    You know, maybe this can force me to overcome that "turning frontside" dilemma I just can't shake off no matter how hard I try to not "turn my shoulders & hips". I try to ollie over cracks, turn frontside. I ollie stationary, turn frontside. Maybe being right next to a curb, parallel, stationary, and working that front foot to make its way to the curb may help me.

    • @nextlvlroy
      @nextlvlroy 3 роки тому +1

      @@SkatingwithAaron Yeah, it's very annoying the turning frontside thing. I didn't always have that habit, but now for some reason it's gotten worse recently. I honestly feel it's prob my front foot pushing towards that direction, but others say it's the shoulders. I sort of compensate for it by turning slightly backside, but it's so uncomfortable doing that, especially while rolling.

    Ali height is about one cone high, but the back foot falls off the board a lot when doing Ali-up. What should I do?

    • @SkatingwithAaron
      @SkatingwithAaron  3 роки тому +1

      You’ve got a pretty good Ollie if you’re level and about cone height. Awesome job! If you mean there’s a gap between your back foot and the tail, there is a small gap for most skaters if you watch someone Ollie in slow motion. However if it’s a big gap, you want to make it smaller. Try a quicker/ harder snap when you pop. It may be that the board is not springing you quick enough to stay near your foot. It could be your timing, or genera mechanics as well, but start with this and film yourself if possible to really see what’s going on. Hopefully this helps!

    My public park sucks, there are very slanted roads near the curbs, its gotten to the point where ollying up it is like trying to ollie up a damn skyscraper from the deapest bottom of the ocean. This is the reason why many people quit skateboarding, its because these public parks do everything in their power to prevent skaters because they are quote on quote, "bad influences to everyone around them" and want people to quit the sport

    • @SkatingwithAaron
      @SkatingwithAaron  5 місяців тому +2

    • @SkatingwithAaron
      @SkatingwithAaron  3 роки тому +1

      That’s awesome I’m glad I could help! Let’s keep it going! First thing is do you feel super comfortable with your Ollie while moving? If you’re not consistent then keep practicing it as this will help with your confidence. Second tip is like I did in the Ollie while moving tutorial, line yourself up next to an object and make sure you can clear it from the side. Try it over and over before actually trying to clear the object. Last tip, make sure you first object is something small that will easily be knocked down or moved if you hit it. If your starting off with a permanent object like a curb, it makes things a lot more scary thinking about catching the back trucks! Let me know if this helps or if you’re still having trouble!

      Swing and a miss! Pun intended! Welcome to the channel though. I hide a pineapple in most of my videos as a fun scavenger hunt. Started as a two part planned giveaway on the road to my first 1k subs. I kept doing it because people really enjoy looking for it. Also I showed it in the beginning because everyone is afraid of catching their trucks and eating it when first trying to ollie a curb. Trying to keep the mood light by showing you’re not going to die. Lol
