I’m sure I’m not the only person watching this the morning before a Geo exam
Literally me right now 10 minutes before a test.

I just want to say that you, south african matt damon, have single handedly saved my ass from failing a lab where no one bothered to teach the materials
I'm glad the video helped. All of the best with the other tests, etc.

Thank you for that, I'm going through a tough time. God bless you too!
Watched your videos last year during matric and banged a distinction in Geography.
This year im in university and you're still my hope🙏
Actually, He did not change the mm to cm, why do u divide mm (1:20 000) with cm(1:50 000)
Aren't u suppose to convert the scale into cm the same as the one of 1:50 000?
Yea you are correct im also confused...I thought the VS was supposed to be in cm same as the HS
Exactly he did say himself 'we wanna compare apples with apples'
That's what confuses me too
*THANK YOU MY PROFESSOR COULDN'T EXPLAIN SOMETHING SO SIMPLE* 🤦♂️
I never thought Joe Rogan would comment on any of my videos, thanks Joe! 😄
Please do a video on 1" latitude and 1" longitude on a orthophoto map and it's differences. Thank you so much! You vids help a lot
Yooo😭😭Im watching this 4 hrs before my paper
I hope it goes well!
Really like your videos❤ Thank you for that.❤🎉
Glad you find my videos useful. All of the best with the studies!
Funny how this guy made me pass my final exammintion in matric(final high school level) now im back to watch it again in varsity
And here I am watching it the morning before a prelim exam .. it's 05:26 right now 😂😅
I'm Also Watching this Video before I will go and Write Geo❤️🗝️
May it go well!
I'm writing in 8 hrs..this was very helpful 🤗🤗😭😭
Hope it goes well!
Isn't VE= HS/VS ???
Hi, I know this can be confusing but I'm sure it's VS/HS. Click this link for confirmation: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertical_exaggeration. All of the best with the studies!
No
it doesn't matter which way you do it,i believe both give the same answer if done correctly
😊you are the best🎉🎉🎉
I'm glad you find the video helpful!
k but like how do you change the topographic profile to represent the new vertical exaggeration
Thank you, please continue making this video's
Welcome! I'll try but I've been really busy. May the studies go well!
To us who are watching this video a day before a test/exam
May it go well!
i look like a water bottle
Hi Jenna, this is for high school students but if really you want to know, I can explain to you on Monday. :-)
sure
1mm=to
Umm sir I'm Kinder confused isn't the VS supposed to be in cm just like the HS ?
Hi, I actually converted everything to mm. You need everything to be the same unit of measurement whether it's cm or mm, doesn't matter. Just use whatever makes sense in the situation. I hope this helps.
no cap lol
all your videos were helpful and simple
Thanks mate, I was working on a late night hw and you saved my life !!! God bless !!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I'm glad you found the video useful. God bless you too!
Thank you so much, I was about to fail this Lab.
Dropped a sub for that.
You're welcome. I'm glad the video helped!
thanks, you make it look really simple :)
I'm glad you find my videos helpful, may the studies go well!
what if you're not given vertical scale ? how do you find it with topographic map and cross section?
is the vertical scale always given?
Yes, they should give you the vertical scale, otherwise you won't be able to use the formula ;-)
Sir is really good
I'm glad you found it helpful. May the studies go well!
Your videos are really helpful. Thanks for the great video
I'm glad to hear that. May the studies go well!
I'm not a teacher but I'm sure this is wrong. You forgot to convert to cm
thank you
Welcome!
don't you have to convert the mm to m?
Hi, the reason I didn't do it is because there are a few small numbers in the calculation which would give you a decimal number of 0,... if converted to meters. For example, if you convert something like 4 mm to meters, it would make things a bit complicated. I hope that answers your question. ;-)
@@fish9529 i understand u sir!
i tried to comvert 4mm to devide it by 1000(from mm to m we devide by 1000.from m to mm ee multiply by 1000..so when i divided 4 by 1000 i got a scientific number (4×10^-3)
Look when I wanna pay attention 🤣🤣🤣
Exam in 8 hours☹️☹️
May it go well!
@@fish9529 it did… thank you very much🔥🔥🔥❣️
@@teekay3747 That sounds positive, good job!
Nah.. isn't it HS÷VS????
Great video thanks
Hi Fish
For the exaggeration, is it the lower the number is, the easier it is to climb or walk a slope or mountain? Like in the vid you said "10 times" so is that a low and gentle gradient and as the number increases it becomes steeper?
That's correct.
@@fish9529 thank you very much 🙏
Nice bro
south african or new zealand???
SA 😉
my geography exam starts in 3 hours
May it go well!
Thank you sir.You are methodical in your teachings. I like it

Thanks for the feedback; may the studies go well!
We all appreciate your help and we all hope you are well!
Thanks so much for the positive feedback. I hope you and your folks are also doing well!
Can we use different units on numerator and denominators? I mean, my vertical scale is 1 cm representing 20 ft, while horizontal scale is 1 cm representing 1 km.
Good day Mr.Fish
Can please explain or post a video about inter-visibility?
Hi Tsiko, that's a good idea. I am quite busy preparing my students for their final exam, so it won't be possible within the next few weeks or so. However, I'll keep it in the back of my mind. All of the best with the studies!
Thank you. May God bless and protect you, your family and your students through this difficult time we are facing.
