This is *The Price Is Right* that I grew up with when I was just a young boy in the 1980s. I keep wishing for a time machine to bring me back to those days again. I won't stop wishing for it until it comes true or until I'm six feet underground...whichever comes first.
I have seen this Bar None commercial on here like four times! This is my fourth time! That was one of the earliest commercials I saw as a two year old and I saw it for the first time during an ep of PIR!
Sorry to hear about your grand mother Matt. She got her chance to be on TPIR and getting up to the showcases also meeting Bob too. Alot get weeded out with the wheel spins. Love Bob's geography questions. RIP Mrs Tavas.
When I saw the beginning, I was really rooting for your grandmom to win it all. Was sad at the end, but she did very well for herself on this episode regardless. How many people can say they were on TPIR, nevermind made it to the Showcase Showdown? So cool. May she RIP.
@@Matt-fs1yy | It was nice seeing Bob have a short chit-chat with your grandmother at 7:55 after she came on down. I hope you and your family always preserve this video in some form, knowing she passed away almost 20 years ago.
This is the TUesday show of this week of shows. THis week of shows on MOnday featured the last playing of the short-lived Add Em Up game(played for two years), and the Friday show was the show where Janice was hit with a camera and was injured and missed about a month of shows.
THe TPIR timeline at Golden-road dawt net has a listing of the pricing games played on most episodes of TPIR from 1972-present, which is how the actual airdate was gleaned.

This episode is gonna turn 35 soon, doesn't it? And that's 35 years (if not more) that offered TVs have images instead of just being let off during their presentation (during the end credits the announcer got replaced by the crowd). I dedicate this episode of TPiR (and every other episodes I'll ever watch on UA-cam even if board by Drew) to Bob Barker and I never got to see a TPiR show in full until the beginning of this summer (June 2023) because I had more stuff to watch on UA-cam (at first I've been obsessed with Press Your Luck and it all started with the "cheater" Larson then became full on obsessed with TPiR, the reason probably because both game shows were broadcast on 👁️¹). ¹whilst TPiR still goes on (but now the saddened Drew Carey is on a new studio and not on the historic Bob Barker ones - and I expect something dedicated to Bob Barker himself on the first show of season - I believe - 52 instead of just a thing that gets broadcasted just before the beginning of the episode that I saw somewhere like Twitter and Instagram) Press Your Luck has moved to ABC whammies (whammies because ABC is rival with 👁️) Rest in peace Bob Barker December 12 1923 August 26 2023 I even thought he would arrive to 100 but followed the big wheel's imperative "Closest to 100 without going over". Hey, man, sorry about your grandma! if it makes you feel any better, my grandma died March 3, 2000. I was a senior in high school. anywho, thanks for the upload of PIR.
The Young and the Restless always followed TPIR in most markets throughout the Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones. (Not all, some tape delayed, or aired the later eastern feed of Y&R in favor of a local or syndicated program at 11) In the Eastern Time Zone, it would have been local news at noon on most of those stations.
@@warrenduree9417 And it still is now (when I was a boy, my local CBS [WSPA] had Eyewitness News at noon [which became NewsChannel 7, then 7 On Your Side, and now, in the Drew Carey era, 7 News]).
James Greek i wouldn't say picking, just think he knows his areas, or as he would say: doing his act. Of course he'd know Mo, KS, and the surrounding states very well.
If you're referring to the announcer that was the late Rod Roddy....the successor of the original announcer Johnny Olson. As far as the STAR...that is the legendary game show KING of #TPIR, Bob Barker! And it's not very respectful of you to refer to him as an old fart!
A $1000 bill?? Didn't they stop making those in 1969? Who hooked TPIR up with those? Bob was TPIR but did he actually watch and enjoy his show or was he like Srpinger and would "never watch my show..."...
Loved The Old Price Is Right Episodes!
Better than Drew Carey version of TPIR
thanks so much for posting, it is so cool to see eps from the PIR from the '80s with the original commercials
Your Gramma was cute as a June bug! Thank you for the upload and sharing this moment with the rest of us.

Thank you for the good quality episode!
Here it comes! Television's most exciting hour of fantastic prizes! The fabulous, 60 minute Price Is Right!
I think this is the season (17) when Bobbo was officially named EP.
And when he would start making entrances from the back of the audience.
Season 16 is when he was made EP

Why is it sad because she lost a beautiful African-American woman¿
DaffyDuckFan 🙄. That had nothing to do with it. Yes, the woman who won was very good looking.
