Love this! I always focus on “stick” products when traveling so as to minimize the liquids I have in my carry-on. The Vieve eye wands have been a recent fave because I can blend them out with my finger instead of needing to pack a brush. ✨

When I saw this pop up, I thought it was one of your older videos. Such a fun surprise to see you revisit an older concept. Reminds me how long I have been watching your videos, and how much you've grown as a creator. 😊❤ Could we also see a travel skincare, body and hair? I remember in the last few years, you've started having more hair content. Did you get minis of your hair masks? I find my skin is drier when I travel, and always seem to forget about body care. Also you mentioned in an older video that when you're started to run low on a product you would save it for travel, and use it up on the trip so you had less to take back. (I think it was with glossier priming moisturizer) I used this trip on a recent trip and it saved me! Enjoy your trip!!

I have been trying to step up my hair game in recent years but still keep that category very slim for short trips - usually just my Tangle Teezer brush, a mini Klorane dry shampoo, and travel sized shampoo and conditioner x

Addition: I recently went on a trip to the Northeast. I spent a lot of it at the beach or in water, so I stuck with a minimal product list! Typically no makeup, but if I went out for dinner or something like that, I’d go with a lengthening mascara, clear brow gel, and subtle liquid highlighter. I skipped blush and bronzer because I got so tan (and a little sunburnt 😂) ;)
Thank you Faith, absolutely! Mask requirements have been lifted apart from a few settings in Australia, but I still wear one everywhere I go 👍 I haven't had COVID and want to keep it that way! Sounds like a great packing list x

I’m in a long distance relationship (between England and Germany) so I’ve been travelling a lot in the last few months and I’m very bad at keeping my list of things I bring concise, I always want to bring all my favourite things to have options so my makeup bag as well as my suitcase end up very stuffed. This was very fresh and inspiring!

I’m actually going somewhere far away for the first time since Oct 2019 - a week in France! I’m planning to take almost all cream products - a couple Tower 28 blushes, maybe one from Rare Beauty also. Some Merit lip oils, the Rare Beauty concealer, and maybe one sparkly shadow. I’ve been to see family recently. The Tower 28 Blushes, Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex Shadow and too many lip products is what made it into the bag.

I used to have the most trouble picking blush for a travel bag but the Em Cosmetics So Soft stick in Pearl Tea has become a constant! Love a stick for its size and much like the VB I love that it’s neutral and bronzey enough to work as a blonzer

Just got home from a trip recently. Packed: PTR skin to die for, Clinique pep start spf, purlisse bb concealer, tarte sample maneater mascara, milk lip cheek color, nars lip balm in Laguna, and a sample of cream eye shadows that had a nude, amethyst, and bronze tone.
It was a laid back trip to the mountains so makeup was light simple natural

Recently went to Singapore so I had to pack more powders since dewy products melt off for me in the heat! Just brought my essentials: concealer, powder foundation, powder bronzer, powder blush, a stick highlighter sample, brow gel, and one lip color. It all held up pretty well for me!
Did you use any setting spray in Singapore? I’m always looking for a good one, one that can beat the heat lol

Initially during the pandemic, I was minimal...then the pendulum swung hard in the opposite direction and now I wear much more than I did prior to the pandemic when I go out haha

Just returned from a trip to San Francisco and I’ve been using lipstick as blush to get a monochrome look. I’ve been loving the Mac’s Powder Kiss in Mull it Over on the cheeks and 3CE Matte Lipstick in Mellow Flower on top of it. Makes for such a pretty combo on both the lips and cheeks!

I have not been wearing makeup almost at all during the pandemic, but have gotten super into bronzing and bronzer - I feel like it makes my face look more alive. Bronzer plus mascara plus the same color on lips and cheeks = happy me

Just got back from my first away trip since February 2020! I took a 4 day trip to visit a friend. I packed light makeup and mini’s since it was a casual visit, going to be very hot, and I was going to be wearing a mask a lot. Threw in a mini Laura mercier tinted moisturizer, glossier stretch concealer, a rare beauty compact cream blush, a brow gel and mascara, and a mini laura mercier cream eyeshadow stick. It was fun to make myself have to just pick a few things and stick to them! Have SAFE travels!!!

Not traveling but I keep a small edit of products at work since I commute by train and wear a mask. Also keep some makeup wipes to take office for the trip home. Only once a week but it's my most made-up each week.

Ahhh..love this series on travel makeup bag! I recently had a work trip (that i had to work outdoor in scorching heat) and weekend getaway with my families. I realized, I tend to bring the same items - Bobbi Brown primer with SPF50, MAC Studio Fix powder foundation (I used brush to apply it), Nars Deep Throat powder blush and MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick. After pandemic, I am trying to get my make up to be updated 😆..I always wait for your new video. Have fun on your trip!

Omg! The first time I went out on a a trip after the "unlocking" happened in India i packed so much makeup in terms of lips and eyes options and realised I hardly used any... Now.... I pack really light and have fairly streamlined to about 6-7 products in total 💕

I just travelled and packed dior backstage and body foundation, WA bronzer stick, by terry cc liquid blush (god i wish this wasnt limited edition)
Chanel concealer, tom ford peach cream shadow with the glitter on top....this is really good because you dont need many eye shadow brushes.
These products were perfect and can take a beating in my suitcase!

i have recently been loving the milk spray primer - it makes my skin look so nice and it really does help it stay on my face, even with mask wearing!

Greetings! Glad you are going on a trip. As an old lady of 56 I find my travel makeup needs are very few, as I rarely go anywhere that calls for it. Most recent trip was a midweek jaunt to a very small and casual beach town for biking with my husband, with nice dinners to watch a favorite band play. Contents of the Bag o'Tricks were as follows: Neutrogena sunscreen (still got burnt 🙁), Nyx brown eye liner pencil, a Blushed Nudes pallette, Benefit Magnet mascara in black, a Nudestix lip color in a brownish rose, and Portland Bee Balm from a local maker that I have just loved as my nightly lip treatment. We are beach trip or camping people, mostly, and I never travel for work, so I keep it simple. Why apply it when we are just going to sweat it off on a hike or ride?

Since I’m going to a Norwegian cruise trip late next month-early October, I had to see my fave lady here on You Tube, which is you, to see how you will do your make-up travel kit. However, of course I have got to make sure my family and I will bring the necessities to the plane, the ship, staying safe with this Covid 19 pandemic still going on. Have a safe and happy trip!

For me, aside from multi-purpose creams/sticks/tints, def cushion foundations! Very compact & super convenient for touch-ups. Self-made rule for when I travel: If I can apply it w/ my fingers (or if it comes w/ its own applicator) & can fit in the travel makeup bag, it's going w/ me. 😆 I only own a few basic brushes but I still try to avoid bringing them unless I really need to.

Hi Matilda, love this updated video. The only change I've made is that I stopped carrying mascara because I usually use waterproof formulas and will need to carry makeup remover just to take it off. Otherwise, I usually tend to just carry my ABH brow pencil, my Maybelline eyeliner, a red & brown lipstick as well as a cream blush.
I love these types of videos! I’m aiming for my whole collection to be small enough to be a travel minimalistic collection.

Bareminerals bare pro concealer as for my regular concealer and also as foundation, Pat McGrath powder, Maybelline Sky High mascara, Nyx brow gel, Nudestix blush in Sunset Strip and a tinted lip balm are my trustable staples every time I travel

Chanel No. 1 foundation is my absolute favorite. The Guerlain Precious Light pen is also a great substitute for the Chanel concealer pen. ❤️

Just got home from a work trip to Lake Tahoe! No fun nights out so I just kept to the super basics for this one. Typology concealer, nice coverage but super lightweight and blendable. VBB Cheeky Posh in Miniskirt, my ultimate blush color. When I blend this in it’s identical to the color my skin goes when it flushes. Kevyn Aucoin Feather Brow Duo, love the gel end of this but the brow pen isn’t my favorite… it’s too sheer for the strokes to read as “hairs” so it’s more of a soft shadow on the brow, which was fine for a short work trip. Lastly my VBB Bitten Lip Tint in Amour, my everyday my lips but better stain. A barely there edit of my essential bits.

I did my first overseas trip (Sydney to London) in 2.5 years recently. I packed very similar products - mostly sticks as I didn’t want to faff with brushes and liquids nor stick my fingers in pots 🤢
LM caviar stick in caramel is MLBB (lids, to be clear 😂) and I also took two VB blushers. I also like the Nudestix because the wee tins come with sharpener and mirror on the inside of the lid. Have a great trip!

Aww, great video. I miss my Chanel Le Teint Velvet . For travel the small compact black bottle was indestructible. For now, i use the new nice and small bottle of les beige water fresh complexion touch. It's a lovey small bottle. Add a concelear ( chanel or nars pot) and a blush stick ( nude sticks in sunkissed). Where i have trouble is in lipstick deartment. I love variety and i have tons of formulas i love. For my next trip i will just get my new sheer red for lisa, a chanel lip balm and a nars dragon girl

I made the mistake of taking CT's Flawless Filter, for part of my summer minimal base, but found that it did leak some into my makeup bag. Thankfully I was traveling by car and was able to put it upright in my purse, after cleaning the mess. Are there alternative products in a stick form that can do the same kind of filtering?
I'm going to visit my sister in Knoxville TN on September 20th I won't be bringing to many toiletry items as she has extra shampoo and conditioner. I am also going to Hawaii this November so this video will come in handy when packing.

As I’ve seen in other video I know that you are not a fan of foundation but have you tried the viral Charlotte tilbury dupe by elf. Everyone is going nuts about it. In the uk (where I live) its only available in 2 stores. And I’m thinking if I should get my hands on it
I haven't unfortunately - I like Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter but we don't have the full Elf range in Australia so sadly I can't compare them ✨ x

I've never filmed an original Haircare Travel Bag, I don't have much to share! 😂 I always keep that category very minimal when I'm packing - just a Tangle Teezer brush, some Klorane dry shampoo, and a travel mini shampoo and conditioner x
