It's nothing epic, but I love having access to DVSP so close to my house. Great place to explore for a night or two. And it's a great place to swim in summer! Thanks a lot for watching.
Nice. Looks great out for February. Thanks for the sub. We're still going through wet weather here in California. Can't wait until it clears up. I dig the Tarptent designs.
Wow! Just found your channel! So thankful! Recently moved to Texas for work, and have been looking for great places to hike. You’ve got inspired and hopeful! Thank you!
great trip, awesome you got in a little night hike that is always fun... some nice river views , looks like your gear is working all good stuff/ wind not so great but what can you do... thanks for taking us along
Get Vid. I was down there Sunday and Monday to test out some new gear as well. 80+ during the day and mid 50's at night. Was too warm if anything! Get the Cedar Brake Outer Loop trail and that was fun.
Great overnight! Liking the new pack looks Awesome! The water is flowing quite nicely which is very nice to see. Campsite #2 (taking notes here)😂 i’ll have to remember that
The park is so much better when the water is flowing. Especially during the week when no one is out there. Yall should definitely go after it rains some. We are lucky to have a nice place like DVSP so close to us!
We are doing well. Luckily we are on a 2.5 week roadtrip to do some state highpoints and are up in the North East. Haven't had a day over 85 so far. I remembered yalls video from Cuyahoga Valley from a few years back. So we checked that out on the way. We all loved it!
@@CameronHall88 that’s so awesome!! Have fun!! We’re about to head to Yellowstone and the Tetons but we will be mostly tourists. We’re going with non-hiker friends this trip! Take care!
@texashikeaholicsadventures5651 that's awesome. I like hiking and camping. But I also enjoy the tourist life on some trips. Hope yall have a great time and enjoy some cooler weather!
The pack is working out great so far. Taking it on a slightly longer trip this week. Should work just fine. Campsite 2 has a good location. I love the creek. But we really like 7 a lot also.
@Ultralight Outdoors I'll have to try 7 next time. Good to hear about the pack! I plan on going on a few trips this year. Hopefully, when Palo Pinto Mountains state park opens, they'll have primitive sites and backpacking.
It is just because it is so close. It's easy for me to be able to run over to within 30 minutes when I don't have much time. But I do enjoy the trails and creeks as well. I enjoyed Lost Maples!
@@CameronHall88 Lost Maples is fairly close to me so I do make it a go to park and in the summer it doesn't have the crowds like some of the parks have. Happy Hiking
@@BigCountryOutdoors325 I would like to see dinosaur Valley State Park myself. Definitely on my list. I would also like to see Palo Duro and Caprock Canyons. Happy Hiking.
@@BigCountryOutdoors325 Abilene is definitely isolated in TX! We were invited out to Abilene SP in June. I've always wanted to visit, so we might end up out there.
I always enjoy your southern wilderness trips. The desert has a kind of beauty and mystic that not everyone can see.
I love going out to Dinosaur Valley!
Really nice park to have so close. Can't wait for it to warm up a bit so we can swim in the river.
Thank you for sharing your hiking 🥾 adventure. I live 20 minutes away from there and go very often!!
I live fairly close. But you're even closer. We're lucky to have such a nice place to run around so close.
What a great hiking and camping adventure! Dinosaur Valley looks incredible. Fantastic video!

Nice overnighter 👍👌
Thanks Rudi. Would have loved to be out there a little longer but I was happy to squeeze this quick trip in.
Thanks for bringing us along.
Thanks a lot for watching!
Very nice, late in late out and why not - short hike out :). Nice new logo. Sweet park and getaway.
Thanks Liz. I had planned on more miles in the morning but I will say, it was really nice staying warm under the quilt.

I love Tarptent. I have been a loyal customer for 15 years or so. Henry and his team make quality products.

Awesome! Thanks for stopping by. I have several places through the years on my channel. And I'm hoping to add some new Texas places this year.
Awesome video!!!
Thanks a ton for watching!
Awesome video, very interesting
Thanks Dave. I appreciate you watching.
I was just at Dinosaur Valley last week. I was really impressed with the trails out there.
I feel fortunate having that park so close. It's a great place to spend the day swimming during the summer and great to get on trail year-round.

This has been a warm March so far. What site did you end up staying at?
Love your gear choices.
I like the knor food too
That creek area was beautiful
I'm on another trip right now and brought Knor again. Pretty great meal considering ease of prep, cost, and taste. Thanks for watching, Jason Sir!
@@CameronHall88 sometimes I bring some Parmesan cheese and add it to the pasta meals. Yummy.

#2 only if it's warm and the water is flowing. Our favorite overall is #7. There are enough trails at DVSP that you could do two nights there.
Nice video! Can’t believe how the creeks were flowing. We were there a year or so ago and there was no water. Inspired us to get back out there soon!

I’ve got a 4 day one planned for next week with rain forecasted for 3 of those. It ought to be interesting.😄
Oh awesome. Hopefully it doesn't rain that much!
Great content as always. You're right, Campsite #2, when the water is flowing, is the best.
