    About A Clockwork Orange:
    Being the adventures of a young man...who loved a bit of the old ultra-violence...went to jail, was brain washed...and came out cured...or was he? In a futuristic welfare state, Alex (Malcolm McDowell), a vicious young hoodlum, sleeps all day and spends his nights roaming the city with his droogs (friends), assaulting innocent people in the streets and in their homes. Finally captured by the police, Alex undergoes rehabilitation in the form of aversion therapy as brutal and horrifying as any of his offenses.

Heck, the original cut was like 4 hours long, and even then after that, they had to cut 3o seconds from 2 scenes so it wouldn't be rated X. This one of those movies that will stick with you, it will change the way you think and see the world, and once you see it, you can never unsee it. Oh the horrors and excitement that lays in wait for unsuspecting viewers, another movie that comes close is Reservoir Dogs

    Does anyone else apart from me think that Malcolm McDowell would have been excellent as Hannibal lecter if Hopkins turned down the role?

    • @stevenlupanko2983
      @stevenlupanko2983 Рік тому

      Just you then!!! Hopkins isn't athletic enough to kick people in the head and he lives behind glass so probably wouldn't be granted day release to act in this. Imagine lunchtime the rest of the cast wouldn't want him around if he was hungry.

    Alex is hands down one of the most iconic anti protagonists produced in film
    He’s Young yet Schadenfreude
    He’s Intelligent yet Fiendish
    He’s Cultural yet Hostile
    He’s Human yet Flawed

    • @jkorshak
      @jkorshak 3 місяці тому

      That's the book. Alex is shown here to be a young man, late teenager because Kubrick and Burgess felt it would be too disturbing and distracting watching younger teenagers engaging in all the ultra violence.

      That's wild. I have to enjoyed lsd with some of those movies. It's a trip that those were your Era of movies but when I was watching this there was times where I felt out of synchronicity with the movie just because the culture was different back then. It's awesome that I have also been blessed with psychedelia and pop culture but it's wildly different these days. I just turned 29 and still enjoy lsd but prefer mushrooms way more and everytime man it gets very idk introspective and sometimes felt like the movie lyrics were narrating my world views. I was also on psychedelics but it's odd how much cinema and music can change are presumption of the world while going through said trip.
