    Very good video, Thanks! Funny how they change things as they go. My new Raptor Ranger is just slightly different on what the customizable options are. They actually cut some stuff back... I was able to use your demo to set mine up more the way I like it, which is very cool.

      Thank you! Yeah the Raptor does have a few extras you won't find in the other trims, I'm in the Raptor in a few weeks and definitely have a video planned for that setup. How are you liking the truck so far?

      @@CarsWithSteve So far, I'm loving it. I got out of a '15 Tacoma, which was a great truck for 250K miles, when my son needed a vehicle, so it got re-purposed. The Ranger is just enough bigger in the seat and general cockpit area to make a big comfort difference for me (6'3", 240lbs). I'm just pissed at Ford for requiring us to add a bed reinforcement kit ($450, and not even available right now) to put a cap or anything on the bed. That's a design defect in my book.

      I didn't realize the Raptor needed that reinforcement kit as well, thought it was just other trims. Outside of the bed issue, how are you liking the truck?

      @@CarsWithSteve I'm loving it. I only have about 200 miles so far, but it is by far more comfortable and certainly better performance.

    Thank you Steve for your very clear explanation. Can you help me further? I still do not know what the LM does or means.

      You're welcome! The LIM button is for speed limiter.. It lets you limit the vehicle speed to the max speed limit detected by the traffic sign recognition system. So if the speed sign system sees that the road speed is 40 mph, your vehicle speed is limited to 40 mpg unless you press the accelerator to go faster. Useful if you have a ledfoot

    So the ranger xlt fx4 didn’t have the same guage cluster?

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  Місяць тому +1

      Exactly.. the XL and XLT have a smaller 8" digital that has similar functionality and a slightly different look. I have a shoot scheduled soon with a Ranger XLT so I'll have a video put together on that smaller version

    How many inches is the steering wheel? I cannot seem to find this info anywhere. Is it a universal 15 inch?

    It's a little annoying that there isn't a pause/play button on the steering wheel, only skip forward and skip back. When I'm listening to a podcast while driving, I can't pause from the steering wheel and I don't like using voice activation because it's slow. It's annoying to have to use the big screen, get out of the maps, go into the podcast, and press pause from there. Or pick up my phone and press pause. Seems like there must be a better way. Am I doing something wrong?

      Some sources might let you pause through the infotainment screen but it is unfortunate there's no easy to access pause button on the steering wheel. You could technically press the power button in the volume rocker to turn off the media
