From the early days w/Dad driving me all over the North East. I sometimes forget how lucky I was but just came from watching the finals at my Dad's house and it comes back.

    Dearl Lord you've got some of the best wrestlers on the planet here. With the coaches, wrestlers, and you've got Jordan Burroughs on the Mike and Kyle dake on the mat. This tournament had been incredible. The Lee Ramos match was so sick. The Vito vs. RBY was pretty dam amazing as well. RLTW 3/75

    It just shows how competitive wrestling is that Sasso pushed Yianni. Even with Yianni's international freestyle experience. Sasso wants an NCAA title. Yianni wants an Olympic gold.

    Sammy might be the slowest starter to a season but definitely finishes strong when it matters. Watching his first matches to his seasons idk if it's his cardio or what.

      Honestly I don't think it hurt anyone. It was, however, incredibly impressive. I'm still not sure how it worked, or how he had the confidence to execute that and know it would work. Absolutely crazy move

    To be great at this level, you gotta be training with sharks 4-5yrs older than you. Yanni was training with the Cornell wrestling team while he was in high school. Sad to say this is a privilege sport now..steel sharpens steel PERIOD...

    Sasso got out scrambled. Also, on a guy like Yianni you can't just dive in on an ankle and expect to finish, his defense is too good. You have to take a well timed shot straight to a finish, Sasso's style just doesn't match up well.

      If you look closely you can see Yianni's arms wrapped around Sammy's leg, so there was no way he could have stepped around and gotten the 2.

    In a main event fight the challenger is introduced first and made to wait as the champ enters.

    i remember meeting Yianni when he was a freshman and I was a junior at cornell. he walked by our party and was surprised that me and my friends knew who he was. he’s of course really become a star in the wrestling world since then but in any case, i’m grateful to have witnessed his college career. go big red 🥲
