The TST website listed these flush signals as being compatible with my 2023 CBR500R ABS; I ordered the signals, harness adapters, and the running mate which all just delivered today. I've been having trouble installing them and -after reading through the comments on this video- it seems TST are aware how difficult/potentially impossible it is to mount these on the newer models of the 500R. Though I take responsibility for not properly researching the fitment for my bike, I do think they need to update their website to no longer list these as compatible with the 2022+ CBR500R.
It adds a whole lot to my bike looks but it is a REAL PAIN to install it ! Short cable is one downside Other issue is the screw hole has no threads which makes it harder to fasten. I believe TST should know we are not all professionals and consider improving towards ease of usage ! Also you need to tell what sort of tools are needed (e.g. screw drivers with magnetic heads) This makes the tutorials way better.
The screw boss has no threads on purpose. There is no thread alignment to be done during installation. The plastite screw cuts its own threads however you put it in, and the friction of plastite/plastic threads keep the screws from backing out from vibration. We have made other light systems that had mechanical threads and this method of fastening is far superior in regards to longevity and ease of installation. All the recommended tools are listed in the title screen at 0:26 on the timeline before we get into the installation.
I want to share that on my 2017 Honda CBR500, I had an issue with using the adaptor to allow the running lights. It is too thick to feed through the hole at the start of the run from the signal into the fairing. So I will update my results after removing the fairing.
If you take a look at your 2023 you will notice that the location of the signals on the newer bike has changed. The signals no longer mount into the painted fairing section inside a signal well. Nowadays they mount into a black PP injection molded part behind the upper fairing. So the Halo signals will not work. The simmple flushmounts can fit physically but I cannot verify if there will be enough signal light projection to the front from that location. My best recommendation would be to use our Quadrix signal set with this bike, or perhaps another one of our pod signals. You could also moutn the Mech-GTR signals on this bike for a very techy futuristic look.
I'm confused. What is the point in the screw on the signal itself? The washer isnt big enough to go around it and the screw doesnt actually mount it anywhere?
Harness converters are only needed for our standard LED Front Flushmount Signals. Our Halo-1 Signals are plug and play so they will not require the use of the converters. Also, the rear signals use a different converter than the front.
Do you need the adapter for the Halo signals as well? I really want to buy these, just need to make sure I get everything to make it as easy as possible and are you guys currently shipping?
The Halo-1 signals have the three position Honda connector on them. Our standard signals terminate in two bullet connectors, and those require a harness adapter.
New rider here with a question (own the exact bike displayed in this tutorial). Great video. Though I will not buy these specific ones due to safety/visibility concerns, I will be buying the LED Front Pod BL6 smoked turn signals. The reason I watched this video was because I thought it would give me an idea if this bike needs a 3-2 or a 2-2 harness converter for the front signals. Can you guys help? Thanks
Hi, I recently purchased the halo ones for my 2017 Honda CBR500R and after installing them I have found that the halo doesn’t work, I have TST rear pods and a flash relay installed is there any reason why this may be occurring
Definitely not the Halo version. Here is a link to all the parts we have for that model if you want to see the options: tstindustries.com/honda-cbr-500r-cb-500f-2013-2018/
It fits the way you see it fit in the video. This video is for the purpose of instruction people who already purchased these on how to install them. It can also serve to illustrate how these fit into this particular bike. We clearly show the fit so that a person considering these parts can make an educated choice.
A good thing about this kit is, it can prevent someone from vandalizing and breaking not one but both of your turn signals, which is something that happened to my bike. Why someone would purposely break both of my blinkers beats the heck out of me in this crazy world we live in today, true story. Thanks for the video.
So you leave the wires just hanging. That thing better be waterproof cuz i ride in rain and wash my bike a lot.... the stock one atleast had a rubber housing to help
When following the installation method in this video and properly covering the bullet connectors on the converters, you shouldn't experience any issues related to water. These units are not water proof in the sense you can ride your motorcycle into a lake but they are water resistant to normal washing conditions and getting caught in the occasional rain storm.
Bad idea, severely cuts down on visibility in an area where you really want it just because you think the stock ones look stupid. New riders should avoid this modification
Would not recommend these lights at all. Bought and installed them today. They sit so far back you cannot see them unless you are directly on the side of the bike. They are bright but not safe at all. They really need to make them sit out another 1/2" to 3/4" to be flush & safe. Right now they are more counter sunk. They would still get the same great look, but like I said I would not recommend them. Wasted $50.00 with the relay you need.
We provide extensive content from our channel to our website to ensure everyone is given the opportunity to make a conscious decision before purchase. We will definitely take your concerns into consideration when designing future flushmount signals.
From my understanding the Halo version sticks out further but that is no longer on your site. Would have bought those if had the opportunity. Also your relay allows the blinkers to be turned on while the bike is off and locked.
I believe that we represented the product well in this video, showing exactly what it looks like after it is mounted. If this isn't your cup of tea, then I invite you to take a look at our various pod signal setups that protrude out of the bodywork and have a signaling light lens surface presented 180 degrees to oncoming traffic. Our business provides a selection of product, but the choices are left to the customer.

If your going to do this mod to any bike I would recommend your mirrors have indicators inbuilt....
Is this works on 2021 cbr650r??

hello, I have a cbr 500 year 2018, it has output in 3-pin directions (it has 3 wires), I did all of the video but it did not turn on the steady light
Signals not visible from the front. I think it's dangerous
will this work on my 2023 ?

The washer and the screw clamp the signal against the inside of the signal well.
@@TSTindustries my washer must be too small because it doesnt clamp anywhere
Are the harness converters the same for the basic led and the halo versions? And also for the rear led signals? Great vid.

@@TSTindustries I just placed my order for the Halo signals. Super pumped
Do I have to buy flash relays?

3-2 is what you will need for the front signals.
Hi, I recently purchased the halo ones for my 2017 Honda CBR500R and after installing them I have found that the halo doesn’t work, I have TST rear pods and a flash relay installed is there any reason why this may be occurring
The best course of action is to contact our support guys through the website. They will get your info and get you squared away.
So I dort need top buy a relay top user LED Signals on the CBR500R 2016?
A relay isn't required to use these signals, however, we do recommend installing one if you would like to retain your OEM turn signal flash rate.
Would these fit a CB500F?
Definitely not the Halo version. Here is a link to all the parts we have for that model if you want to see the options: tstindustries.com/honda-cbr-500r-cb-500f-2013-2018/
These are a good mod if you have mirror signals already installed
Hi guys! Can TST world ship this products?
Depends on destination. We do ship outside of the USA all the time but some locations are no ship zones.
@@TSTindustries im from chile!
So it sits so far in that you can barely see it unless you're looking at it from the side...

If I get the cbr600r halo led’s for my 2017 Honda Cbr500r, does the clip fit it for my 2017 model?
Why are the regular turn signals $15.99 and the Halo signals $49.99
The regular signals are not plug-and-play, a general design, and do not have a running light function. The Halo-1 Signals are a more premier product.

for those of you that want signals that stick out of the body work we offer pod signals kits

Looks pretty illegal to me
Legality is dependent on your particular area so be sure to check your local laws.

This is 2018. The only people actually use turn signals are the ones it accidentally bumped them anyway
