In a thrilling matchup between Cleveland Angels '12 and Misfits, the Angels came out on top with a close 5-4 victory. The game started off strong for the Angels as they scored two runs in the top of the first inning. Shelby drew a walk, followed by key hits from Harper, Paiton, Emilee, and Avery.
However, Misfits quickly responded in the bottom of the first inning with three runs of their own. Both teams showcased their defensive skills as Reagan pitched a crucial strikeout to limit Misfits' scoring opportunities.
The second inning proved to be pivotal for Cleveland Angels '12 as they scored three more runs to take a 5-3 lead. Reagan started things off with a single and Harper's double tied up the score. Emma's double added another run before Paiton's sacrifice brought home another runner.
Misfits fought back in the bottom of the second inning with one run but were unable to close the gap any further thanks to Lillie's impressive pitching performance that included two strikeouts.
Both teams held each other scoreless in both the third and fourth innings. Offensively for Cleveland Angels '12, Harper had an outstanding game going 2-for-3 with one double and one single while Emilee went 1-for-2 with a single and reaching on an error. Emma also contributed with a crucial double.
Defensively, Lillie stood out on the mound with two strikeouts while Reagan added one more strikeout to keep Misfits at bay.
