your mom and my mom have one thing in common here, they both were the first out of that 4 to be called to come on down. Rod called your mom first, and he did the same when he called my mom. I've been looking for that episode for years now.
For each of those 6 One Bid Prizes, I would have guessed the following. Grandfather Clock: $1,625 Garden Tools: $777 Luggage: $1,020 Color TV: $750 35mm Camera/Accessories: $1,200 Dinette: $1,298
SUrprised someone winning a microwave in the 80s when they were more a luxury I guess would sell it. This was probably taped in August or September, but this is only about 10 episodes or so past the point where Bob stopped dying his hair.
this may have been the "monsoon" taping...where a rain squall kept many of the ticket holders from getting to the bob barker studio...this is evidenced by the vast number of empty seats in the camera right portion of the audience in front of the judges' table and the slate...
4-digit car prices, getting a motorhome for over $30000, now it's over $20000 for a car, and around 50 to $100000 for a motorhome. BTW, do you guys still live in the Texoma-Lawton area? I got family near Dallas, and sometimes get near that area, but rarely.
Hi Adam! I won the showcase on "The Price is Right" show #3921D, aired December 22, 1980 (it was a Christmas show). This was really before people had VCR's, so I never was able to get a copy. Is there anyway you know of to get a copy of this show? How did you get a copy of your mom's show?
I hope that UA-cam doesn't catch you for copyrighting TPIR uploads without CBS and Fremantle Media or Mark Goodson Television Productions's permission.
Fun episode, though I wish the last few minutes were included. Its sort of anti-climatic without the complete episode. I agree, there is something much more interesting about watching TPIR episodes from original recordings with commercials. If you think about it, much of this stuff is quite obscure, with few people remembering it at all in the decades since airing.
great video thanks for sharing, that's so cool that your mom was on TPIR
1:08 And that was the reason that Barker went through the studio audience whenever Golden Road or 3 Strikes was played.

Hello Adam Lopez,
I have a question for you. Did your mom Hollie win her showcase or did the runner-up win his?
I was gonna ask too. It cut off too soon😞

excrono I concur: fantastic episode, marred only by the missing ending. Nevertheless, effusive thanks for sharing it with us!
If GSN kept the rights and went in order this episode would've aired January 2 2003.
first contestant to be called as a matter of fact.
