On March 8th, 2000, the American rock band Stone Temple Pilots' special aired on VH1 Storytellers. The special featured many of the bands hits up to that point done acoustically, as well as the band answering questions between songs. The concert is notable because it features the only known pro-shot version of the band's song "Atlanta", which has not been played live by the band since early 2002. While most of the show was broadcast on VH1, much like the band's Rolling Rock Show, several songs are missing that have ever surfaced online or elsewhere. Scott talks about his recent well-publicised legal and substance problems, as well as painful relationship situations, which included an abortion.
Missing Songs
The songs "Down", "Creep", and "Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart" were performed at this show but were not included in the broadcast version shown on VH1. They have never surfaced online or elsewhere. It is also noteworthy that only the final chorus to the opening song, "Big Empty" was broadcast. The rest of the song has never surfaced.
The full setlist for the show is as follows:
Big Empty
Creep
Interstate Love Song
Sour Girl
Atlanta
Kitchenware & Candybars
Plush
Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart
Down
Vasoline
Sex Type Thing
Recovery
On June 2nd, 2018, UA-cam user BelowEmpty uploaded a nearly two-hour video of the band's performance including outtakes, Q&A and the songs that didn't make it aired.
This is one of the most requested videos to make a remaster edition. We take the only available at this time original broadcast in mpeg format 320x240i 24fps and worked from zero to get this 1280x720p 60fps edition with audio correction and apply a little true motion. So, you simply ENJOY and SHARE this video. Have a nice weekend.

What an amazing voice and poetic lyrics Scott had. So glad I got to grow up hearing both of them and having them shape me. Purple is one of the best albums I've ever heard and it still sticks with me until this day. Kitchenware and Candy bars grips me now at 44 as much as it did when I was 15.
They sound amazingly pristine.
Specially Scott’s voice during kitchenware and candy bars 👏
STP and Scott Weiland....we miss you🥲
Kitchenware and Candybars is in my top 5. Damn, what a banger.
Can you imagine being a part of this as a member in the audience!? Once in a lifetime dream come true. How special is this!?
I was there! One of my best concert memories. My brother won a pair of tickets to the taping, was surreal to be in that kind of intimate setting. Of all the shows I've ever seen, Scott has been involved in some of the best and some of the worst but that's a story for a different time. I also remember the guys from Fuel were sitting behind us. We also got into their show at Irving Plaza a month later which was a kickass sweaty rock show in a much smaller venue than they usually played and a nice balance to the beauty of this show.
@@totalsellout822 that’s fantastic!! Lucky you!!
This is one of the shows where Scott is sober and singing so beautifully. It's a shame for me that Down and Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart were not played, but anything we can get that's of this quality is much appreciated. Cheers. 🙂
Same!! Down is my favorite Stp song. So underrated. There were not enough songs played imo.
Scott at his absolute best is unreal. Greatest frontman of all time
Word!!
Stp was the best band of the 90s. Also Soundgarden
Hands down, the man is beautiful, talented, and he uses his voice yo express his emotions. Greatest front man of all time. R.I.P Scott Weiland. Truly missed.
Our favorite band ever , we miss these guys so much too
Incredible performance capturing the timeless magic of this band.
Scott 🕊️
God damn it.
God I love Scott in this. ❤❤❤
I love when he uses that very low voice in Sex Type Thing, he also did it in the Spring Break Rocks 1997 show
Thank you so much 🎼😎🇪🇨💪🔥
Great editing in this. I’ve watched the entire uncut version which is awesome too. I wish you had left the part where Scott proudly tells the audience he’s 8 months clean and sober on that very day. A lot of people don’t realize he did fight and he did try. A out of people don’t understand addiction. A lot of people are too quick to judge. RIP Scott. Thank you STP for a lifetime of music and memories.
That's right. Those same judgemental people are just as addicted to their antidepressants and anxiety meds. They can't quit them cold turkey without getting deathly ill either. What a scam it all is
@@Dee-1969left my meds on the sink again!!!
My youth
Scott was not sober or clean at this time, just straight and living it !!!
Scott was so pretty! He had a beautiful, angelic face and a sexy body...in addition to his talent. He had such a great vocal range & he could sing any song, nearly duplicating voices from Jim Morrison ("Break on Through") to Bing Crosby's Christmas songs! STP has a deep, massive catalogue with so many underrated songs. "Down" is my favorite. They kick some ass playing that hard rocking song... yet it is a hidden gem to many! God I miss Scott and STP ❤ The DeLeo brothers are very talented and very seriously underrated guitarists...I wish they continued playing kick ass music but independently & not under the STP name.
There is no STP without Scott (fuck- ing) Richard Weiland. Period.
Amazing 🤩! One of my favourite performances by STP! Legendary group of musicians ❤
I've been waiting forever to watch and listen to this with good quality
Love this😎
Looks a lot better than your previous uploads!!! Beautiful show
Sour girl has a real new wave feel, like I can imagine The Police or Duran Duran signing it
Interestingly, Scott said he was a Duran Duran fan growing up He said the band influenced him.
Thank you so much for this amazing work you did!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Gracias, Cesar!!! 🔥❤️🇵🇪
🙌🔥
this wouldve never happened if trump was still in office
????
That is a stupid comment. Trump would not suppress them. He is way more hip than trader Joe Biden. Do you think Biden would be in attendance in his Depends?
Vote Trump 2024!!!! I bet he wins. Are you afraid? You sound like a troll. LOL.
???? What a profoundly stupid comment. Thanks for sharing!!
NOT.
The Sound Rocks just as much as them
Thank you ,Keep them Coming .STP Rocks
More to come!
