It's called foldback. The performer wears headphones/ear pieces so they can hear the entire band because they aren't all together when they record. Drummer in a seperate room etc. In live performances, earpieces are worn for the same reason but because they help prevent feedback due to unnessesary monitors.
I've met him, at the warped tour, I have pictures. I also met him when he went on tour with Panic!, I was at the one where plain white ts couldn't come.
@Chezmat1 yes sir is was that young, I own the movie 'Dear Jack' and he talks about going on tour when he was like 18. He got diagnosed with cancer at age 22 which was after Something Corporate went on hiatus! :)
@JBJones66 i met him at the sydney soundwave festival a couple of year back. i brought a copy of audioboxer and he signed it. he said "walking by" help him get his misses :)
