That certainly was a different lasagne, and different in a delicious and surprising way too. What I like about different things is that it makes a nice change from the same thing all the time. Like the time I had a holiday in Nottingham instead of Birmingham and that lot. I actually got to meet Robin Hood, believe it or not. He was actually a really nice fellah and never robbed me, not even once. It was a good experience and I do recommend it. Fumbs up.
My wife and I always enjoy watching you cook. Another great tool for breaking up the mincemeat is a potato masher if you're looking for more ways to chop the mince up really small. Works super well

I raised a family whilst holding down a job, cleaning the house and cooking good nutritious meals for my children, my daughter works two jobs whilst bringing up two boys and providing healthy well cooked meals for them, Nomads cook outside on an open fire with very few pots and utensils yet they manage to cook a decent meal, now who's ignorant 🙄
everyones circumstances are different. some have relatives they have to care for or other obligations. Just because you were able to do that no problem doesn't mean that others can. You can compare yourself to others all you like but regardless circumstances are different for each person such as what you did for work for example. How far you had to travel to get to and from. If you had other responsibilities like caring for your elderly dementia ridden mother. or you have a very demanding job where you are away most of teh time and do not have a spouse so you must rely on a babysitter which also costs money on top of raising your child. Or perhaps the person has disabilities. There are so many variables as to why someone might not have the knowledge of cooking.@@Tobernee-m7f
and also, if you come from a family of trauma and drug abuse then its most likely you never learned how to cook. Parents pass down a lot of those things to their kids but if your parents were high or drunk all the time, odds are you had to cook for yourself even if you didn't know how. Yep...not only can a spoon do the same job, but you can also stir and turn the mince with a spoon, thereby eliminating all the red bits you can see when the mince is "cooked".
I used to think you had to put meat in a hot pan, and season it, but, i really like your cold start technique Kay! And I've never given thought to just turning the heat off, finishing my coffee, and then going back to cooking after! Masterful technique once again Kay! 5 stars!
Hi Kay can you please make this recipe I think you will love it It’s a rice crispy cake 3 cups of rice crispy s or coco pops 1 cup of melted chocolate First add 3 cups of rice crispys and add it to a large bowl Secondly melt 1 cup of chocolate any chocolate and add it to the bowl and combine it all together Put the mixture into a cake pan or cupcake tray and put in the fridge for 30 mins Take out after 30 mins and eat enjoy

Kay, the reason why there's still red patches in the mince is down to that contraption you're using. Yes, it breaks up the mince but what it can't do is stir and turn it. Just use a wooden spoon...
When is a lasagne not a lasagne? When Kay makes it. What an eye opener. Never thought of using instant gravy instead of marinara sauce. Never thought of using penne pasta instead of lasagne either, never thought of making a casserole instead of a lasagne. I really need to let myself go a little more in the kitchen. Kay, you are a true inspiration. I’m going to make a spaghetti bolognaise now you have inspired me, but with steak instead of spaghetti and chips instead of bolognaise. Genius.

kay, try frying the garlic on its own and then putting the ground beef (mince meat) in afterwards. this will make the garlic flavor much bolder, making it all taste more flavorful!
Kay ai love your videos but please please for the love of god , don't cook pasta for more than 10 minutes. After it's cooked , strain it from the hot water otherwise it will carry on cooking and become mush. Have your sauce ready first , and then cook pasta right at the end. This penne looked like it was sat in that pot for 20 minutes. You can even run it under cold water to stop the cooking process while it's in a colander.

Wooden spoons, everything was a hassle and very unsatisfactory and time consuming for poor results, but this thing is like magic. And to clean it off? You're not talking 10 sides, but 5, take your finger or a butter knife or a spoon handle and stick it in the middle of the blades and the meat all falls off, and besides, all of the blades aren't always in need of being cleaned off. Then a quick rinse under the tap. That hasn't been a problem. There is always someone who doesn't like certain things. I have seen bad reviews of my Magic Blender. I LOVE it! If I didn't know how good it was, I wouldn't want one because of those reviews. I only want and have kitchen things that are helpful and useful to me. You know, the first time I used that meat breaker upper I couldn't believe how good it was. I said it was worth its weight in gold. And I have used it to break chunks of cooked carrots in the pot into smaller pieces, and also cooked cauliflower and boiled potatoes that I then fried. One use indeed. Wrong.

I used to use that "Very Lazy Garlic" but I found it gave quite a vinegary taste so moved on to other options. Do you find the same?
