As someone who lived in Iowa for a few years, the skies there can be pretty incredible. It's so flat that the horizon is just very low and you really feel like there's a huge dome of sky above you.
For the first time, I actually got that riddle right away and was almost yelling at Billy & Dom through my phone like many of us do towards game show contestants on tv. Haha. Johnny’s hint was way too charitable. But regardless, I love listening to Merry & Pippin’s real-life minds at work. Dom was on the trail and threw himself off but I know they would’ve got it eventually. Hoping there is still some Friendship Onion merch available in late 2024.
Don't mind me, just sitting in my house all by myself and spitting out the water that I unfortunately tried swallowing right before the waitress quit her job at the diner. Loving the incorporation of improv scenes in this episode. Thanks for the laughs, Billy and Dom.
Dominic is in my favorite show of all time, LOST, and Billy is in my favorite movie of all time, Master and Commander. And both are in one of my favorite trilogies of all time as well. Love this show!
The over-the-top theatrical film-noire American accent that's happening near 33:00 sounds as though Johnny Knoxville from Jackass and Homer Simpson somehow had a child, and that child was born and raised in The Bronx NYC.
I love how much these guys are getting into Giardiniera. Growing up in Chicago we used to put it in mashed potatoes for an after school snack. It really does go well in a lot of different things.
BOTH!! of you help me start my day ❤ truly, it is such a friendship so undeniable (by its sheer effortless chemistry and respect) that when I listin I feel like a friend amongst friends. Thank you for that feeling. ( not necessarily a comment for this video but a comment because it's time to make one) so much love, Vee ❤🤙
To answer the narrator question: Tom Waits. I can only imagine how silly it would be to have my elementary art teacher life voiced over as a film noir. In other news, I’ve always LOVED untangling things, as well. It’s like a labyrinth, or closed-set bit of problem solving… there’s a guaranteed solution (providing you’re patient enough to earn it). As a fiber artist, my preference is untangling yarn. Back in the day I also was the cassette rescue squad.
Special day, special person and special celebration. May all your dreams and desires come true in this coming year. Happy birthday, Billy! I love your work and I enjoy your podcast and Dom's. You two have a lot of support from me. This is from a 14 years old girl, from Romania.
Around 7:00-8:00 you talk about the difficulty of taking the time to create your art (poetry/music)… totally this. I’ve started thinking of it as Giving Myself Permission to compose.
Montana is big sky country; Iowa has the Field of Dreams baseball field where they recently held an actual baseball game between the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees...perfect considering the film "Field of Dreams" featured baseball player Shoeless Joe Jackson, who was a White Sox player. Anyway, I digress. Vinyl is best, CDs are great and can give that mixed tape deal and streaming is great for mobility and even access but the feel just isn't the same. It's like choosing to read via Kindle vs. a real book. While the former is is lovely for any number of reasons, the latter has a romanticism about it. I know people who prefer a printed newspaper because you can feel something real, it has a smell from the pages that has an allure to it. There is just something nice about it. Anywho...as usual...fabulous episode! It was a bit of a rough day at work and you always brighten and enlighten my days. :) Just keep being you all!
Dom! I'm with you on untangling things! There is a certain peacefulness that happens when everything is sorted out the right way. It's a good thing I'm good at it since I love to crochet and have to untangle yarn fairly frequently.
Another brilliant podcast this week..this is the best podcast ever acually. The Rizzo Song is not about her wanting to do something in life etc its about her not caring about what she does with boys to keep up a good girl apperence ..that the worst thing she could do is not to be a bad girl but is show her vunarability /weakness and to cry infront of a boy and showing that she cares about him or that he hurt her (in this case chenichi).
I love this show. I'll listen to it in the car on the way to work, in the kitchen while cooking dinner, while I'm cleaning. These two make me laugh I look forward to it every week. So funny and entertaining.
@10:00 Dom, I have the same type of dream but its getting to the airport... I will even plan it out like "Well, my flight is in 5 hours, I better leave early just in case, since it takes an hour to get there, and something always happens" and without fail, I either miss the flight completely, or are at the airport and they say I am too late.
As for the riddle question: If you're having sounds playing outside, you don't have silence. And thus what you do not have can not disappear. Only if you have silence can you remove it by speaking.
I'm Minnesotan, and Joe is exactly correct. I even commented that Minnesotans are probably most likely US residents to say "Yes" no matter what. Minnesota Nice is very common, especially in suburban areas.
Sometimes I can fly, like Superman, in my dreams. I'll be running, then notice how easy it feels, and how much huge distance I'm getting between footfalls, and think it's a bit odd, but then reply to myself that it's just because I can fly 'when I'm here.' This may or may not alert me to the fact that I'm dreaming, and can alter the reality as I see fit.
I had this same exact experience! It was dream pattern I held for about 15 years straight, and then one night I pushed the limits and I realized I needed to stop running/flying away from everything and then I haven't had those dreams since!
I absolutely love that your producer reinforced the pronunciation of farfalle the way you were doing it. It's far fall ah. It means butterfly in French. Much more entertaining for me yelling the correct pronunciation back at the screen though. 😂
I heard about Friendship Onion from Billy's Q&A at Awesome Con this month. So far, I am enjoying going through old episodes up to this point. I look forward to more from Dom and Billy. P.S. I hope Dom considers coming to Awesome Con next year, and he can bring Billy along with him if he wants.
YES!!!! Fry Sauce! No, I don't know anyone who put it on pizza... but guess you could. Easy to make when I am in a state that doesn't have it. :) Rocky Mountain- smoke in the summer fires from around the west and inversions in the winter time when you have the air turned to soup because it's really smoggy! Glad you liked the sauce! :) Love watching/listening to this. :) always makes me laugh. Thank you!
I’ve been watching this show so much, I’ve started hearing Billy’s voice narrating my life in my head
Okay I am REALLY glad you said this because I thought it was just me... XD
Something like that happened to me today, I heard a few sentences in my head with his Scottish accent lol
You gotta watch some more til you hear them both
I would pay for this. I wouldn't mind him narrating my life lol
This has been happening to me but I’m bad at imitating the accent in my head 😅
I love how they’re casually in each other’s dreams.
Makes perfect sense knowing them
Who could possibly downvote the Friendship Onion? Their love for each other fills my heart. With the world we live in, we need so much more love.
Surprised its not higher, nothing against them but bots be crazy sometimes especially , this ratio is actually really good for them currently
Probably someone from Utah.
The 9 and sauron
I lose it every time Billy brings up the condensed milk fantasy with Dom's dad lol
It's Friendship Onion Tuesday! Nice to have this high point early in the week!
Its a great start to the week. In fact it brings joy to my whole week!
I wish more people I know watched/listened so I had someone to talk to about it.
The high point is on the top of Dom's hair.
You guys have made Tuesday my new favorite day of the week!
me too
I would buy a Dominic Monaghan poetry book in a heartbeat.
oh totally.
love how Dom has a different fire outfit every week and I haven't yet seen billy in a different outfit
Merry was a bit of a dandy. Life imitates life.
So that's how he got on the island on Lost, he died in plane crash in a dream.
Well that was one in probably a thousand islands.
Your “Cindy in the Diner” story… 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Ok, if Dom's writtin' poetry and Bils is writtin' melodies then there needs to be some more colabs happenin'. Yes?
Yessss if they wrote songsss
where is the album
When I say I howled with laughter at the fact they both turned into angry builders in a split second 😆
Not me dancing to the intro like I’m in a rave!😂
Dom liking fun pasta shapes is so on brand for him, and I cannot explain why
Sooooo when we getting Viggo (Veegoo) on to do a poetry slam with these two gentlemen?
Viggo*

Dom's mysterious drifter in the diner character sounds like Homer Simpson 😂😂

Petition for shoes off, cozy vibes from last week to be permanent! Haha
I was going to comment this haha the cozy vibes last week were it
Dom sitting criss cross applesauce for the entirety of last weeks episode made my day haha
very soft and sweet and babygirl, especially from Dom🥰

Billy saying "Second Breakfast" got me PUMPED!
Don't mind me, just sitting in my house all by myself and spitting out the water that I unfortunately tried swallowing right before the waitress quit her job at the diner. Loving the incorporation of improv scenes in this episode. Thanks for the laughs, Billy and Dom.
I'd love it if Billy would narrate by life story! Seriously, though, he should do books on tape-love his voice!
Dominic is in my favorite show of all time, LOST, and Billy is in my favorite movie of all time, Master and Commander. And both are in one of my favorite trilogies of all time as well. Love this show!

22:02 Dom getting sauce and chip grease all over that mouse is sending me mad
Rizzo sings 'There are worse things I could do' and it has been my song from the first time I heard it when the movie released.
Awwwwe yeah, let’s get it gents!! Glad to have you back!
This is awesome. I Can’t believe you watch this too rob. I watch your Metroid videos all the time
"The Wizard of Oz needs Zombies" -Billy. Lol. I think he might be on to something. Lol
Fry sauce! As someone born and raised in Utah it's the best thing we've contributed to the world
I love how much these guys are getting into Giardiniera. Growing up in Chicago we used to put it in mashed potatoes for an after school snack. It really does go well in a lot of different things.
"Delisious!
-Delisious?
-DELISIOUS"
hahaha please never stop making these❤️
I was looking at that shirt: stay focused. And was going, hang on i only had 4 beers i cant be drunk XD
I took a long break from podcasts but you've rekindled my love for them. Also have me rethinking the way I pronounce licorice. Cheers! -Gary from CT
The workman improv that you guys do at the end is pure gold! I just had to re-watch an episode just to find it 😆
YES 🙌 untanglers unite! I always volunteer to untangle anything, jewelry/cords/shoe laces/etc

Always brightens my Tuesday- love you two 😊
As someone from Utah, this was a fun surprise! Haha. All my friends from other places never know what I’m talking about if I say fry sauce. 🤣
Thanks, Dominic! Thanks, Billy! 🧅
🌰🧅❤ so ready for this!

I love how Merry was a writer after the War of the Ring; and also Dom is a writer!
I love this podcast soo much :) free of drama, just pure delight
Dom, you and I feel the same about the old original vinyls. I commandeered my parents collection as well!
Special day, special person and special celebration. May all your dreams and desires come true in this coming year. Happy birthday, Billy! I love your work and I enjoy your podcast and Dom's. You two have a lot of support from me.

Fun fact: Hopelessly Devoted was shoehorned in after the movie was finished to give her a big solo and try for an award.
Grand pair of lads. Great to have mates for life. Look forward to seeing them every week.
“Scores on the doors”….I absolutely love the Vic & Bob Shooting Stars reference!… I loved that show too :)
I was one of the people who asked for them to try fry sauce!! I will wear that as a badge of honor

Best podcast ever!
The text on Dom's shirt had me tripping out for a solid five minutes

Maybe it’s already been said. But Dom’s kicks are always IT! 🔥 🔥🔥
Funnily enough that was the first thing I noticed this episode!
You can take Dom off the Island but from the state of those dreams, you clearly can't take the Island away from Dom lol
👍👍👍fantastic guys!!!! 👍👍👍
Worst day of the week Wednesday cuz it's 6 days till another episode of these delightful episodes
So funny, I am now singing the whole Grease musical in my head.
I would love to have Neil Gaiman narrate my life. What a fantastical story that would be.
Dom, I love your shirt. And the podcast. I just started listening last week and have been listening and watching the earlier episodes.
53:46 local Manny stories from Dom are always nice to hear. Wonder if he misses home.
Trust the Hobbits to say WorcesterSHIRE lolol!!!
lmao ikr?
The riddle had me thinking of 'time' as it works the same way, keep up the good content lads!
I'd heard the riddle before, but worded differently: "No sooner spoken, than broken."
Doms shirt is tripping me out! Love it tho
I love this show. I'll listen to it in the car on the way to work, in the kitchen while cooking dinner, while I'm cleaning. These two make me laugh I look forward to it every week. So funny and entertaining.
Dom, hearing you jump effortlessly into that diner, wise-guy skit was soooo Robin Williams! You have great comedic chops my friend! 😂
I relate to Dom in every way shape and form down to the plane crash dreams. I would love to meet him on day.
I want to hear the song about the fridge light not working 🤣
Billy - Utah is right next to Nevada and above Arizona!
A very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Billy!!!! Hope your birthday weekend is one of special magnificence! :) Cheers!!! xoxo -MG :)
Just happy to be here.😌💛
@10:00 Dom, I have the same type of dream but its getting to the airport... Dom likes Wheel pasta? A man of class.
The banter on Eat the World this episode has me rolling, hilarious riffing you weirdos
I think it could be fun to have Billy and Dom read short stories I like the long conversations
I fully want Billy's songs about the dog, and why the fridge light doesn't work, to happen in my ear holes.
I absolutely love this podcast! So glad I found it! These two are so hilarious!
I'm watching while washing the dishes and skip the adds with the tip of my nose. Just thought I let you know
Ahhh, best time of the week!
As for the riddle question:
If you're having sounds playing outside, you don't have silence. And thus what you do not have can not disappear. Only if you have silence can you remove it by speaking.
French fries and tarter sauce. Enjoyed in truck stops all over wisconsin
I'm Minnesotan, and Joe is exactly correct. I even commented that Minnesotans are probably most likely US residents to say "Yes" no matter what. Minnesota Nice is very common, especially in suburban areas.
Dom that 'Stay Focused' shirt is hurting my eyes hahaha, I love it
Listening to this ion my second day back at work after a month off. Love it!
This show is growing on me. Needs more homies hanging out chilling and snacking.
I like the riddles.
HEYYYY I'm from Utah and it made me so happy to hear so much about it while "Billy and Tom eat the World"
Just discovered this channel. Am I dreaming? Lol.

Why i do i love the intro song??
We are two loving it 😍
🕺🎵harmonize with me 🎵🕺
Can anyone write the entire lyric please? Thank you very much.
@@andreatcheichvili660 the song is Right Way Rub
Yes... but it's a jazz without lyrics. I think the lyric was created by Dom and Billy for the podcast.
