I know it looks like I misspelled “squeeks”, but I didn’t lol. That’s really how I spelled it back in the day when referring to the little guys, so it’s canon for me now 😂 Also, as much as I appreciate you guys, I’m not gonna be dropping any links or website recommendations for the toys in this video…because…*wait for it*…they’re not sold anywhere 😂😂. they’re all over a decade old, so the only place left to buy them is eBay. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching :)
SWEET MACGYVER and his Holy Duct tape this thing is absolutely CRAPTASTICA on a stick in all the best ways !!! I would love LOVED THIS,....I STILL WOULD ! I haven't seen it before and am less than a minute in but just the initial image as a ship sent this 46 yrs old Devil Dog into 8 yrs old daydreaming play time. Thank you for sharing this. I hope that you and those you care for are happy, healthy, and safe. Semper Fidelis
Having an emotional connection to the toy just skyrockets the quality of this review video. No cynical remarks or critique. Just pure fun. Great Job dude
This....this was such a sweet. Wholesome adorable video. I love seeing transformer fans from different era like this (part of the og/beast era to date myself). Really happy for ya and happy this came across my feed
I know the feeling. When there was a surge of high-quality remakes of classic Transformers a few years ago, I immediately went and bought Optimus, Bumblebee, Megatron, Soundwave (with all the cassettes) and Shockwave.
I love this so much. I find myself awash with nostalgia. Remembering how that plastic felt. My abuelo bought me this and the jet pack optimus prime from the cyberverse line. I’m so heartbroken that the figures I had in storage during my, “transformers are lame” phase, have gone missing. These reviews that you have made have made my year so much better. Thank you
even though i was born in 96, i was raised on the transformers movie from the 80's and it had some deep core memories to go with it. i also remember being so excited to see live action transformers when the first movie came out in 2007. i was obsessed with the mechanical design of the live action characters and I've always loved the idea of big robots bashing the hell out of each other, so the live action transformers was a dream come true for me. my collection consists of G1 characters from the OG cartoon movie, some assorted figures from the early pre-live action series, and the live action figures, primarily bumblebee. I've been looking around for figures that are cartoon accurate lately and even though those get a little bit on the expensive side, it's nice to be an adult with a full time job and a little bit of disposable income
Hey, I don’t usually leave a lot of comments on videos, but I just had to say that this video really warmed my heart. Seeing someone unbox an old Transformer toy which I once also wanted to get as a kid really brought back a lot of nostalgia. I’m sure this video gave many people some happiness, even for a moment, as they might now be treading through the darker times of life! I just wanted to thank you sir!!! Don’t ever give this up and keep up the good work
as an old geek i say, this is why you work to get things you want, not just what you need cause if you only get the necessities you go insane, revel and enjoy only way to make work worth a damn, and i say this as a 42 year old who collects transformers, not even the ones from my childhood with 3 points of articulation, but all the cool new versions of my childhood favorites that i'd have murdered for as a kid ((beware the feral 80's baby!)) enjoy, and seeing your lil posed squeak of happiness made me smile granted not as much as my fiance who spending her first night at my place and noticing my shelves of crap told me i could go vroom vroom if i want too (was tempted to then but you know err not the mood, still assured me i found the one!) be happy and glad you got your nostalgia moment, of wistful day dreams and childhood imagiknation
Lol I know the feeling except for me it was the GI Joe USS SARATOGA carrier that came out in the early 2000s. I had one as a kid and loved it, but sadly I played it to death. I recently saw one in an antique store of all places complete with the planes and everything. I didn’t buy it, but that didn’t stop a 26yr old from playing with it like He was 6 again! It was so much fun getting to visit the past for a brief moment.
First video; seeing you with your little brother was a bit wholesome. What I hope my son and I turn into with my collection as a kid becoming real as an adult; nice to meet you two. Squeeks lol
Awesome pick and a very nostalgic one! Dotm had such an awesome line of toys. Also, now that you mentioned ebay, has anyone experienced an issue while trying to complete your payment that says “Your payment didn't go through. Please check your payment details or select a different payment option” all in red? It seems to be a bug since I use ebay giftcards and my personal card and still can’t buy anything.
One of my dream figures that I got recently was Nightwatch Optimus Prime from the 07 movie. I wanted that thing when I first saw it and now, 16 years later, that feeling was finally satiated.
I'm super happy for you! I've never got my Gre-Gory Bat toy and now they're going extinct or totally decrepit because it's almost 40 years old and made of rubber. Last time I've looked at it I found a copy for $2,000. I'm still longing for it.
I also really wanted this since I preferred the tiny transformers. I remember crying for days bc I took baby optimus on the trampoline and my sister landed on him and snapped his arm off. Did eventually get a second one
Still have my ark and I’m so glad I got it when they originally released. Target had many nobody was buying so I immediately grabbed it when I had the chance, and cyberverse soundwave from dotm.
I just did this same thing by picking up Animated Grimlock! He’s as good as I was hoping as a little girl, and I’m probably going to sell some of the rest of my collection so that I can get a full animated line!
That’s amazing! And a great idea to get the full prime collection, especially since they are likely the best versions we’re ever gonna get. They absolutely nailed those toys.
I'm only thirteen, I live in Finland and the only REALLY TRANSFORMING Transformers to that I have is a Robots In Disguise 2015 ONE-STEP CHANGER Sideswipe, so I don't have any of the newer Studio Series toys, any of the Rise Of The Beasts Mainline toys, or any third party products, and that's all got to do with the UNFORTUNATE fact that no Transformers toys are sold in Finland, except the ROTB Battle Changers Optimus Prime two-pack, however I'll try to get at least one Studio Series figure one day.
not a collector, not a follower, saw the video and had to watch for this simple fact: I just got my childhood dream toy, the OG Megazord from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. My kids are currently into Transformers and I got that as a joke birthday gift, and my kids can't stop playing with it.
I know the exact feeling of getting a childhood dream toy. I waited 32 years before finally getting a Man-O-War from the Air Raiders toy line. And now I own 4 of it 😃
So glad this show up on my yt page for I completely forgot about this toy. I had it when I was younger tho I lost it when I was moving a few years back. It thought it was the coolest thing ever but the thing I wanted most out of the 3rd movie of Optimus Prime trailer
Duuuuude.....this was me with the deluxe Optimal Optimus a while back. That thing ended up sucking, though. Nothing on it fit together correctly. Still looked awesome in robot mode, though.
I have that & the Energon Driller in a box somewhere. This is a cool toy except I hate how it has no clear plastic for the windshield/canopy. That's the 1 thing that always bugged me.
I would like you to check out some of the original beast wars toys( not the reissues) the spring powered weapons could take out an eye from across the room. Like even the arm plates on optimal optimus would fly like 5 feet and they were heavy
Ahh I thought this was gonna be one of the actual original transformers, not the re-released ones. My gut reaction was "Metroplex" because that was the one I always wanted. A giant Autobot city that turns into a giant Autobot, because why not.
This isn't a rerelease, it's an original lol. Just an original from the first trilogy. I've seen metroplex around eBay for some wild prices though, so good luck to anyone trying to get that haha I sympathize
See now this will be a me thing but when I was 4 this was 2009 ROTF just came out the leaders were coming out and I've always wanted leader class megatron now as I'm now reaching my 20s finally working full time I found him sealed and he looks good with my collection
I'm an older collector so I've been with the franchise since the 80s. Its so great to see such excitement and glee for childhood toys from people that were kids during the later entries. So much of the collector community is stuck on G1 and while that certainly has its charm there is so much more to the franchise.
I certainly do like some of the Bayverse designs. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and The Last Knight's Megatron certainly come to mind but tbh, I think one of the reasons why people like the G1 so much is that the vast cast of characters were not only distinct in design but distinct in character. Beyond the aforementioned Prime, Bumblebee and Megatron, I can't tell the difference between any of the others. They're all just these grey, alien metallic things smashing each other. None of them have any real character beyond the occasionally cringe inducing offensive stereotype.
@@charlestonjew7587 Sure but thats kind of the difference between 2 hour movies and 100ish episodes I suppose. It also doesn't help that Michael Bay is kind of an idiot. Not that G1 is THAT much better in terms of characterisation, they just have more distinct looks. For propper character writing we really need to be more in the beast wars / animated / prime section of the franchise imho. I like g1 for what it is and love some of the toys but honestly its a rough watch as an adult (aside from the movie) where as bw/animated/prime are still very enjoyable.
Actually had this as a kid, and I loved it. Lost all but the ramp somehow, but never gonna forget the memories of annoying the shit outta my parents with those sounds. Maybe I should re-buy it?
Yes you should, and when I went to check out the prices I just looking at the images brought me to tears because I remember having it VIVIDLY and for some reason tossed and I regret it.....
My holy grail from my childhood that I have always wanted was Cybertron ultra class Jetfire. As a kid I could never find him, and apparently it was because I got into the franchise towards the end of the Cybertron line. 😢 I am still looking for one in box for a decent price, but I am glad to see another TF fan get to re-vist his childhood. 😊
There can be something extremely therapeutic about still getting toys as a kid. When I graduated and went into the military, my dad made me burn everything I had owned prior. As an adult and out on my own in a new town, new home, etc later on, just setting aside 25 bucks each month to replace some of those old toys was a wonderful way to reconnect with that lost childhood, and a harmless little hobby to help occupy my time while still building up new social circles and support networks in life. Sometimes the simplest things really can be the best of joys. 😊
What the hell kind of monster was your dad? Did he not know that self storage places exist? Or that he might be depriving you of cherished childhood memories?
@michaelkoukaras7515 Oh he was a piece of work to be sure, broken home and all that, but as to storage places... small rural community, village of only just under 200 people in northern Michigan, back in 2001 before the internet was all that huge... he may very well NOT have known about storage places. Not that he wanted them stored, made it VERY clear he didn't want me bothering him or his new family (had remarried and had another child). So yeah, haven't seen or heard from him since. 20+ years later, can't say I've missed him in the slightest. Lol
The only depressing thing about this video to me was that I didn't realize that Dark of the Moon is 12 years old. As a child of the 80s dark of the moon seems like a brand new movie. So...thanks for making me feel old. LOL. But overall congrats on finally getting a toy that you've always dreamed about.
Lol I thought the same thing. He kept saying that it was all he wanted when he was a kid and I kept thinking this movie was only a couple years old..... but nope, I'm old.
Never had that Ark as well when I was 11, but the closest thing I ever got to playing was through my best friend. That was definitely a once in a lifetime thing for me 😂 Seeing you finally getting that “holy grail” really gave me nostalgia and remember those memories I had with my friend. So happy you finally got it man! I wonder if Hasbro will try making one since they successfully made the G1 ark. 🤔
I’d absolutely kill to see a studio series/Haslab/titan class movie ark. It’s highly unlikely considering how much Hasbro has been ditching the movie toys recently, but I’d pay big dollars for a massive modern version of that
@@papermelon yeah that’s true, Generations figures have been getting the most attention in reveals, and when it comes to the movie stuff it’s like 2-3 at most somehow. Fingers crossed we’d see those ships from the bayverse get made 🤞🏻
something about this video just makes me happy, maybe it was the wholesome clips of you playing with your brother at the end or the whole idea of finally getting that toy you always wanted when you were younger it just hits the feels
love this. Been doing the same thing where I'm going back and getting stuff that i missed when i was s kid. The feeling of opening a mint box is great lmao.
Fortunate to have been old enough to have the disposable income when this was released. Loved it and got the similar models that were released as a tie in to Prime as well. Would love something similar brought back today- Ark and Nemesis would have been even better with features designed for core class, like Metroplex and the earlier titans did.
The amazing thing about these cyberverse movie toys was how well made most of them were. Also I wanna know how these old toys are still in their OG packaging in all these years
I think it’s wild that some people buy these things and never open them, but I’m not complaining because they’re the only reason I get to unbox them mint all these years later 😂
I had lots of fun with this as a kid, especially with how versatile this thing is (a base/ship/medbay/jail). My only complaint is that the mini Optimus with trailer was a bit too big for the set (luckily because of his transformation I was able to shrink him, can’t say the same for megs)
My man I recently have been on a TF binge because of ROTB. I forgot how much I loved Transformers. A few days ago I got Roadbuster and Topspin from DOTM among others. The 11 y/o Filipino boy that didn’t have money to buy them is ecstatic! I love the Dinobots and Wreckers! I completed the G1 Dinobots and All I need now is Leadfoot! I feel this on a personal and spiritual level!
One thing I learned while similarly trying to find these older figures online, was Hasbro hates search key terms. In recent years they have made “Cyberverse” and “Commander class” from THIS toy line way harder to find. Even worse if you’re looking for TF Prime figured because adding “Prime” to any search just pulls up Optimus 😂
Hasbro has like 5 trademarks for shows/toylines/etc and they WILL MILK THEM. Robots in Disguise: Oh, did you mean the tagline for most of the franchise's history, or the 2001 cartoon, or the 2011 larger scale version of the Transformers Prime toyline, or the 2012 comic book, or the 2015 cartoon, or the comic book based on the 2015 cartoon?
My childhood dream toy was an Astrotrain that actually looked like a space shuttle in shuttle mode and a steam engine in train mode. I was beside myself to stumble upon TW-06 and more recently, EX-10. I know they get a bad wrap generally, but for me personally my giddiness matches the giddiness on here. You’re absolutely right, it’s nice to be an adult sometimes
This is awesome, I recently went through all my old transformers about a month ago and literally got this one out and sat and had a little play for 5 mins with all of the old cyberverse toys. Was easily a must have for me back then as well! Love the videos man big smiles every time 👍
I've recently rekindled my love for collecting Marvel and DC stuff. And you are so right. That childlike feeling of amazement you had as a kid is so hard to rekindle. Bringing it back as an adult is such a rare but priceless joy. Well not exactly if you are searching for figures! They get pricey! Great video, subscribed.
@@papermelon I've been meaning to get one or two Transformers figs. But I want one or two huge ones that would scale against my McFarlane DC stuff. Not trying to break the bank and finding something high quality is hard.
I have that set (but with the bonus Sentinel Prime, which is super cool btw!), and it is so fun to play with. I have a few Cyberverse figs, and I like posing them with the Arc set. It's also worth noting that the guns in the front of the ship come off on 5mm ports, so the spring-launching barrel and the non-firing guns can be held by normal-size transformers too. It's such a fun set and it is one of the coolest things to have as a kid. I'm glad you fulfilled your childhood dreams, it's super heartwarming!
Loved your expression at 1:54 I could really gauge that 'childhood innocence' feeling from it. I lack the specifics to even know what one of the my childhood dream toys I never got was called. It had to have been a Unicron Trilogy Unicron toy, I just don't remember what paint deco or even which Unicron Trilogy show it was for, because I grew up with the Bayverse and not the Unicron Trilogy. Nowadays, I'd seek Unicron in the masterpiece aesthetic, so I no longer long for that toy I saw on shelves back then. Still love my legends class ROTF Devastator tho.
I got to buy one of my dream transformers as an adult. I was lucky enough to come across one of the updated versions of Sky Lynx in a shop and I couldn't walk out without it. I probably paid a bit more than it was worth but I didn't care. That thing sat in a place of honor on my shelf for ages
Around 2004 I picked up The Grand Maximus from RID, which was my white whale. It still sits as the crowning piece of my collection even among modern Titans. It's fun to see a different generation go through that moment where they have the power to buy the toys fate denied them.
It's funny you post this as I'm about to buy my childhood dream Transformer, RotF Leader Starscream! I really hope they do something similar to this for the modern day core class line, they are basically my only g1 stuff and I would love to have a more dynamic display with them than compared to my SS!
Oh man I forgot about that leader Starscream! I swear every leader class back from the original trilogy looked 5 feet tall to me, and I could only dream of having one 😂 And I absolutely agree about cyberverse, those were peak mini figures and my whole childhood. But even if they brought the idea back I doubt they’d do it Justice haha.
As someone with a December Birthday as well, I feel for your pain of losing out on some gifts. And I am so glad you got something you’d wanted as a kid. Maybe someday I’ll get one of the things I wanted as a kid.
I know it looks like I misspelled “squeeks”, but I didn’t lol. That’s really how I spelled it back in the day when referring to the little guys, so it’s canon for me now 😂

Transformers: Dark of the Moon came out in 2011. The toys of my childhood came out in 1984. We are not the same.

They need to have a Ss ark that scales with Ss voyager Sentinal
When I was 11 years old the first Transformers film came out.
The animated one, in 1986. So, uh, get off my lawn or something.
Seeing the video title and assuming it's from G1 80's golden age.......*feels older*
I really need the Transformers 2 Black Aracnia and Mega Tron.

I like g1 for what it is and love some of the toys but honestly its a rough watch as an adult (aside from the movie) where as bw/animated/prime are still very enjoyable.
@@sloth210983 Well, there was the 1hr 24min runtime of the *original* Transformers movie...
Beast wars is my G1 XD thats what I grew up on. Though I would have to say prime is prob the best version of transformers outside of comics.
I have zero interest in Transformers (not sure how I got here), but I just wanted to say that I love seeing people so passionate about their interest
Actually had this as a kid, and I loved it. Lost all but the ramp somehow, but never gonna forget the memories of annoying the shit outta my parents with those sounds.
Maybe I should re-buy it?
Yes You should
You totally should
You certainly should, reignite the trauma and PTSD you bestowed upon your parents
Definitely
Yes you should, and when I went to check out the prices I just looking at the images brought me to tears because I remember having it VIVIDLY and for some reason tossed and I regret it.....
Logically the word “Cyberverse” needs to be the official term for the Transformers multiverse
Everyone, listen to this man’s knowledge.
Transformers: Into the Cyberverse. I know, copyright yada yada. But it has a good ring to it.
@@NathanWhitford it does! it really does!
Optimus Prime and the Cyberverse of Madness
Ok shockwave
My holy grail from my childhood that I have always wanted was Cybertron ultra class Jetfire. As a kid I could never find him, and apparently it was because I got into the franchise towards the end of the Cybertron line. 😢 I am still looking for one in box for a decent price, but I am glad to see another TF fan get to re-vist his childhood. 😊
I had that toy! It was every bit as good as you imagine it. Damn I wish I had that back
There can be something extremely therapeutic about still getting toys as a kid. 😊
Genuinely wholesome comment, glad everything’s worked out man! Thanks for sharing
Dang yeah. I’m 26 and it’s STILL my fav movie.. Literally almost half my life ago…
@@esphyxia And you're just a pup. Enjoy your youth.
Honestly, the name “Squeeks” could work as a real minibot name.
This exactly ❤
"The ship.. we came under fire. The pillars! Where are the pillars?"
I had lots of fun with this as a kid, especially with how versatile this thing is (a base/ship/medbay/jail).
My only complaint is that the mini Optimus with trailer was a bit too big for the set (luckily because of his transformation I was able to shrink him, can’t say the same for megs)
This is what core class is missing
My man I recently have been on a TF binge because of ROTB. I forgot how much I loved Transformers. A few days ago I got Roadbuster and Topspin from DOTM among others. The 11 y/o Filipino boy that didn’t have money to buy them is ecstatic! I love the Dinobots and Wreckers! I completed the G1 Dinobots and All I need now is Leadfoot!
I feel this on a personal and spiritual level!
Don't worry man, we still have a bit of our child selves in us. And it's nice to see you and your brother play with each other.
Haha so true. Also trying to search for the original trilogy toys just brings up an onslaught of the new studio series versions 😂😂
You know you can put a “minus” sign in front of the search term, right? You have to search like this: Transformers Prime -Optimus
@@VAULT-TEC_INC. Thank you, that’s really helpful 🙂
@@VAULT-TEC_INC. genuinely solid tip, always forget this exists
Hasbro has like 5 trademarks for shows/toylines/etc and they WILL MILK THEM.
Robots in Disguise: Oh, did you mean the tagline for most of the franchise's history, or the 2001 cartoon, or the 2011 larger scale version of the Transformers Prime toyline, or the 2012 comic book, or the 2015 cartoon, or the comic book based on the 2015 cartoon?
did wheel jack stay in peru
My childhood dream toy was an Astrotrain that actually looked like a space shuttle in shuttle mode and a steam engine in train mode. I was beside myself to stumble upon TW-06 and more recently, EX-10. I know they get a bad wrap generally, but for me personally my giddiness matches the giddiness on here. You’re absolutely right, it’s nice to be an adult sometimes
I want both of those sooooo bad
This is awesome, I recently went through all my old transformers about a month ago and literally got this one out and sat and had a little play for 5 mins with all of the old cyberverse toys. Was easily a must have for me back then as well! Love the videos man big smiles every time 👍
Mine would randomly go off in the closet.... nightmare fuel
Haha there’s a constant battle between my inner child and outer adult when I see some of these eBay prices 😬😬
@@papermelon I've been meaning to get one or two Transformers figs. But I want one or two huge ones that would scale against my McFarlane DC stuff. Not trying to break the bank and finding something high quality is hard.
Super happy for you, dude! Keep up the great work, your content is so chill and super well made!
So nice to say, thanks man!
0:12 make sure to refrigerate the arc
This is the transformers fandom in its purest form. The sheer joy from the experience is abundantly clear.
Loved your expression at 1:54
I could really gauge that 'childhood innocence' feeling from it.
When I was young, I had this toy, and I gave it to a donation.
I FORGET ABOUT THE LITTLE TRANSFORMERS WITH THE SHIP !
Woah !
I got to buy one of my dream transformers as an adult. I was lucky enough to come across one of the updated versions of Sky Lynx in a shop and I couldn't walk out without it. I probably paid a bit more than it was worth but I didn't care. That thing sat in a place of honor on my shelf for ages
I had to stop buying cause transformers were and still are my crack. When you opened the box...I know that feeling. Love the channel.
Around 2004 I picked up The Grand Maximus from RID, which was my white whale. It still sits as the crowning piece of my collection even among modern Titans. It's fun to see a different generation go through that moment where they have the power to buy the toys fate denied them.
Well dang, I know its totally not the focus of the video, but is that a Kershaw Leek pocketknife? If so you have excellent tastes in knives too
It's funny you post this as I'm about to buy my childhood dream Transformer, RotF Leader Starscream! I really hope they do something similar to this for the modern day core class line, they are basically my only g1 stuff and I would love to have a more dynamic display with them than compared to my SS!
Oh man I forgot about that leader Starscream! I swear every leader class back from the original trilogy looked 5 feet tall to me, and I could only dream of having one 😂
And I absolutely agree about cyberverse, those were peak mini figures and my whole childhood.
