Nice video. I am a frequent business traveler. I am also a former MUA. So, I love makeup. I have learned to pack strategically. I only pack basic skincare in travel sizes, foundation in a tube, concealer, a small face palette in colors that work for both eyes and face and includes a face powder, eye liner, mascara, a lip liner, a sheer lipstick, and a small finishing spray.
I've been a frequent traveler for years - business, pleasure & family. Unless I have a special event like a wedding, I am a super minimalist packer. I thought your selections were great. My favorite make-up item for travel is a special edition trio palette that Hourglass does usually with the Nordstrom sale. It always sells out. It has a finishing powder, bronzer, and blush. I'm on my third one.
I adore your sweet videos Lisa.. I had the Angie Hot n Flashy eyeshadow brushes... last night ordered several additional brushes... some from Nikki's, Angie's & your original line!👏🏻🎉😁 It was such an awesome feeling when I received an email stating that BK Beauty was donating to the The Kindness Campaign, on my behalf because of my purchase!!❤🫶🏼🥰🫶🏼❤️ Lisa J, I'll forever value your products & you'll be in my heart. You Are A Gem!!💜👑🙏🏻 You, your hubby & company are MOST DEFINITELY MAKING THIS WORLD A MORE BEAUTIFUL PLACE!!🌎💙💐 Thank you, for being who you are...😘😘😘
I'm headed to Montana this week to go skiing, so tis video was perfect timing not to overpack! I bought ALL the Merit recently and love the shearness and minimalistc look at my age (60).
Same here ❤ it’s my go to foundation when traveling! It feels so light but yet has enough tint/coverage & SPF 50. I never wear anything less than SPF 50, especially on my face.
Thanks Lisa! My favorite is the tinted moisturizer sunscreen by DRMTLGY. It’s very similar to the tinted Elta MD but much more affordable. DRMTLGY always has sales throughout the year, so I never spend more that $25 on this sunscreen and it’s absolutely beautiful! Hope this helps! 😊
Paula‘s Choice has a tinted spf, too. Very nice product, even has some coverage, light but pretty. Super light daily wrinkle Defence ❤ Jessica Braun recommend that years ago and she was right.
Hi Lisa, Just wanted to say today is literally the best I have ever done my makeup. This is credited to stumbling across your channel thru the collaborations you have done with other beauty channels. You are the best teacher and that is saying a lot as I have been following lots of make up channels. New subbie here ❤❤❤

I do the same thing and I drive myself nuts. I have wanted to pair way down so this video has been very helpful. Bonus: I already have the two Merit eyeshadows and had the complexion stick in my cart.
That was really a great video. I just got back from Mexico and I’m trying to really look at what I used as opposed to what just went along for the ride and I thought I would use. I always over pack for makeup 💄…..I guess it’s the idea of having options and then you take the whole kit and caboodle! lol. Going to Hawaii next year and I will definitely give this idea a go. I have the Sephora travel bag….its a great measure for what the boundaries are for the carryon situation. Always love these tips!
Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Pure Mineral Relief Daily Sunscreen is incredible under makeup. I apply that then D'alba White Truffle Spray and my makeup doesn't move ALL day and it doesn't settle into my age 50+ lines and wrinkles. The only sweat proof no flake mascara I'll use now is Caliray tubing. Most are recommendations from Angie H&F.
Lisa-this was my favorite video yet! Such a gorgeous natural look for my upcoming summer travel! Do you know when the next Merit sale will be? Thank YOU for a gorgeous look!!!
Paula's Choice has a lovely tinted spf/ primer that evens out the skin beautifully and has worked under every foundation I've tried. For those with oily skin, Australian Gold has a fantastic mattifying spf BB cream that comes in at least four different shades, and it's very affordable.
Thank you so much for the Alastin tip, Lisa! It's impossible to get in the UK, but so incredibly good that I'd ship it over from the US now because it became my must have!
Love Merit. Thanks for this - I’m such an overpacker on makeup but never use it, so this was a great lesson on editing for a classy look that’s also versatile.
I just got back from a week long trip out west and I wish this video was up earlier lol. I was so off with all I packed🫣. Way to many different products because I couldn’t decide, forgot certain things like my eyebrow pencil ! The next time I travel in a month Iv GOT to keep it simple!
I’m so glad that you’re working with Merit! I have the foundation stick and it makes my dry mature skin so velvety! I have most of their products. The lipstick formulas are my most favorite lippies! I do have a question for you. I have not used their eyeshadow yet. How do they fare on dry crepey lids? I use a lot of Viseart shadow as the formulas are so forgiving. Thanks again Lisa! ❤❤❤
Hi Jan! They are one of the more silky cream shadow formulas so I would assume they will work well on drier textured eyelids? I love MAC paintpots too but I hear from some they are too drying. Merit's are definitely silkier
Great video, I’ve never tried Merit, definitely picking up that blush! I think your natural brows are great, don’t be too hard on yourself ❤. I love the Tula tinted mineral sunscreen. ❤❤❤
I always love your comments and your tips! I also love to see what nail color your currently wearing! (silly?) Any chance you might add the current color to the bottom of your screen? I'm usually at a loss as to what to wear for the season and what it looks like in person. Thank you!
Lisa, I love your videos!! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into them. . . It does not go unnoticed. 😍 I would love to gift myself the BK Beauty Nikki LaRose brush set for my April birthday. I am really hoping they come back in stock ASAP! Please give me some good news about them. ❤🤞🏼😍 Thanks, Lisa.
I’d love to get that little bag, but I can’t stand the feel of corduroy…crazy, right?! 😂 Thanks for a great video…always looking for ways to streamline packing. Have a fantastic weekend, Lisa!!
Beautiful look. I've tried Meritt but not too fond of the foundation stick to be honest. Maybe I should try the blush. I use SPF Naturium SPF 50 and Dermatology tinted sunscreen. They are fantasti too.
I use Japonesque its an 8 pan container for lipsticks. I cut off the top of my lipsticks and place in each pan. That way I have different colors without taking alot of lip tubes
Hi Lisa. You always teach so many good tips and tricks. Just curious have you ever tried makeup from juvias? I love their eyeshadow. My go too has been coffee palette. But if I want color I have many of their palettes to choose from
I am saving my money to buy one of each of the merit products. Every video I see it looks so beautiful? I am 57 , and have lots of problems with powder products either drying me out, caking or be irritating with fragrances.
I'm so bummed about the price of Alastin. It's my favorite SPF. The tint and coverage is perfect for me! I'm almost finished with my tube and I really don't want to change. I've used Elta MD in the past. Its tint is much lighter than Alastin as well as the coverage. It's price has increased too!
Thanks Lisa! This is a great video! I’m currently planning a trip and your suggestions are much needed! I’m going to buy some Merit products! Also, where did you buy your necklace?
Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate you taking the time to respond and to also share your necklace information! It’s so beautiful! ❤ Austin area jewelers are the best. Colorscience Flex SPF50 tinted sunscreen. I mix shades light and medium. Excellent product recommended by dermatologist and UA-camr Dr. Sam Ellis in CA. A bit pricey but worth it.

Supergoop tinted SPF is awesome! It comes in several shades and wears really well!

Good to know! I just received an email about those and want to try them.
