I have the 10 year old version of this. Great shop vac except the hose would kink. I just donated it & bought the newer version of this one that comes with a car detailing kit. I've heard nothing but good reviews about it.
Thank you im actually thinking about buying nxt 60l (16 gal) 6.5 peak hp wet/dry vac at home Depot today and i mostly just want it for outside use i was worried with filter and all sticks and leaves dont really need a filter its all dusty anyway so i was worried if it wasn't meant to be used outside this video helped me out alot thank you!
I think for a vacuum this size, it should have a tall handle, that you can pull around or push around, kind of like a rolling suitcase, I used to have a Stanley fat max shop vac that had a handle like that, it made it very nice to move around
Vince you can buy 4.5 ridgid vacs for the price of your backpack! And with this unit you get unlimited run time compared to the battery powered milwaukee!
Trz I loved the video and I can use my until I open it up for Christmas because it is a Christmas present from my mom and trz do i have 90 days to register the vacuum for the lsa warranty
I just bought one of these today (3/6/22). They're still $99 at Home Depot. The thing I don't understand is the price, it wasn't on sale at $99, but it was less expensive than other Ridgid wet/dry vacs that had weaker motors and smaller capacity... Strange, you'd think they'd charge more for the bigger, more powerful units.
@@ToolReviewZone I. Saw a excellent idea for this is when I saw what this gentleman he did with one awesome idea maybe you can use it in your shop and others ua-cam.com/video/WyBuRjO54NM/v-deo.html
If I use that vacuum in conjunction with a rigid FA6500 filter kit or is it AF6500 filter one of those two would it be good enough to clean up lead dust?
Do you know the correct way to put the accessories on the machine - this includes all car attachments. Can I fit both large hoses - black/orange on the unit?
It’s not designed to store the auto accessories, the auto accessories are smaller in size, it’s usually sold separately but was free with this unit, God Bless
@@kg5vacuums205 ahhh, ok. Yeah that's possible. You can get a exhaust cap/muffler for a couple $ at home depot for that. It will help a lot and will also keep the dust from coming back out as well
does anyone know if i could use this vac to wash out my car seats and use some type of foam or soap (i’m aware id have to take out the filter or buy a wet one).
Durable, strong piece of awkward crap. If you carry it, you gotta spread your arms and make sure u don't hit and loose those attachments. So many years in buisness, same fekin issues.
The review was great but the ocean part was priceless.
Lol thanks Ray!
That was some funny shit!!!
Love it all🌼 scoots around with me real good, I expect to be using this vacuum for years to come! Highly recommend.

Nice review and I got a chuckle out of it
I bought 3 of them. They are as good as you say and easy to clean.
I got one of these yesterday, very nice! I also ordered the gutter cleaning attachment kit for it

Good Video Clint! The ridgid vacs are nice. Plus they are pretty affordable!

Thank you so much!!!
Ha! Classic~! I love it! Thanks for the great video and laugh!
That filter is the VF5000 with 3 layers; the VF6000 is the green HEPA allergen filter with 5 layers.
Hey Garner just bought one of those today. I told him he should send it to me for Christmas. I don’t have much faith he will do that. 😂
Haha, he bought the big boy 16 gallon. I wouldn't hold your breath gear lol
U parted the seas like Moses. Impressed...😂
Haha, thanks Gen, it wasn't easy lol
@@ToolReviewZone 😂😂
You took all the water man!
I was very “lucky” and got one form Home Depot it came with the $39.00 Auto Detailing kit for free inbox!
They are $119 right now at Home depot with the auto kit.
The 4 gallon 5 hp with auto kit is $75 but sold out
Do you not need the wet application filter for that water pickup job?
How has this specific model held up?
That thing ... sucks! 😂 Good stuff man. Happy belated Thanksgiving!
Happy thanksgiving Carlos
@@JENNA9039 Happy Thanksgiving, Richard! Hope you had a great time!
And blows! Thanks bro, you too!
Sucks like ram trucks!
Lol
Awesome review TRZ but that Ridgid doesn’t suck as much as my Milwaukee 3 in 1 backpack vacuum!!
I would have liked to do a Ghostbusters vid with that vac. I smell a showdown lol

Yeah buddy!
LONG LIVE THE RIDGID

Looks like yours came with a handle and wheels? Mus be different model
@@ToolReviewZone that is because my ridgid nxt vacuum is the 16gallon wet dry vacuum
Ahhhh
You need to register it
i love the accessory rack
Thanks for your effort in this review, I love it.
You got it Antonio! Thanks for the comment!!!

I was thinking the same thing. I just bought it as well.
Is it heavy to carry around ?
@@gallo4796 Not at all. It’s big but not really that heavy.
@@oaybar007 fr it says it weight around 20-25 lbs on homdepot site you don’t think that’s accurate
@@gallo4796 kind of... It's bigger than I would have liked for my shop (1.5 car garage).
Great review, thanks
Is there a rubber seal where the top unit connects to the drum?
Good video
Yeah man. Nice video.
Thanks buddy

can i use this on my wood floor to vacuum pet hairs ?
Yep
I was wondering if this vacuum cleaner will be good to use on collecting lead dust
No way bro, you need a Hepa filter vacuum to keep that dust from going into the air as it is hazardous
@@ToolReviewZone isn’t the vf6000 a hepa filter for this unit, ? Thanks
If I use that vacuum in conjunction with a rigid FA6500 filter kit or is it AF6500 filter one of those two would it be good enough to clean up lead dust?
No you need a certified hepa vac
I agree the cord wrap sucks also the hose is too damn stiff , would like to have it more flexible.
Do you know the correct way to put the accessories on the machine - this includes all car attachments. Can I fit both large hoses - black/orange on the unit?
Nope

I need to know if this works for tile and linoleum?
Can this be used to clean carpet?
I'm watching from the United States Virgin Islands....THE WORLD'S PARADISE!!!
I have a question, is it ok if water come out the exhaust when vacuuming up water? I had the water filter in there so it was set up right.
Hmmm, that's a bit strange. How much water is actually coming out? I shouldn't hurt anything but still a bit strange
Tool Review Zone it was not like a lot come out at one time it was kinda like it was a misty spray coming out.
@@kg5vacuums205 ahhh, ok. Yeah that's possible. You can get a exhaust cap/muffler for a couple $ at home depot for that. It will help a lot and will also keep the dust from coming back out as well
Is it overkill if I just use it as a car vacuum? Lol
No way. I use this for my car all the time 👊

what the height on that?
Made in America??
Why does no one use shop vac bags?
I do when I do drywall
i dont think that blue filter is for wet stuff
You should use the black wet filter for wet that ridgid sells
The blue filter is made for wet use, both the vf5000 and the vf6000 are wet use, only the vf4000 isn’t, peace and God Bless
Wahahaha nice review!!
goood

I bought a new Ridgid vac 6.0 it’s not the best vac I’ve ever owned for a high priced vac! Not that strong of a continuous suction
Which one did you get Andy?
Tool Review Zone I’ll have to get back to you tomorrow
@@andytheartist1 3 weeks later....... chirp chirp chirp......
It is a Ridgid 16g, 6.5Hp model WD1680 I’ve put a separate dust collection on it!

People, stay away from Trugreen, they are a ripoff!!
😂
not cordless. dis
Cordless one aren’t designed for long use, it quickly looses power very fast, this vacuum is designed for large jobs.
