I quit 8 years ago. I aint going back. I dont think of myself as an addict or holding on for dear life, one step away from a relapse. The allure of alcohol is a fraud, that alcoholics delude themselves with. The absolute resolution, to quit, and stay quit, no matter what, is your strongest weapon. There is no "maybe" in quitting. Naltrexone/Vivitrol, can be very helpful in your quitting.... Good luck.
I’m watching because I had drinking issues when it loseing my mother and I didn’t stop drinking till I 25 now I’m 30 in a half and 5 years sober I haven’t tried cold water shock therapy ware you just dive into a freezing river and just let the bad sad feelings go away because the only thing that would be on ur mind is the coldness from the water they started doing that in Scotland I should know because I am Scottish and I’m 100% sure that this movie in filmed in Scotland
This was actually a good movie. I got to watch it a film festival. Too bad I didn't get to see her there. . . Watch it. You will like. Bitter sweet. As she is. . .
I really do not like feelgood films. They make me feel bad. I feel totally manipulated and with climate catastrophe and our immanent extinction due to systemic corruption by our bought-off governments, we need to feel scared and angry and to act, resist and fight. Feelgood feels false in this world now, a throwback. People need to wake up. You don't feel good when you realise the near future is complete collapse, mass death and mass devastation, war and fascism.
I wouldn't call this a feel good film. I drank for a long time because everything was so painful to feel and to look at; it was the only way I knew how to function. I no longer drink, and because of that, and in spite of it, I can engage in my activism for humanity and animals alike with my eyes wide open... It's not a happy ending, both ways of living are their own types of pain. If you've never had an addiction, you wouldn't get that.
The book was not a feel good memoir, nor does the film look like it’s a feel good movie. It’s about life and how we suffer and grow as a result of the decisions we make.
You and I broke the laws of God & Jesus paid the price. With the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:10
I think the point is that people are multifaceted and complicated, whether or not they have an addiction. It's a character study. You may as well just say that you're not interested in humanity.
That’s a sure fire Oscar nomination movie , loved her acting ever since 2007’s “Atonement “❤🍁
Such a power actress
Indeed she is. I've been quite in awe of Saoirse ever since The Lovely Bones and Hanna.

A fantastic actress and elegantly beautiful young woman. It is nice to see her in an Irish role.

it's really sad that these type of movies don't get enough attention from the media
They make them nervous. 😟
My last drink was almost 34 years ago. The trailer is wrong. Of course it gets easy

Can't wait to see this. I absolutely loved the book! 💌
It looks awesome already, powerful, and timely. I'm definitely in!
And don't forget to read the book afterwards, it's worth it.
omg - a crazy coincidence - I am just this moment beginning to read "The Alcohol Experiment" by Annie Grace. Kismet? I think so.
Does anyone know the name or artist of the song that starts around 1:14 ? Tried searching the lyrics on Google, but I can't find it 😭
Still Reigning by Self Esteem is in the trailer
waiting for someone to do a Kinds of Kindness style version of this trailer

Everything is about decease addiction war etc… the sea itself should be enough. You know.
It's about humanity, think of it that way.
@@melindaengland8534 well… I’m 62… and the reality is I’m a little done with humanity for a bit…

Saoirse character pair with a brown character. Look like a tv commerical. I'll pass on it.
Bye!
@@AnnieFoley-l3h same to you!
I think that’s just plain sad you would think like that. It’s your prerogative but I find it quite depressing.

Looks depressing. Not interested in drinkers. Think I'll pass on this one.

Stannis is just doomed to sit on small, sea-beaten and wind-swept islands forever isn't he?
