Awesome to see my hometown in one of your videos. I would also add the San Diego Zoo for when people are visiting Balboa Park. North east there is also Julian for people who like small mountain towns. A good place to eat freshly baked apple pie and also a good place to pick apples, if you're in to that.
Went to college in San Diego! It is by far one of the best places to live in the country. Perfect weather, great food, nice people, and a really relaxed vibe :)

I miss San Diego, I’m definitely moving there when I turn 21. I stayed there for two weeks and not once did I get homesick. I only missed my dogs. When I left and came back to where I lived I was feeling homesick for a place I don’t even live in. My grandma thinks that’s where I lived in my past life.

Two days is not enough for San Diego coming from someone who has lived there for 20 years, but you guys did hit some of the classic spots

I went to this city two years in a row. It’s my favourite city in the world. I think it summarises everything that ‘California’ means. I also love the Mexican influence and how not many tourists go there. Sunset cliff National Park is just the most beautiful place I have ever been. I want to move there in the future.
I love my city so much, why would I want to vacation anywhere else when I could have a staycation here, It is so much one person or a family can do here!!!

As a California native who is currently sitting in Utah and shivering while watching this video, needless to say I am jealous haha. San Diego is a lovely place to live or spend some vacation time, so I'm glad you guys gave it the love it deserves. It is a good reminder that you don't always have to travel to the other side of the world for an adventure! I'm grateful to have a lifetime supply of adventures not too far away in southern Utah, the Grand Canyon, Colorado, etc. You guys should totally do a video or series of videos in the 4 corners region!

Lucha Libre is indeed fun and quirky, but by NO means is it our best burrito.
I haven't been there but I hear it's overrated...
The beach in front of the Belmont is AMAZING!! always wear fins to go boogie boarding... and enjoy the outdoor cafes with music yeahhhhh!!!

I lived in North Park over last winter & spring. Moving back on Sunday & I couldn't be more excited. SanDi is the best city I've been to & I've been all over. It's a must see place for everyone!

I live in east county San Diego, if you head out even further east you can hit up some locally loved mountain towns like Pine Valley, Julian, and a lake called Lake Cuyamaca. Julian is a personal favorite and is a great place to go apple picking in the fall!! 🎃

The thing I remember about San Diego is the trip to Tijuana. And they tell you before you go is to take your passport with you. I remember the zoo and La Jolla being interesting.

Love SD! beautiful weather and nice people,the place we stayed at was the Gas lamp District .
While I always like to see my hometown featured by travel vloggers, nothing beats a quality look at it through the lens of locals themselves and the best in the business. You both did the city right from Leucadia to Sunset Cliffs, Queenstown Public House, walking the Spruce Street Bridge, Balboa Park (North and South Park are epic!), Belmont Park (the MB/OB/PB trio), and Coronado. There was never a doubt you'd give us a great view of America's Finest City.
Favorites of mine?! Any of the local independent craft breweries (esp Societe, Burning Beard, Fall and Deft), an Old Fashioned at Seven Grand, burgers at Balboa Pub & Grille, a gut-busting tour of the amazing restaurants in Kearny Mesa, hiking in Alpine, star-gazing in Mt Laguna, or catching a show at the La Jolla Playhouse.

Another fun place to explore is Liberty Public Market at the Liberty Station.
Yeah they’ve really done an excellent job renovating that place. When we were growing up only the golf course was really there, the rest were old rotting buildings. Now it’s so nice!
Went to San Diego two summers ago and absolutely loved it. Hoping to get back out in the next two years once financially stable!!
Just came across this video, and we were so close by during our US road trip back in 2018. Seeing how beautiful and vibrant San Diego is, I really regret that we didn't opt to go there. Hopefully next time though!

Haven't been to San Diego yet, i've been up in LA a few times and San Francisco area as well but just haven't made a trip down to SD. Thanks for the restaurant suggestions! Will mark them on our map for when we visit. Gig probably wants to go to Queenstown first though she saw some photos from my hike up the tiki trail and that may be above SD on our list of places to go. So is a weekend plenty to see SD?
Its a quaint beautiful city with the most perfect weather conceivable situated right on the pacific coast with small beautiful islands in middle of the ocean right across its downtown with 360 degree view of the blue sky year round and palm tress peppering its landscape. It gives you the perfect blend of the city /urban and sprawling suburban lifestyle with its waterside parks,museums, restaurants,clubs, lounges, diners, seaworld, theme parks, as well its gorgeous houses dotting the pacific coast as well as inland. But what makes it S.D. truly gr8 is the awesome warm and cool people that inhabit it. I fell in love with this place from the very first moment and i have been to every major city in the states and its hard to admit for a new yorker but San Deigo is probably the best city in America!!!!!

My hometown were I was born I still miss san Diego
I went on a whale watching cruise on Hornblower the first time I went there. We went about seven miles out, we could see Tijuana to our East and Point Loma to the west. We saw six grey whales, two heading south and four heading north. To see whales in the wild is a beautiful thing, a truly awesome experience.

In few days we will celebrate our 1st year living in Caribbean :) Honestly its not all paradise like it might seems, its very different then EU (you know 3rd world country..) but still I will not change and Im happy for this new life opportunity :) Btw have you discovered Kinskeho zahrada (beautiful park from which you can walk to Petrin in less turistic way).
