon303 not a chance, that's raw number 2 diesel fuel, definitely not lemon lime Gatorade, surely no mechanic, or his kid, has enough of a sense of humor to make misleading side shows, get real, it's on the internet it HAS to be face value and true!
Ha ha I just saw what you were talking about
Huge, huge help. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I appreciate it a lot!
If you ever get the chance, I would like to watch a quick video of an engine bay clean out. It would be nice to see how someone who does it often gets it clean.
I was just thinking that same thing
I have a 773g. I was able to solve my problems with it because of this video. The biggest thing was reinstalling the grommet. All the other videos made the process so difficult.
My 763 stopped on me today and the video was exactly what I needed to get it going. Thank you!
Thank you. I was able to fix my Bobcat 873 due to watching this. The fuel pickup tube is nearly impossible to get to in this model so I drilled a new hole in the fuel tank for a new fuel pickup tube, and plugged the old line. She's running like a champ now.
Excellent job
We have the 763 also and had the same trouble. Being a 100 miles out of town at our mine I looked around and found a 5/16 air brake line and a heat gun. It's still working at least 12 months later. I like the comedian in the video, might want to up his life insurance. Lol. Good video.
Thank you for this video. I had a no start on my 763 and after watching this I realized I wasn't getting that "click" when I turned the key. Bad fuel solenoid which I'll be replacing. Thanks again for the informative and well made video.
Check your Fuses first 😮....
Love the video it was very well detailed and in-depth on a no start
OMFG!!! I laughed SO HARD when the kid drinks the diesel fuel!!!! Great humor!
That was so helpful how you demonstrated the best way to put the grommet into the tank, I am sincerely grateful...
This video brought me directly to my problem and got me up and running. Great information 👍
Perfect! Glad it helped and I really appreciate the support!
I would gladly pay a subscription fee to be able to ask questions on issues I am having. You cover the topic so well. I just replaced the head in my 753. I would love a video on the best way to flush the cooling system.
Awesome, thank you!
Great video exactly the problem that we had and this helped with being able to fix this on our own. Thank you!!!
Awesome Video...Your helper was hilarious too! Thanks
Thanks for posting this, I just bought a used 743 and could not get it primed, I installed a primer bulb and it worked great, it is now running
Great to hear!
Thanks for the entertaining video. I'm working on a 743, which is somewhat different. It is close enough to get me thinking about things that helped resolve my problem, which was all the proper steps to properly prime mine after a filter change..
Thanks so much for those details, they helped me replace the missing pickup tube in my bobcat 743 this morning, and ive used for a few hours since then, without a hitch. I was aware of tge pickup tube issue from online forums, but your video and explanation how to replace made it go smoothly...
I'm glad the video was helpful.
My pickup tube had fallen off before i got the machine, it's a 7753, so i just have a 2 gallon tank hanging off the side, so there can't be much fuel that returns back to the tank or my tank would be over flowing and i don't see fuel on the ground, but i need to fix the pickup, i have watched other videos where they fight the grommet back in the hard way and it put me off, thanks for the video, now i'm inspired.
Another great video .From beginning to end very informative.
Thanks for these videos, they very educational for a recent bobcat owner like me. I have an 843b. The tilt linkage bar runs under the pump with a pivot right in the center. The bushing is so worn it basically won't work. I have gotten the nut off the bolt but there isn't room for the washer to come off. 1) Where is the head of the bolt? 2) Do I need to loosen the pump to make this repair. Thanks again for the videos.

EXCELLENT!!!!!!!! EXCELLENT video. Explained very well. Wish I had this video 3 years ago and I would not have to redo it again. Thanks
Awesome video, immensely helpful. Thank you!
Fantastic information keep them coming
Thank you, your explanation is excellent
I appreciate your well informed in detail video plus the fun entertainment on the back thanks to your helper buddy. I hope he uses regular diesel Flex fuel diesel I don't know if you going to blow up a gasket or something's going to go wrong with his exhaust pipe😅jk thank you very much once again and you guys have a great day
Excellent video! That's my problem, from blowing compressed air on the tank to unclog that tank filter.
Great video.
Able to fix my 873 on my own.
Hydraulic cylinder fix next, using your video.
Thx so much!
Duuuuuude!!! I’m about dead watching that kid drink diesel 😂
Great information, especially the grommet trick. Need to try this on my T300. Thank you so much for sharing.
Wish I had seen this yesterday. Thank you for your efforts, great video.
Thank you so much! Do you have a video on how to test your fuel pump with it running by revving the engine?
Great video and thanks for posting....quick question, if the engine won't start what is the best and safest way to raise the arms so you can raise the cab to get to the fuel tank. Thanks!
Hi, this is a fantastic video! Thank-you for the taking the time to educate your viewers. I have a similar problem with a Bobcat 864 and hoping you might have some suggestions. The machine was running fine and then it just stopped when sitting at idle. I discovered both the pickup line and return line were in fact completely broke off in the tank. I went through the repair as you instructed, but now I am having difficulty getting the engine to run right. I bled the line on the top of fuel filter per your instruction, yet when the engine is started, it blows a lot of black smoke and runs rough. It has the Deutz engine so it doesn't appear to have the jet valve you shared in the this video. Any suggestions on next steps would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you!
Make sure the lift pump is working by opening the bleeder screw on the fuel filter housing with engine running or while trying to start and see if you get a nice steady stream of fuel from bleeder screw. The black smoke is a little concerning, because black smoke is unburnt fuel which is caused from too much fuel and not enough air. Again first check the lift pump if it's working you might need to check the turbocharger.
Thank-you! Lift pump is working great. Loved the tip on black smoke caused by not enough air. I changed out the air filters, which were pretty dirty, and the machine is working great again. A little smoke when starting, but then the exhaust turns clear with a nice idle. That did the trick. Not sure why it wasn't doing that before the fuel line failure but it seems to all be back in harmony now. Thanks again for your time and posts. They are life saver! Now to follow your other video on changing out the timing belt. Again, thank-you so much!
Just love all your videos, your bobcat knowledge is unsurpassed, your experience shows up in the videos when you demonstrate HOW YOU DO IT and make it look so so simple. I do have a question for you, in an 863 the fuel pickup is located further forward, in what seems an almost impossible place compared to the 763. Is it possible to replace the tank pickup tube without removing the engine?
I remove the engine mounts on the 863 and have a helper use a prybar to lift the pump side to gain access to pickup tube.
very clear video, thank you! My 763 H tank has a lot of debris and water. What is best way to drain tank dry without removing it from machine?
It is possible your tank has a plug in the bottom of it. I should be a small plate on the bottom of your frame you can remove and see if you have the plug on your tank it's literally a metal dowel in a rubber grommet similar to the grommet for the pickup tube. If you remove that plug you will need a new grommet.
Best video for bobcats issues!!
A tech from Bobcat did return my call. On my T630, they recommend the fuel line itself be cut to 16.49"
Great video...easy to watch and understand. Really appreciate the professional advice. Thank you
Excellent video my man!
Great video! Now I won’t ever blow air back into the tank again thinking I’m clearing the line! Ha, ignorance is bliss right? Thx for another education.
I really like your video, you explain so well and so detailed. Someone with very little knowledge like me understood perfectly. Keep up with your video.

Great video! Thanks! Question! I believe my fuel shut off selonoid is bad. If it is bad, does it stay stuck in the 'OFF' position? The only way it starts is if I have someone in the cab turn it over and I manually move the shut off valve to the right 'off of the 'OFF' position, but then the key will not shuit off the engine. I can pull the key right out and it keeps running.? Thanks
Yes, if the solenoid was to fail it will fail in the off position. There's actually a stiff spring inside that pushes it to the off position. It sounds like the plunger is probably rusted and not moving freely. If you disconnect it from the shut off lever you should be able to push it in and it should pop right back out under spring pressure. Try that with the key off. With the key on if you push the solenoid in to the right it should hold itself via the electromagnet. The red wire is constant 12 volts with key on. The white wire is only for the pull and is 12 volts momentarily.
Love your videos and thank you for taking the time doing them. Sharing your knowledge is a time saver. May God bless you and your family.
Great video! I have a 2007 S130 with intermittent fuel starvation issues, primer bulb sucked flat. I suspect my fuel pickup tube, is it the same procedure as your video was to repair/replace?
Yes the S130 should be identical to the procedure in this video
I really enjoy watching your videos. You learn a lot and they are very well done. But this video is a highlight when the young man comes in the background and drinks from the glass with diesel..... Something like that should be included in a video more often. Thank you for this great fun.🤣😂🤣
Thanks for watching!
Great video. on my 873 the parts manual shows the screen the same part no for both pick up and return, you said that one is a check valve, did they do things differently in the 763? Thanks for the video.
Bobcat calls it a screen but it has a built in check valve in the body of the screen
Lots of good information. Thank you for sharing.
Great a tutorial. Only thing my mechanic and I will have to check is if the 90 degree fitting is clogged on my machine.
Very helpful thought the mason jar was diesel at first and kid took a big swig out of it lol
Excellent video, thank you!
Great vid helped with my 2014 t770
Like always great job there, l just wondering how that boy likes that diesel limonade lol 😂😂😂
Lol... first day with a bobcat and here I am wanting to drink some diesel. Excellent vid :)
Very helpful and clear. Thank you. I’ll go and try my machine.
great video i love the touch by your son in the back that was a awesome
Your video was extremely helpful, thank you
My 863g lost its fuel pickup tube during a snowfall of course. Luckily my bobcat mechanic was out on another machine callnearby. He said he'll be able to move the bobcat by going through the fuel filter and a gallon jug of fuel. He had me out of the way in matter of seconds. Do you know about this? I thought it was the slickest thing I saw. For a couple dollars to replace a fuel pickup hose, I replace my hose every fall so there is no problems. Thanks for your videos and help.
Great video. I figured all of this out with no knowledge on a 543 many years ago and am having a slight issue with an E20 currently. Stumbled on to this and wish I had seen it when figuring out the issue on the 543. I think the fueling trouble shooting applies to all basic older Bobcats and mini's. Seems like the concept is the same regardless of the design. Do you have any experience with mini ex E20 or the like? I am having a starving issue after warmed up and did run it almost out of fuel on an angle. I bought the machine a couple days ago and it had a quarter tank or less so figured it was good but it kept shutting off when tilted to the right slightly. I added fuel and squeezed the primer and it was ok until today after it warmed up. Not sure if I got air in it or having a fuel pick up issue. I paid the dealer (it had 1450 hours on it) to do a full service before I picked it up so all filters are new.
thanks you fixed my 763!! One question, what's the best way to get a bucket off that's never been removed for 10+ years and the bob-tach plate and bucket pins are solid rust?
I use an air hammer from the bottom. In extreme cases I have to cut the bottom off the pins to remove bucket and use lots of heat on the pin boss
I think this is my problem on my 863, although I think pick up tube is intact but there is probably a lot of contamination in tank. Also lift pump is leaking from cap so I think it is either going or apparently I have heard a screen in there needs regular cleaning. I will drain tank and check screen tonight once I get machine thawed out.
A very wonderful and informative video! Thankyou! My 98 863 must be a little different. I looked and looked and cannot find the dip tube. I called the local mechanic out from bobcat Lex, KY. they said it was a very labor intensive job. I wonder if I cant make a new fuel line by drilling a hole in the filler
tube and running my own line to the primer bulb? thanks, Phil
Its not that bad, i unbolt engine mounts and raise pump side with long pry bar to access the pickup tube under the pumps. I have seen new holes drilled as a relocation option and seems to work fine.
Thankyou!

Hi, I dont know if you will get this here but I'll try. My fuel problem on my 863 loader seems to be fixed thanks!
I used the loader to go get firewood maybe about 20min. Unloaded the wood and went back to get more, loaded the buckett and then
bam traction lock light started blinking and I couldnt move. I tried a bunch of stuff and no luck. parking break etc. i walked back to the
house and u-tubed it. Went back down to the loader maybe 20min later. i wiggled wires on those relays above the battery.
It seemed to work. i got the loader back up to the house. I am thinking maybe take all the relays out and clean the contacts? Do you
have any thots? Thanks, Phil
Very good thank you. Can you do a video on alternator replacement on a 2007 s 130?
I'm actually about to do a video on an alternator install on a 763 which will be very similar to the s130. Thank you for the suggestion
Great video!!! I learned a lot and got one hell of a laugh out of it too.
Fixed my problem! Thank you great video.
Really good. Thanks!
Thanks man exactly what I was missing
Great video thanks boss!
Bless Have you ever a video about a T190 having false overheating problems, when it’s not really overheating. Great videos
Thanks for the informative video!!!!
Exactly what I needed to see
Excellent tutorial video
We just replaced the fuel pickup tube on a Bobcat scheduled 853 and the fuel pick up tube is directly underneath the center of the hydraulic pub and let me tell you it was a pain in the butt it took 3 hours and you barely had enough room to stick your hand And we had to make a special tool to pry the rubber ground it out
Great video Thanks.
great video thanks
What happens when water gets into system via bad fuel? I have a T250 that got some dirty fuel and now the only way to crank is to spray starting fluid to fire off, bad injectors? or injector pump?
Thank you very much for your video
It’s very helpful I really appreciate it thanks again
Great help
Thanks!
Is the process the same for an '06 T300? Great video!
huge help with this video thanks
Great video! I have had that happen twice on my 763 High Flow. The first time the pickup tube came off right at the fitting and wouldn't start, now it will run until about 3/4 of a full tank and die so I am guessing some of the pickup tube is still on the fitting. I am in the process of lots of work on this unit, drive belt and tensioner pulley, fan gearbox reseal or replacement, fan drive belt tensioner, resealing the spool valves in the valve body and much more. I decided to remove the engine and hydrostatic pump as one unit because of all the work to be done and as of yesterday its just about ready to come out. I have never removed a engine from this model before and was wondering if you had tips on rigging when pulling the engine and pump together, I see a possible problem of a unbalanced load when removing the engine and pump together.. Thanks Mike
Glad to hear your keeping it alive, these machines are so worth the effort in my opinion. You can rig your engine like normal, run a ratchet strap from your engine hoist to the hydraulic pump assembly and that way you can use your ratchet strap to balance your load. It's not perfect but it will work.
@@tetradgroup Thanks brother!! At the cost of newer machines its worth the effort. I am drawing out a replacement seat pan for the cab on my CNC plasma table at the moment and am going to cut out and make the tool you used in your other video to reload the detent balls in the spool valve in your other video. Great videos and thanks again!
@@mco1959 sweet, I'd like to see the seat pan when you are done, All Skid Steers sells one, I haven't had a need to replace one yet.
Hey I am back again...I have this pick up tube issue and am currently repairing with your help. Question I have a 2001 763 G series, I want to change the fuel filter. Do you have a video on this?
Disregard, stupid question. But I am going to change the Hydro Filter if you have any videos for that.
Nice video verry helpful thanks very educational
I'm a 69 yr old female flower farmer.
I hope I can fix my Bobcat myself
It does start but won't idle properly. Feels like fuel supply. I guess I should check the fuel filter first
Only one question how do you get the lift arms up if it will start?
Depends on what's wrong with it, in this case we could use a can of diesel as a fuel tank, drop the supply line in, prime machine, and start it up.
Agree a great video... thanks
Thanks for sharing! It helped me get mine back running. Is that your son drinking out of that jar. He looks like my grandson.
Great video thank you
I have that problem now , But I got a reconditioned engine put into it 751 Skid steer 2years ago and where the Stop valve and rubber gramet fits down in the tank can’t find it , They must have put the tank in backwards, must check if there is a side plate so I can see in
Lol love the kid in the back drinking diesel fuel.
Excellent video it just happened to my 773.
Good day Sir. I have a bobcat skid steer 753f and my problem is it won’t stay running and now it won’t start. It turns over but it won’t start. Can you give some tips on what to check.
Do you have fuel to the primer bulb? Check the lift pump by opening bleeder screw on fuel filter housing and turn the engine over and see if fuel pumps out of bleeder. Is the fuel solenoid opening? Do you have any smoke from muffler when trying to start? Remove the drive belt to rule out any hydraulic load on engine. Although I don't recommend, will it start with a little bit of ether? Are you sure you have good diesel in the tank? You could try to put a fuel hose in a separate diesel tank to make sure you have good fuel.
great teaching
Thank you!
Great video, kids hilarious 😂.
Haha that cracked me up! Well done!
What do you do if you can't get the primer bulb to pump up?I put a new one on and still can't get it to pump up. I put a new check valve in it. The old o e was still on there.
I’ve got a 7775 John Deere not getting fuel from the pickup tube I’m trying to see if it’s okay to unscrew it and take it out or is there something that would break down there with me unscrewing it?
What type of Oreilly hydraulic fluid are you using in that bucket sitting there?
