I just installed a Jensen C12K 100 watt 4 ohm speaker in my Debut 50r. Lots more bass! Word of warning: If you decide to swap speakers, you have to remove the chassis in order to access the two top speaker mounting screws!
@@BryanClark-gk6ie I compared the Blackstar with the Fender transistor amps, not with tube amps. In my more than 50 years of stage life I have had many transistor amps from Fender...Gibson...Peavy etc. but the Blackstar is clearly better in terms of clean sound. I would also like to own a tube amp again, but after so many years my back doesn't work anymore... as the tube amps have become too heavy for me... and the Blackstar only weighs 9 kilograms... just right for me. I want expecting the black star to hang with the fender on the same level but i was expecting it to hold its own which it did surprisingly well tbh. Theres abt as much diff between these two as there usually is between two tube amps. Not bad for the price and definitely making the case that solid state can sound great when its got a good circuit. MOSFET transistors in ss amps is nothing new but they always did sound good especially when marshall used them in their solid state amps back in the day.

I Have the Blackstar..for me the best Solid State Amp that I hve since the 70's..the Blackstar has a great clean Sound better than Fender
