Probably the 14th arrondissement. Studied abroad in Paris for a time and got housed there! Very relaxed environment. Lots of great restaurants here as well. Not relevant to the arrondissement but, Pro-tip: On the day of Bastille Day the Louvre is free! I was in Paris back in the summer of 2016 for Bastille Day and a friend and I wanted to go and didn't have to pay. Perfect because there was hardly any people inside the Louvre, get to take all the pictures you want and then party in all throughout the afternoon and night watching the fireworks under the Eiffel Tower.

Great video! Paris is one of those places that warrants multiple visits over a lifetime. It’s a delicacy. The most fun is navigating the streets & experiencing neighborhoods.
"Paris is an incredibly safe city" ok I completely lost any trust I had in these guys. Paris is the least safe large city in Europe, take it from a Parisian.

I’m from Peru and I had a beautiful experience in Paris last year. All the French people (some were Parisians) I talked to were very polite and answered all my questions about the city.
Nice overview, but I wouldn’t call Paris incredibly safe. It’s incredibly beautiful. I love Paris! The scams and pickpockets are things tourists have to be prepared to handle. Definitely, know how to greet people in French!!! This alone is great. Without this, you’re ruining your experience. Everyone I know who hates Paris, they only spoke English without a French greeting.
My french teacher took us to france and told us always to greet in french, bonjour madame/mademoiselle/monsieur, and watch out for pickpockets. Wear a purse/bag that hangs in front of you.

Where was this video two months ago when I was there? Lol Totally agree with those tips, specially the citymapper one (truly a life saver!) and buying 10 metro tickets at once (obviously think of how long your stay is and if you're really going to need all of them before you buy).
Take the Bateaux Mouches especially at night. Start at Pont de L'Alma and get great pix of Tour d'Eiffel when the lights fire up! Stay on or just off the R. de Beaubourg near the Arts et Métiers metro, the Café Beaubourg is right opposite the metro. Uber is fast and reliable except for one or two times when the driver ditched us! Just cancel and book another. You can get a refund directly from Uber. The Métro is the best and cleanest I've ever seen so use it every chance you get if you're all tuckered out and find yourself leaving Versailles at a late hour. Lastly always greet the shop keepers and café staff with a friendly Bonjour Monsieur or Madame/Mademoiselle and a smile and Bon journée as you leave.

DustOffSoul Exactly! Was just there from Christmas to New Years. Traffic was horrible bc all the lines were down. Buses were packed. Locals were even HOHO buses. Stayed in Montmartre. Couldn't changed hotel bc it's was tied to flight. Thanks goodness for Uber.
Excellent video with good points to disseminate to people. Just three comments in response to yours: #3 - When you talked about buying ten tickets to use on the Metro, you didn't mention anything about the Carte Navigo for using public transport. I always try to arrive in Paris on a Sunday or Monday, the first day of the week you can buy a seven-day unlimited pass. In fact, I use the buses and Metro so much that even if I am there for only four or five days, I still get terrific value for it. It even includes round trip transport to/from the airport. #14 - Ah, Jim Haynes! What a wonderful guy he was. I went to his dinners many times. I've been wondering if anyone is going to take up the mantle for these dinners now that he has died (January 2021). #15 - Pickpockets got a brief mention. You really do need to be careful of your pants pockets on the Metro. Those thieves are quick!
Check his website. jim-haynes.com. Appears that it is open to all, but you need to contact him in advance to be added to the guest list. Thinking about doing this when I'm in Paris solo for two weeks in June.
I've got a tip for you on visiting Paris: don't come. It's a mess right now. Strike after strike, protests... You won't have a good time if you come now.
So i heard there have been protests in Paris, is it still safe to travel? If so, can any Parisians inform me on the best ways to communicate with locals without being rude. Like what to say and what not to say? (All i know is bonjour)
Always say “Bonjour Madame” (or Mr) when you go into a shop. It’s considered very rude not to greet the store clerk. Also, learn “Parlez Vous Anglais?” and “Mon Francais n’est par bon”. They really just want you to try, lol.
I love you're ideas. A bit late for me but a hidden gem I used was the secret entrance to the Louve and the Cuban vendors help in getting the perfect photo spot for a tip. Keep up the travel videos guys, I love to hear youre ideas for my trips!!
Like any major city, there will be pickpockets, not many scammers though. Just make sure you're not distracted while walking around touristy areas, they target tourists.
I so enjoyed this video of Paris! I can never get enough of this city…I’ve been there seven times with various companions, which in itself is another experience. Now you’ve made me homesick… the only rude person(s) I’ve encountered are Americans and while I’m also one, one needs to be kind, respectful to everyone. I speak very basic French but my favorite time of doing so was in a taxi from Gard de Nord in the 10th arrondissement to my hotel next to the Place de la Concorde. I had forgotten the address so I had to rely on my memory of previous visits to tell him in bad French where it was. After getting us there, I apologized (still in French) to the driver who said in Bad English oooh la la la, I would rather hear bad French than English any day!!
I’m lucky enough to have family near Paris, so I’ve gotten to visit a few times in my adult life! A lot of the vagabrothers’s tips make sense! - 100% agree with visiting Paris in the fall, it’s absolutely gorgeous. Luckily for us, last year it was still 80° in mid October. - Parisians and French people do appreciate it when you begin the convo in French and ask if they speak English.

I went during October it was perfect. Because you walk so much the brisk air was perfection. And it only rained for about 10 minutes on one day I was there.
Great video guys, super helpful tips! My favourite has to be Montmartre and the adjacent African quarter where I stayed last year. Near there is a great bistro called 'La Recyclerie' which I totally recommend: its got its own urban veg garden and has a big focus on reducing food waste and encouraging greener dining, all in a beautiful building made from recycled material! Great content, carry on!
I think near Metro PASSY. Take bus 72 - it goes along the river. Good places for photos, especially Pont Bir Hakim (and the area near that bridge, across the river from the E.T.
I just came back from Paris and after watching this video makes me want to go back soon. I will surely visit the places mentioned on this video. Thanks for sharing👍🙏
I know you guys hawked VISA, but I'm going to France and Switzerland next summer (b-day in Paris) and was wondering about bringing Euros/Swiss Francs. Wouldn't there be places that don't accept credit cards or have purchase minimums or can you tour the country without the need for local currency?
Here’s the deal with Paris. It’s either a cold, grey, unfriendly, expensive, dangerous, polluted place or … it’s a warm, colourful, friendly, cheap, safe, clean place … you decide.

French train travel is "stress free".....haha....only if they are not on strike lol...metro kinda NYC subway dirty too
That expatriate sunday dinner, can anyone go? I would love to do that but wouldn't want to cause problems if I didn't fit in.
Check his website. jim-haynes.com. Appears that it is open to all, but you need to contact him in advance to be added to the guest list. Thinking about doing this when I'm in Paris solo for two weeks in June.
vagabrothers, do you reccomend any places to stay?
Hey all, Namaste from Kolkata, India! 🙏 Vagabrothers deserves 1 MILLION 100,00,00 Subscribers. Let's wish they reach this milestone soon. ♥️🙏😍
I've got a tip for you on visiting Paris: don't come. It's a mess right now. Strike after strike, protests... You won't have a good time if you come now.
Mikeztarp Agree!!! Was just there from Christmas to New Year.
good^^
So i heard there have been protests in Paris, is it still safe to travel? If so, can any Parisians inform me on the best ways to communicate with locals without being rude. Like what to say and what not to say? (All i know is bonjour)
It’s totally safe. Try getting a phrase book for French. You’ll have so much fun
Always say “Bonjour Madame” (or Mr) when you go into a shop. It’s considered very rude not to greet the store clerk. Also, learn “Parlez Vous Anglais?” and “Mon Francais n’est par bon”. They really just want you to try, lol.
You guys are dressed nicer than a lot of Parisians nowadays.
Yeah guys! Good to see your Paris video out! Hope to cross paths again next summer!
First comment...:😃
Love your vlogs....from Bd 🇧🇩
Thank you!!! We hope to visit Bangladesh one day!
Thank you for share your travel tips, peace.
Thanks Diego!
Thinking of getting the train to Paris in a few weeks so good timing on this one for me !
Namaste from Kolkata 🙏 Seeing you after a long time. My fault 😁😍
you spelled Banh Mi wrong
I love you're ideas. A bit late for me but a hidden gem I used was the secret entrance to the Louve and the Cuban vendors help in getting the perfect photo spot for a tip. Keep up the travel videos guys, I love to hear youre ideas for my trips!!
Saw Any pickpockets or scammers? Going in March. Bit Paranoid
Like any major city, there will be pickpockets, not many scammers though. Just make sure you're not distracted while walking around touristy areas, they target tourists.
Lovely video of Paris, great job. It's inspiring me to continue creating travel videos, too. Cheers!
Thank you!
What a coïncidence😁 i’m going there next weekend. Thanks for the tips!🙏🏻
Another good video. Respect from Jamaica 🇯🇲
My gf and I are in Paris as we speak. These tips are pretty helpful.
Great to hear!! Hope you’re having fun!
- Parisians and French people do appreciate it when you begin the convo in French and ask if they speak English.
city transportation sucks in paris
Big kisses ♥️👍 vive paris 😆🇲🇫🗼✔️
Jay Swanson did a great 20 (Arrondissement) in 20 (days) series on his channel. Check it out for a deep dive.
🌈ꔣᨐ *Hello from a french who live from 1 hour and a half from Paris ! I'am in a little village in the middle of the vineyards and the fields. You know why ? I usualy go to Disney Paris, but never to Paris ! LOL so I 'am here, watching a video about Paris, behind my computer. How fun isn't it ? Take care of you and stay safe. I love Paris! Been living there! I just posted my first video! Let me know what you think!
will take a watch now
Great video! 🤟🏽 Wish I had these tips when I was there last month, lol
Love from karachi brosss😍😍😍😍
Welcome to my home town. My favourite neighbour is Montmartre !
Beautiful Video and great locations ! Thank you for sharing ! Keep your wonderful job going !
wow Alex got really chubby
Right now I'm in the hospital. Your videos help me through the day
Hope you'll feel better soon

Could anyone tell me where's that photo be taken ? It's so beautiful photo spot, Merci!
The Latin Quarter ❤️ Also Notre Dame at night!
Tip #18, I’ll make sure I get some nice classy outfits when I go to Paris in six months
I know you guys hawked VISA, but I'm going to France and Switzerland next summer (b-day in Paris) and was wondering about bringing Euros/Swiss Francs. Wouldn't there be places that don't accept credit cards or have purchase minimums or can you tour the country without the need for local currency?
ah wish i would have watched this video before my trip to Paris! would have been so helpful. but this is amazing, thank you for this!
I'm going to Paris in two weeks for the Olympics and I am very excited. Thanks for your advice.
Here’s the deal with Paris. It’s either a cold, grey, unfriendly, expensive, dangerous, polluted place or … it’s a warm, colourful, friendly, cheap, safe, clean place … you decide.
What would be the budget for a trip for two to Paris. Including airfare from North America
