My husband and I got rid of 99.9% of everything we owned to move to a campground. We went from a motorhome to a caravan then a campervan. I loved the life but I can't drive. My husband died last July, I had to sell the van and go back to owning stuff in a flat. I loved my campground time, by a beach listening to the waves at night. I got to live a dream, not everyone can say that. The moral of the story is to do what makes your heart sing as life is to short. We had the best 18 months with no regrets.

My husband wanted to know why at my age I was skipping around my living room. My son wanted to know why when he passed the "Bar" there was no skipping. You might want to consider (if you haven't already done so) a safety deposit box for your treasured and irreplaceable items, such as your military ribbons, medals, etc., rather than keeping them in your van. Of course, you can also scan photos to enjoy on your laptop and keep the originals into the safety deposit box as well. You have probably already thought of this.

I want to tackle my 2nd storage and donate more of my stuff stored due to divorce. I have not used it for awhile; thus I don’t need it. Reduce the amount of stuff is my resolution for the new year.

Hello ~ hope you are doing good ~ I was just thinking while you was talking in your storage facility is that you should consider keeping the black box with latches ~ one because it’s bigger and you might can combine two into that one, second since it has latched it will be more secure keeping moisture, bugs and water out, and third if you ever needed an additional seat down the road it is more sturdy for that. I break down everything I do by calling it a "task" and do, at least, a few a day. It could be doing something as simple as a load of laundry, vacuuming, cleaning a closet, making the bed or meal, etc. This has now rubbed off on my sister and a friend, and when we talk, we now reference the number of tasks we accomplished that week. We're all in our 70's, so we've learned to pace ourselves:) On today's docket, the main task for today is grooming my drama queen long hair chihuahua (after watching you), which isn't easy, since she hates it and acts like I'm killing her. Wow, you're almost at 100k! YAY!!!

I have lived in Michigan my whole life (70) and just love it! I love the distinction of the 4 seasons. Our winters in the last decade have not been bad at all. I am lamenting the lack of snow from my childhood. I always start riding my bike outside again by the river in mid-January.😊

Take care of your digestive system. I used to eat to fast and now at 55 , I can’t tolerate 🌶 because it burns coming out, undigested food can cause issues too. I recommend pausing between bites. No Shade.. I was 40 yesterday in my mind. So take care of your belly and your Quads for your knees. 🌶✨
We are nomads too (we travel internationally full-time) and I am an introvert. When we left we had to downsize everything we owned into 2 carry-on suitcases and two tech backpacks. It was rough but we got it done (during 2020 when even donating things were hard to do because of the pandemic). Traveling as light as possible makes the experience less stressful, especially because we are UA-camrs as well (currently on a three month break while we plan out our 2023 travels through Europe and our 2023 content🎉). You will be so happy when you are done downsizing and hit the road. So proud of you! Also, we just bought those rode mics on our last trip to the U.S. in December. Can't wait to use them! They were sold out in almost every store so you are so lucky that your location had them. We got the last one on the shelf too.

Seeing your video pop up made my whole day and the fact that they have been getting longer makes me very happy. They are so relaxing to watch. That sub looks good. Kind of like a philly cheese steak. I am definitely going to try one. I had baked chicken, sauteed spinach and a petite sweet potato for dinner. Instead of resolutions I like to set goals to achieve throughout the year and I revise them as the year unfolds. Life is fluid so my goals are as well. You are so right. I am 70 yo and know that I am living on borrowed time. I am in the process of discarding all unusable material things. All i need at this juncture is a roof over my head, food, good health and few clothing.

I am also happy to see another year. My new year’s resolution is to declutter more. I cleared out one storage because of you and it felt so good. I want to tackle my 2nd storage and donate more of my stuff stored due to divorce. I have not used it for awhile; thus I don’t need it. Reduce the amount of stuff is my resolution for the new year.

I embraced minimalism when my house burned to the ground and I lost everything. Now I only have what I need and all of it is either second hand, thrifted or bought on clearance and I am completely happy. Shout out to Jersey Mikes you would make a great spokesperson !

Hello ~ hope you are doing good ~ I was just thinking while you was talking in your storage facility is that you should consider keeping the black box with latches ~ one because it’s bigger and you might can combine two into that one, second since it has latched it will be more secure keeping moisture, bugs and water out, and third if you ever needed an additional seat down the road it is more sturdy for that. Just one girl living out of boxes right now giving another girl my thoughts and what has worked for me❤️❤️❤️as always sending you a BIG CYBER HUG!!! X

I break down everything I do by calling it a "task" and do, at least, a few a day. It could be doing something as simple as a load of laundry, vacuuming, cleaning a closet, making the bed or meal, etc. This has now rubbed off on my sister and a friend, and when we talk, we now reference the number of tasks we accomplished that week. We're all in our 70's, so we've learned to pace ourselves:) On today's docket, the main task for today is grooming my drama queen long hair chihuahua (after watching you), which isn't easy, since she hates it and acts like I'm killing her. Wow, you're almost at 100k! YAY!!!

I have lived in Michigan my whole life (70) and just love it! I love the distinction of the 4 seasons. Our winters in the last decade have not been bad at all. I am lamenting the lack of snow from my childhood. I always start riding my bike outside again by the river in mid-January.😊

Lived in Bay City then down to Oakland county to White Lake before moving to Florida for good when I was 25. People in Michigan are way kinder ! Like hold the door open for each other wave when you pass each other on the street kind of people! You don't get that here! Oh and how I miss Vernors Ginger ale and faygo pop!!!

Take care of your digestive system. I used to eat to fast and now at 55 , I can’t tolerate 🌶 because it burns coming out, undigested food can cause issues too. I recommend pausing between bites. No Shade.. I was 40 yesterday in my mind. So take care of your belly and your Quads for your knees. 🌶✨
We are nomads too (we travel internationally full-time) and I am an introvert. When we left we had to downsize everything we owned into 2 carry-on suitcases and two tech backpacks.
It was rough but we got it done (during 2020 when even donating things were hard to do because of the pandemic). Traveling as light as possible makes the experience less stressful, especially because we are UA-camrs as well (currently on a three month break while we plan out our 2023 travels through Europe and our 2023 content🎉).
You will be so happy when you are done downsizing and hit the road. So proud of you!
Also, we just bought those rode mics on our last trip to the U.S. in December. Can't wait to use them! They were sold out in almost every store so you are so lucky that your location had them. We got the last one on the shelf too.

Seeing your video pop up made my whole day and the fact that they have been getting longer makes me very happy. They are so relaxing to watch. That sub looks good. Kind of like a philly cheese steak. I am definitely going to try one. I had baked chicken, sauteed spinach and a petite sweet potato for dinner.
Instead of resolutions I like to set goals to achieve throughout the year and I revise them as the year unfolds. Life is fluid so my goals are as well.
I’ve actually made a list of every area of my apartment that needs to be cleaned out. I’m starting this weekend with the front hall closet and the storage closet on the porch.
