  • This update for the Pennsylvania & Ohio Railroad includes a full tour of the new North Fork Turn Coal branch. Included is everything for full operations except final detail items like weeds and all the final touches that I always leave until after beta testing.
    North Fork Branch has three (3) tipples and a number of passing loops on the mainline due to the heavy traffic on a single track line.
    The town of North Fork ( a company town ) is also fully modelled.
    Included are fully operational signals and road crossing gates as well as many bridges and tunnels along the line,
    This is another in a full series of TRS2019 tutorials covering all aspects of Route development adding signals with more to come including session building, scenery development, track tools, surveyor skills, signaling systems, product reviews, content manager and more . . . . learn all about Trainz TRS2019 here.

      Thanks Craig, It was done under difficult circumstances as I have very poor internet service, took 40 hours to upload the video ! And heaps of distractions with the new home needing my attention.

    Colin The second bridge you showed is what we call a trestle in Alberta Canada. A very good video . Have you thought to put a list of assets you use?

    • @colinstrains5885
      @colinstrains5885  4 роки тому

      Hi Allen, Thanks for the hint on bridge style names, sadly I am unable to always know the individual names applied to structures around the world, but here in Australia a trestle seems to be restricted to wooden structures only. My bad ! On the other suggestion on asset lists, while a great idea, note however the route is some 65 miles (100+ Kilometres) and the number of items used is enormous, I just don't have time to generate a list right now as it is continually changing as N3V update the content manager.

    You REALLY think NV3 fixed their bugs? What all new assorted bugs were created with their patch/fix? Gave up on Trainz long ago and some of it had to do with bugs that NV3 either ignored or fixed, creating a all new bag or garbage

    Now I'm wondering when modern-type grade crossing gates and alarms came into use and when they were in use more or less universally.

    I found if you relay crossings they will work again (for anyone whose having that problem)

    Great video ! I have created a software that allows to control trains with multiple joysticks (mapping joystick events to keyboard key sequences). For my next video I want to show people how to use my software with a steam train on Trainz2019 and the trains in your videos seem great. For me the audio is the most important (image quality a close second) so I was curious which medium sized steam train would you recommend that I buy ?

    • @colinstrains5885
      @colinstrains5885  4 роки тому +1

      Sorry for the slow response. I recommend visit K&L trainz if you want US style steam, he covers most railroads with a variety of size engines. probably consider a ten wheeler, pacific or mikado. Hope that helps.Your work with joysticks is interesting, thanks.

      @@colinstrains5885 Great, I will check out. Thank you !, Yes when I started I never intended to build what I did, I just wanted to relax with a train after a hard week at work with a real tactile feeling of a joystick :)

    I just bought Trainz 2019 and I really appreciate your tutorials. One thing that bothers me though, is that I can't find any content I download from MyTrainz, Download Station. It says asset is downloaded and installed, but still show not downloaded or is found in assets. Weird.

    Hi,we have cancelled our next freemo meet and are looking into using Trainz, multi user. I note you are using JMRI, which is what we use at our meets. When you talk of integrating JMRI I am assuming you do not mean physically, but if you do would be interested in details please?
    And thank you I have enjoyed your vildeos (only got the programme a couple of days ago )

    Hi Colin, long time custom Trainz builder here. I wanted to get another fellow route builder's advice. Over the years I have made the mistake of not backing up my route. So, with the steps of saving the cdp file to your computer or external hard drive, do you have any suggestions when doing this process? The last time I attempted to save my route, assets were missing afterwards. I'm actually concerned about the actual saving process messing up my work. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thank you

    It is not clear to me if this route is available. It seems to be exactly what I want. My focus has been Northeast USA. Is there a link to your site for following developments?

    • @colinstrains5885
      @colinstrains5885  Рік тому

      sorry Dick, that was uploaded over two years ago, for TRS2019. Since then, with the growth into TRS22, it became redundant, and many contents used were updated with newer KUIDS, and I have been busy elsewhere, so have not been able to update it. I am working on new routes, but they have been for my own use and integrate Ship-It train scheduling software so are not well setup for running without it. It generates documentation and switch lists as well as timetables for more realistic operations. I do have a complete CDP file of it which I could send but you would have to chase up to replace obsolete content and other simple "getting it ready" activities. Let me know.

    I’m having some issues with Commands. Like the ones where I’d set an I train to go pickup cars at a location then bring them back. The main issue is I’ve downloaded an instant load command so it’ll load all my intermodal cars automatically. In TrainZ a new era I could easily go check the downloaded command and it would be able to work in game. I can’t seem to find it in TRS2019.. any solution?
