So the primers are martians from mars in the future and the monsters used by the primers are from earth in the future well that Explains a lot actually
Thanks for watching! This lore was such an important part of EDF6, so I'm really hoping they do a western release soon so more people can get the whole experience.
A crazy theory I heard is that the previous EDF games like 2017/EDF 3 and 2025/EDF 4 are previous timelines that the Ravagers/Primers have failed in their invasions that they're constantly time travelling to change, with EDF 5 and 6 being the current timeline(s)
Thanks for watching! That is a plausible theory, considering that we do know that there are timelines that Storm One and the Professor do not have memories of (DLC 1). However, my personal canon is that the Ravagers and the Primers are completely different entities do to the fact that they have different names, even though they kept the names of the monsters consistent in all of the timelines.
Now I'm kinda hoping we get an EDF animated short or some other media further diving into the story of EDF as a whole and its struggle against the alien. This was great explanation, now I'm so hyped to get my hands on EDF 6!!!
Thanks for watching! One thing I do want to see is some sort of media is the "war" they were talking about when introducing the Grim Reapers. Excited for the global release so I could play some multiplayer!
Asking you a crazy question i asked a few others already. But what do you think about those big monsters Archelus and Erginus in both EDF 5 and 6 at least where i looked they are treated as this special threat and are essentially one monster each. Even on 6 when they go back in time and kill Erginus early with the barga they talk about being this big achievement. So what do you think or know is the explanation for later on a bunch of them showing up in that final battle whatever on the open field ? And even on that monster banquet mission. Do they explain how there are a bunch of them now all of the sudden ?
Thanks for watching! I think the whole thing with them being "special" are just because humanity has only seen one at a time until a certain point and have a hard time dealing with them with the weapons they have. In reality though, to the Primers the big monsters most likely are just units that are powerful but limited in number, so they want to use them sparingly. So when the tide of the war doesn't seem to be in their favor, they start hauling in a lot of them at once in desperation. The only truly special monster is the Glaucus, since it is the only one that was not created by the Primers.
Something happened in the far future where the Primals couldn't breed quickly when they got sent into the past. Was pollution significantly worse (than in their time) when humans were still around as they got sent back or was it that the future had so little pollution they stopped evolving to break down pollutants and didn't need to breed quickly since there was no outside pressure? First world problems.
Thanks for watching! I don't know if the Primals started breeding slower in pollution, since the Primal betas still breed at a very fast pace. For the other Primal species, however, I think the case was that it was hard in general to find an environment where they would start breeding at all, which is why they switched to using the normal species in the later timelines.
I have a question. What type of time travel are we dealing with here? Is it the kind where soon after the time travel occurs, the present is changed? The missions after the ring appears in the first truly good future line seems to imply this but I am unsure. Also what are the ??? quest in terms of the story, are they events that the game had not previously covered, time travel shenanigans, or, at least for the mission where you destroy the fleet, the Primers happening to travel to the past when and where Storm one was already present without having to time travel?
Thanks for watching! I'm pretty sure that it is the type that changes the present right after the time travel occurs, but the only one who could actually perceive the change is Storm One, since the Professor only seems to remember the history after the time change. The ??? quests are very confusing, since the game doesn't really mention how they fit into the story. One fact to note though is that M137 and M144 are actually the same exact day, so they might actually be different timelines, with M137 being the timeline where we don't destroy the fleet ad M144 being the timeline where we do destroy the fleet.
@@akatsukihachiryu5590 thanks, it’s a shame that the game does not explain what the ??? missions are exactly. Also, the video was great for explaining everything else, especially as I am waiting for the western release.
why does the nameless's head look so much bigger and attatched to a flying centeped robot? Did they succeed in rescuing him or is that a different character?
Thank you for watching! The nameless was "revived" in a sense, since he never dies in the other timelines. As for the reason he is attached to the front of the ship, maybe his powers were needed in order for the ship to function (since the game doesn't really mention why he's there at all)

Plot hole : The primer is kinda dumb , instead of trying to reset time and time again to fight EDF , they should have gone back way way way in time , like preventing dinosaur extinction so prehistory mammal wouldn't have a chance to evolve into human .
Thanks for watching! My theory is that after the humans found the crashed ship, they were locked out of going further in the past, so they had to do what they can in that limited time period. Or changing things too far back would cause a bigger time paradox, which the Primers would want to avoid.
I don't think it's a plot hole imo cuz changing things way further back might exponentially escalate any time changes so it might end up getting worse for them
I think the professor explains this as he specifically ask why they do not attack before the EDF formed. I do believe the general explanation was to prevent a paradox and ensure that their species will come into existence.
maybe like the previus comment said, if they go back further to the past befeore human has made contact with them then it will create a time paradox, either they just cant go further back or even if they could , they cant change anything or like in the recent english subtitle video of edf 6 i just watch, time will choose 1 of 2 , human or primer and erase the other. Since the primer exist far later on, they would be erased
