How did you get the value of 500 which you used to multiply your height distance
500m is equal to 50000cm. the scale of the map is 1:50000cm and you need to convert it into m to match the unit of the vertical interval. so 1:500m is the same as 1:50000cm

I don't understand how you got the 500metersBecause converting cm to meter is ÷100 which is 5÷100 is 0.05
