I had a preschool moving up and I did a twist out, I did two strand twist the day before and took them out in the morning so he had the most perfect curly afro

How often should you wash and style????
Try and go minimum two weeks if you can. That way they let’s the hair actually grow without being touched or manipulated. If your little ones hair gets dry easy make sure you’re spritzing with water every other day or so so that their hair doesn’t dry out while in the style because if it gets too dry it won’t retain the length.

No, at age 3 I had not cut or trimmed his hair at all.

This video is from May of this year and it's the first time I ever "trimmed" and I didn't even do that, I just dusted the ends of his hair.
If you see your child's hair could use a trim then do so, I just never saw a reason that's why it took until he was 5 to even do anything with scissors lol. My friend is a hairstylist and she said that because he was young (and even now) and he didn't have heat in his hair until recently, there wasn't anything that would've caused his hair to need trimming. So if you've not put any heat in his hair you could probably get away with just dusting his ends 🤷🏽♀
What is the best hair growth
There isn't really a product but use the LCO method and wear protective styles and that should help!
