I find myself listening to Ben Howard’s music every single day since 2011. There isn’t a single song I dislike or even fault. They’re all timeless and Ben Howard will go down as the best singer songwriter ever that no one has ever heard of.

I wish I knew what kind of effect pedals are being used here. Some kind of delay, but there’s something else I think
I think Ben's delay is a filtered delay along with some reverb, tape delay emulation maybe as the signal seems to get more and more low passed with every reiteration! As for the other guitar I think it's just an expression pedal on the volume to bypass the attack of each note

I try to play so I watch the tabs on many pages but I feel like the 4th chords doesn’t sound great maybe it need to tuned in an other way? (sorry for the spelling mistakes I’m French)
The tuning that Ben uses is DACAGD (from thicker string to thinner string), hope that helps! As to the chords you are using I’m not sure, I would need to see the tab you’re using.

Yeah he is using a volume pedal on his pedalboard. He pick and immediately afterwards he fades in super fast and then fades out before plucking the next note. So you never hear the attack of the pick. Just the after effect.

+SamCrowe He runs through a Strymon Brigadier and Big Sky for delay and reverb. I don't hear a transparent overdrive anywhere, but his sound is perfectly bright
