I can't explain how happy I am to find a video like this with such amazing audio! Most of these vids sound like they were recorded on a submarine with the first mic ever made. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Note he installed the muffler clamp on the outboard side of the peg mount. If you choose to secure the hardware and muffler clamp to the inboard side - you may have clearance issues with the rear wheel axle bolt. Install the Yosh clamp as per this video or take your chances gouging that beautiful carbon finish - Great video by the way, and great commentary and sound quality! Keep it up!
I installed an aftermarket muffler with the clamp behind the mount. It looks cleaner and didn't pose a problem. The stock muffler is also mounted behind the peg.
On my 2016 CB500F (same engine/exhaust from the factory as yours), I find it really hard to hear the engine over wind noise in my helmet when going over 45 mph. In your opinion, is the Yoshimura R77 louder than the stock exhaust was? I'm sure it sounds amazing, and that's great, but I'm looking for an overall loudness increase. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the CBR500 videos! I went down and scraped my exhaust badly. I was thinking about replacing it with the Yoshi' or Coffman. Do you think that it's better that I just paint the black part over or just buy an after market exhaust? Does the sound difference warrant the cost?
What made you pick this particular muffler? it seems to be the one I see the most commonly being used as a replacement. I personally don't love the carbon fiber look on it. I know carbon fiber/carbon fiber pattern is pretty on trend right now. I usually like it myself, but not on this muffler for some reason. Thanks for the video. It does sound better. Was there some backfiring in there?
I liked the looks of the muffler and it is from a brand I know and trust. Plus it is high quality and hand made in the USA. You can't beat that combination. There was a backfire. I like that sound actually but it does not happen very often.
Awesome, thank you for the information. I don't know anything about aftermarket modifications, but I do know I don't love the stock muffler that comes with the CBR500R. It is one of the changes I will make first. I don't know anything about any of the manufacturers, so I appreciate the information.
I hear people claiming that the yoshimura usa is a company that copies yoshimura with lower quality finish on their products. Do you believe this to be true or do you think this is bogus?
I have a honda cbr 500r from 2017. Just bought an yoshimura exhaust. Only to discover it wont fit.. can anybody help me find a linkpipe that fits? Cant find them on the internet
Hey nice vid. I have a Coffmans exhaust on my 16 CBR500R. And at and above about 6000 rpm it screams and sends quite a bit of extra vibration through the bike. Do you have much issue with excessive vibration with this exhaust?
I was searching for a r77 but before the purchase there was different options of the r77, im afraid there is different sizes on the pipes dimension... Maybe a mechanic can fix ur problem
Josh that’s false information. A study done in California showed that loud exhausts actually startle motorists and cause them to behave erratically. Loud bikes does not equate to more safety. It does sound cool though
A "study" done in California eh. Link me to the study please. Either way I know from experience they are wrong. You want your bike to be noticed. You may be talking extremely loud exhausts, which I'm not referring too.
Josh this was based on a discussion I had last week with a CMSP instructor for California. She said there was a study, and given that she’s a professional I’m going to go ahead and take her word for it. But, you can believe what you like.

Listen with earbuds or some nice headphones to get that low db. Thanks for taking the time to make this. Audio sounded so nice in your booth as well.

Thanks for the link! Best price I have found so far!
Fantastic sound 👍👍
I have just installed a black widow 200mm on my bike and it sounds mean, compared to the tame stock exhaust
Ah~ That's how you replace an exhaust. So easy and quick. Thanks for your video. :D

Ivan P I would not want to go back to the original. It really improves the look of the bike and sounds amazing.
Ahhh! I may have to pull the trigger and buy one soon! By the way, I would love to see a video of frame sliders installation if you get some.
Ivan P I will look into frame sliders. It was not on my list but I may do that.
Ivan P coffman all the way
Great video
Did you really need a professional sound booth to narrate exhaust in station video? 😂😂😂
lmaoo i was thinking that too lm, WITH a camera just to record a video of himself talking
Is that the sport series or the race series of the Yoshi R77 ??

Call Yoshi, they are very helpful.
Will the change of exhaust affect the bike mileage?
Does this exhaust work with the 2013 model?
it's such a shame that this exhaust is not allowed in my country
I need help installing the stock.
in Japanese named:吉村管。
Nice vid!!
Hi there, great video! What bike stand is that you are using in the video? Thanks!
Seth Miltimore WheelDock, great stand. Here is a video I did on it. ua-cam.com/video/YYEplJxSJ10/v-deo.html
chasiu75 you are awesome thank you
Tiene el db killer colocado o escape libre ???
im a new owner, is the exhaust like compatible with a 2014? sorry if dumb question
Is this the signature or the steet? For some reason in the internet I have read that the cbr500r Abs 2017 can't take the steet slip on...is this true?
This is the Street. I also have ABS and works fine with it. No interference.
chasiu75 nice tnx man ride safe!! :D
P.S. The street has a "silencer" that comes off and the sound is louder right?
Is it loud or quiet????? I cant tell
Very helpful thanks!
why so many dislikes

I know this comment is a year old but on my 13 cb500f it vibrates a lot on stock exhaust at about 7k
is it me or do they sound the same ? Unreal !!
It's just you
why is it sounds like single cylinder engine on both exhaust
Sounds better than the scorpion
All that and you barely rev it and don't do a drive by?
Deadshotchef thank you for saying that. Like wtf. No drive by. Didn’t go over 2k rpm
Will this fit on a CBR300R?
Yo le instalé un akrapovic made in china , tengo un vídeo en mí canal de algunas modificaciones con detalles
Any idea why my r77 doesn’t fit my Cb500f
I was searching for a r77 but before the purchase there was different options of the r77, im afraid there is different sizes on the pipes dimension... Maybe a mechanic can fix ur problem

Kittipat Natinantapong ฝั่งตะวันออกสหรัฐอเมริกา
MUCH MUCH MUCH better :D
Sounds no different if not worse
Hit the throttle ffs 🤦♂️
ASMR
sounds like a stock r3.
Cbr 500 is not the best bike for sound lover.
I came to listen to the bike not to here you talking
Very dangerous riding with an exhaust that quiet. The coffman seems to be the best loudest exhaust for the 500 at the moment.
Josh that’s false information. A study done in California showed that loud exhausts actually startle motorists and cause them to behave erratically. Loud bikes does not equate to more safety. It does sound cool though
