Me too!
Bachs Worte sind wahr. Jesus liebt dich.
I remember my mother playing this at home on the harmonium (2 klavier, full pedal). Lovely. She played a lot of Bach and Buxtehude and Pachelbel. She played very well. This brings back memories. I grew up with old music. Even when in her whom we were playing together )
Extraordinary rendition, with perfect speed (which is rare) and outstanding performance by the oboist, as many point out. Congrats
As i am a real Greek i have more reasons to love and affect this country than reject it. I love Great Britain ❤ ❤❤.
This comforing feeling is like slumbering on the chest of my late beloved mother when I was infant
Beautiful picture!!

Yes! We have a friend in Jesus✝️🇮🇪☘️🙏
Being played at the funeral of both my parents and composed by the Great Johann Sebastian Bach this piece of music enters the body of every soul on earth and touches the essence of 'being' with emotion 🙏
I love this music but also the way Bach combined the music to a real worship with all his soul and heart as you can read in the words. Joy!
No words can transport these deep emotions.Only Bach and a marvellous Performance can do
❤
I got to play this on Winchester cathedral on their beautiful organ which was heavenly and sung this at a special choir festival will always be v special to me I thank the lord for Bach I play this almost daily calms me down lifts me to the heavenlys ❤🎉
And in the midst of COVID...love this performance so much.
This has to be one of the best performances ever made.
It truly is. Cheers to the beauty of music
Every time I feel I want some "light in the tunnel" I listen to this hymn - my daily life hymn.
This sounds too good to be true! The voices are amazing and the oboe is just perfection. The organist did a great job supporting whilst not overwhelming, and did a great job with the rallentando at the end with the oboe. I can't believe all that sound is coming from only 8 vocalists.
V8 are absolutely perfect and singing the amazing music of Bach. The pinnacle of composition and performance.
! A Glória e honra a Ele eternamente. Amém.
One organ, one oboe and eight beautiful voices. That’s all and it’s enough...
This oboist plays divine🙏
Great perfromance !! great choir, wonderful voices and arragements .You gave me a wonderful first day 2023. For all of you ... a Happy new year 2023 !
I love the way the organist is doing his own bit of directing. 1:36
Wunderbar! Mein Herz tanzt.
Mein auch!!
If you're feeling down, having a hard time, and about to give up just listen to these songs and read every lyric and reflect and feel Jesus in your heart....
I could not agree more, "just listen to these songs", this music, classical music in general has brought me to a place I never would have imagined, it has opened my eyes to a glory, a feeling deep inside, I have realized it has always been there, you just need to accept it.
Beautiful
The joy of the Lord is my strength! :-)

This is absolutely beautiful. I didn’t know it or hadn’t heard it before tonight when the girls of Southwell Minster sang it as their anthem at Evensong, and I had to come home and find a recording. Thank you Mr Larkin.
It moves me and always will.
Thank you JSB for bring us to heaven.
This is the best performance of this I’ve ever heard! Fantastic! Bach would be thrilled.
These are professionals at the top of their game, just exquisite
Ich kann nicht aufhören, das anzuhören. Dankeschön 🙏
I can't stop listening to this. Thank you 😊
Just to be certain, I have listened to this tremendous, perfect performance at least 100 times now. Each and every time, a few tears are shed. I remain firmly convinced that this is the most perfect version I have ever enjoyed of what is, in my opinion, the best of Bach, which of course lies beside so much genius.
A perfect performance, indeed!!
Same reactions, same opinion
I totally agree, it's quite difficult to listen to other musics just after that. That is why i listen to it in loop
It is a beautiful performance as is that of the father of modern oboe playing, Leon Goosens. His tempo is slightly faster:
Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, BWV 147: No. 10, Choral. "Jesus bleibet meine Freude"

I am in awe of his performance and his amazing ability to alter the registration of this complex fugue on the fly!!
Awesome circular breathing!
Heard this piece during my final papers in university and it did help me, caus it was my companion during that moment
Wonderful and Heart Breaking Interpretation of the Choral. The oboist as well as the musician on the organ play with their full heart - and that is the soul and found of this Song . And the singers of the group voces8 are a masterclass of its own.
Wonderful!
