The woman being interviewed is my daughter’s school principal 😀. Thank you for bringing your expertise to South Africa and for being of great service to my community. You are brilliant as a principal, you instill discipline and an all round culture of excellence in our children. My child looks up to you, she even tries to emulate your accent sometimes. I'm South African. How I came about this channel was I was bored and sick if watching videos about South Africa and the negativity that came from it. Yes I live here, I'm aware of the bad and the ugly, we tend to focus alot on that. So this channel was really a breathe of fresh air. Ive watched all videos & subscribed. So whenever I watchthe news about the country and need a giod pick me up, I come here. I really want to thank the Blantons not only for this channel but also for promoting us and the continent and painting us in good light. I hope both the business and the channel grows and that after the pandemic you guys receive bucket loads of bookings. Lots of love.

Martha Mphofu I read your comment. You will be glad to know that much of this country now knows the whole difference between then and now. We understand just how rich in culture and diversity South Africa. I cannot wait until I can come and visit.

    • @marthamphofu5965

@@gardenbosso2335 what does that have to do with anything? My comment is nothing but the appreciation I have for the Blantons on what they are trying to do, gore who lives where has nothing to do with it. But to add to you unnecessary comment, as a citizen I am well aware of the social and economic ills we have in this here country and I'm also aware of how these ills are juxtaposed with the good of the Country. My point was, you Google search or UA-cam search 'South Africa' and all you get is the unfortunate side. How are we supposed to attract possible investors like African Americans (who could possibly in turn create employment to the people) to the country, if all that is being shown is negative? The Blantons have said many times that they are trying to showcase THE REAL REAL REAL SA. Which is a well rounded melting pot.
Anyway next time come correct, we don't have to be negative all the time, otherwise you falling into that trap and being labelled as a 'mad, poor, fly on the face, skin and bones mulnourished African' which I'm sure you are not. Not even the people who live in RDP's.
Lots of love my fellow citizen.

I'm from Cape Town, living in Jo'burg since 2014. Cape Town consists of about 40% Black African community, 40% "Coloured" and Indian/Arabian community and about 20% European community. Segregation of these communities is more obvious than in other parts of S.A. Whites live close to the mountains, beaches and everywhere that is nice, "Colourds"/Indians/Arabs live in the center of the city and make up the bulk of the middle class and unfortunately the Black community is still far from proper economic participation and live mainly on the outskirts of the city. As a result, non Xhosa speakers (the language of the Black community) visiting Cape Town do not feel a sense of Africa in the city and Black people who've never visited believe there are no Black people there or Black people are a minority. I never realized that the energy in Cape Town was "off" until I went to visit after having lived in Jo'burg.

I'm from the East of Joburg and as a result, I've been exposed to different languages from an early age and can speak at least 7 languages -- so it's highly likely that you'll be exposed to iSiZulu and IsiXhosa, along with Sesotho, Sepedi or Setswana. iSiZulu is very common as a first language in the Black population here, so is IsiXhosa and other indigenous languages. Just note that English is spoken as well, esp. amongst the working class, so no worries there.

what i like about this channel is that is that, people are having real conversation , be it facts or lies about their experiences about south Africa, and in south Africa, call a black person (k""fr)=Nigga, get you a jail time, we do not have time to feeling sorry about ourselves now, if you call me a K word , i record you and take you to court, get my cheque (money), real south Africa is about having open robust conversation , the channel like they have advised before, if you want to see the negative, there's plenty of information on internet , so let DR Latasha and hubby promote the side that , benefits others who wish to visit SA for business or leisure ...as most AA do not visit because of misconceptions.
thank you God bless you abundantly for your effort :-) , while others want to faults your approach , their missing the bigger picture of the infinite possibilities that they might have if they consider the visit
