      Heres the thing, maybe maybe not...but yianni for some reason always find a way to win...I dont know why but he does...lets say that he didnt score that two...I wouldnt be surprised if he immediately scored to a few seconds later, it's weird watch his matches he just finds a way...its not tangible but he has a lot of matches that he "should" have lost...I'm not saying it was the right call, and im.not say it's fair but I think some people are.just born winners and figure it out somehow...

    Great showing by both men. Yanni seems to at times lose points at rulings when the call escapes me...still good fortune later shined on him last period of this match which in turn had everything all evened out in the end ...and the last take down called the true victor correctly.

    This was Mckennas match to win man he needed to belly out more and earlier in those last seconds of regulation he let him do a jr high johny step over after laying lazily on his side on his hip for a few very avoidable. Was a bad call for the step over earlier where he shoulda had two and two swipes.

    Did it he judges ever actually overturn their original ruling. I haven’t been watching wrestling that long but I have been being watching matches since I started watching and I’ve seen any challenges and not once has the ref been like “I was wrong” and awarded points.

      The actual name is a belly tip (freestyle move normally), but then he put it in sort of a grape-vine with his leg, but used his leg like it was a cement-job to turn over McKenna.

      The step-over is a very common move and hard to tell where exactly it goes from neutral to take down but I do agree with the scoring

    Honestly as a certified official i have a large amount of respect for officials. Especially officials on this level in the world's largest stage and I know the assistant official. With that being said the first takedown should have been called the second one definitely not

    I really like Yianni but that takedown call was terrible.. I thought the one they denied was more legit than the one they counted at the end. Being in what appears to be better position isnt enough is it? Dont you have to have control. At no point during that last takedown did I feel Yianni had control. In the refs favor it must be really hard to ref matches with Yianni. It just doesnt always seem that clear cut.

    I saw two there all day.He has the hips perfectly covered and Mckenna did not have a leg grabbed. Grabbing the top of the torso is not defending a take down.

    It was actually the 3rd or 4th rip that day Cornell over OSU. Myles Martin was also robbed as Max Dean shined the mat with his belly for 6 minutes.     Yianni is a great wrestler but he isn’t as good as people think. At least not yet. It showed at World teams and Olympic trials. Not world class yet. And if he would have wrestled 141 and not that shit 149 weight class last year Nick Lee would have been more than he could’ve handled

    That was the worst called national final match I’ve ever seen. First the takedown they took away from McKenna should of been 2. He clearly had control for a good second. Then the “takedown tha yanni got at the buzzer was absolutely b crap. There was never full control and he never put the boot in. Terrible.

    Sorry Yanni, Joey is the champ in my mind. Those controversial takedown points at end of regulation were a gift from the ref. McKenna wins. Why can't you ever just get a clean win. This is tainted one.Sorry.

      Yes that takedown at the end was probably not 2, but how can you say that 6:57 wasn’t a takedown? I’m pretty it was just a makeup call

    NCAA officials never admit mistakes. First one was an obvious near-fall and again at 11:50
