"we're still talking about a wiring harness" lmao i spit my drink out. lmao
This video helped to me finally solve a no start/no crank issue on my s175 today; one that has been plaguing me for a couple of months. I had power to the cab and I was getting a code for hydrostatic filter not connected. I changed the pressure sensor at the hydraulic housing, swapped relays, looked for broken wiring, but no dice. Thanks to this video, I decided to pull out my multimeter and recheck the ground cables for resistance. It turns out my battery ground cable to chassis was bad and was causing the computer to send a false code. I purchased a new cable for $10 , installed it, and the machine fired right up. Had I not used a multimeter, I would have never found the issue, as the wire looks completely intact upon visual inspection. I am grateful for this channel and others like it, that are willing to share their knowledge and expertise.
I just bought an S175. Went through the whole harness to verify no one has been in it and all is satisfactory. On to engine work. You taught me a ton sir. Keep it going. Thanks
LMAO! Great video. Makes me feel good that I'm not the only one who GOES NUTZ trying to find these electrical problems in ANY computerized vehicle!
Today I took your advice on this Bobcat 773 diagnostic and looked for the obvious. AND, I didn't use my PowerProbe Tracer! So, after checking all wires between the control panels and the ECM, checking the battery and cleaning/testing all grounds, and reassembling everything and testing for power at every fuse and relay in the fuse panel, we concluded that all wires led back to the ECM from both directions. So we removed the ECM cover and found the silicone goop cracked on the red capacitor at its base. A gentle lift on that capacitor showed both leads to be broken. The OBVIOUS here is NO CAPACITOR CONNECTION on the ECM. Took a full day of testing but we finally found at least one part of the problem. Your perseverance was inspirational!
If you don't mind me asking, do you know what the capacitor specs are on this red (mylar) capacitor? It has no text anywhere on it!
Very glad to see in the field repair videos back!! I learn a lot from all of your videos. Thanks so much!!
Thanks for the shout out lol😂 thought for sure it was a battery issue. F that circuit tracer
My buddy has a T200 that had an intermittent no start condition. I checked everything from the keypad towards the battery. I couldn't see anything wrong with any of the wiring. It was only when I felt of the wires from the keypad down under the cab to where it entered the main harness. I ended up with only a 1/4" of wire to connect to before it entered the main harness. I was so glad I didn't have to cut into that main harness. Love your channel.
Best video for Bobcat electrical issues.
I love your work, Thank you for sharing the video.
Tesa tape ordered. Nice tip, and great video as always :)
Great video, Thanks for sharing! Some guys swear by the tracer tools but I never had it work for me yet!
My 7753 is not turning the control panel on, stopped working when i rebuilt the cooling fan drive, now i feel inspired to try and figure it out, thanks for the video.
Great video buddy electrical problems can be a real pain in the butt to locate
They said they were to the moon.
Too bad shrink tube wasn't flexible after installing! Nice job 👍
Awesome real time process of trouble shooting. Wins and losses with meters . But you showed a clear path of victory keeping it simple. And I liked your voltage drop testing …with load on circuit …. Please emphasize VD for next time . I don’t believe enough mechs use Voltage Drop correctly to troubleshoot. Hey and Thanks.
You did it! I never had luck with those tools.😂
Wow good find.
Could be my issue. Guess I’ll take a look and find out. Already rules out the starter, the starter relay, but no ignition yet. Good video!
Thank you for sharing sir. Same issues before I have bobcat s450 I will be repair.
Thanks Andy, excellent job. Chasing electrical shorts aren’t easy.
Lol his name is Brady
Yep, tossed my Snap-on wire tracer into storage after its first use. Haven't come across a circumstance where it works. I just use a multimeter in continuity mode checking between connectors. that eliminates the wires in that section of the harness and can usually find the fault if left on beep mode you can wiggle harness and listen for the break making contact.
Love the video.. i cant believe you dont have 1million followers.. 😊
Great TECH tips. I have a S70 with the same problem. Where can I buy the spades ,female conectors for the starter relay & fuses? My local dealer do not sell them for the button of my New fuse box .
Great video I'm having the exact same issue with my S100, where did you get your jumper wire from?
Have you ever seen an issue where the arms can only lift part of the way? Still has tilt control and drives like normal though. I thought it could be an electrical issue but I’m not sure.
Had the exact same problem on a S150 last year ! The worst part is that the wire already had a splice. Seems like a common failure point on these machine :-/
Thank you for the videos, I need your help, where can I purchase the little plastic bushings for the swashplate control rod in the pump?? Please help
Nice!!!!!Bro :))
You’re a stud
Hey guys, I have a old Melroe Bobcat 642. The float detent function on the left pedal works and locks in, but the lift arms dont float, instead they are on full power downwards, as if you were pressing your left toes down without going into float mode. When it is in float mode you also cannot operate the right pedal at all. The linkages aren't hanging up. I recently put new seals in the control valve. Did I put the valve back together wrong, and if so, how? Thank you
Don't you hate it when for a couple of dollars they could have added some wiring loom wherever there's the potential for wear? It's like they designed it to outlast the warranty and that's all they care about. 🙄
Yep
I have a circuit tracer as well and I swear it has cost me more time than it has ever saved. I really should throw it in the trash.
Another great video. There must be an art to using a circuit transmitter, even when I have been successful with one of these its been like chasing a ghost. Like the way you repair the harness.
Really curious as to why you dont like electrical tape
Can you leave a link for that red, circuit chaser tool you used on this video.
Great videos.
Thanks

Tenho 1 S510 que não desboqueia o botao verde, e quando se prime o botao verde aparece o P a piscar, o que pode ser ??
👍
Hi. I have a S550. Recently I was having issues with the AC not working well. I called a Auto Electrician who came out and told me after a check that the Evap Cooler was leaking. Initially the clutch on the ac was engaging but not disengaging. When starting in the morning, it would cycle on and off a few times and then just remain engaged. The AC would slowly fail to blow cold air after this. So I was told a new evap cooler was needed. So I had the cooler replaced and now the same thing happens. The clutch engages once and does not disengage. I get ice cold air for about 20 minutes and then it starts to warm up. Upon turning the ac switch off, the cold air returns as the cooler defrosts. It seems to freeze up and then stop blowing the cold air. Now I am being told the thermostat/ de icer is not switching the compressor off. I cannot find anyone here in Melbourne Australia who knows what they are doing. Especially when it comes to Bobcat equipment. It's so frustrating. Any tips or ideas to rectify my ac problem. Do I pull the trigger and buy an new thermostat/de icer switch. Or is there another way to determine what is causing the compressor not to switch/cycle. Cheers.
Not sure about Bobcat A/C as my T250 doesn't have it but the symptoms you describe are common in cars with restricted air flow across the evaporator. In a car the the issue is usually a blocked cabin filter that restricts air flow across the evaporator. It then ices up which restricts air flow which causes things to get warm in the cabin. The ice on the evaporator then melts , which cools the cabin for a short time and the cycle repeats. Maybe check you have good airflow to the evaporator coil.
I have R series S62 and all of a sudden it gives this error: U10B1-08 left joystick grip message failure and U10B0-08 Left joystick base message failure. machine won't move. Can anyone shed some lights please?
My s250 won’t start and gives an error message 8250, “ starter relay signal wire”voltage not present when voltage expected
Just died in the middle of operation, turns over but won’t start.
Fixed it !!!!! I guess when it’s staved off fuel it sends the starter relay error code.
I have a question to find out if my question is worth a $$call.
16-07 traction issue , my controler dose not recognize my t200 is running. The issue is deeper than the speed sensor. I have bypassed my traction so I can operate 15 min @atime.
Spent - new controller $1400
Help.
Its usually a wiring issue between the sped sensor and the controller. You will need to do a continuity test on the circuit.
I sure wish you could have shown us what you were doing instead of just telling us what you were doing.
You sure make it all look easy.
