It's marketed as chinese food in Korea and Koreans think it's Chinese, but the fact is that in China you can only get 짜장면 in Korean restaurants. Same as Champon, it actually originated in Nagasaki but we often think it's from China. China does have somewhat similar dish to jajangmyeon and champon but the taste is very very different.

Believe me, cooking large portions is easier. Large portions are easier to control the pan heat and seasoning (and eventually correct it if needed!).
