I saw her perform in L.A. in the late 90's at that Sunset street festival they used to have in Silver Lake, and she was introduced by none other than you, Claudette Robinson. As a huge Motown fan, it was a thrill just to be in the same vicinity as not one, but two legendary Motown ladies!

Wow, it was so nice to run across this video of you Mrs. Robinson. I met you back in 1984 when your friend, my aunt, Mrs. Annette Butler took me to your house after picking me up from being discharged from the Marine Corps. I sat in awe of hour beauty and spirit. You were so very warm and kind and shared with me your memories of being a WM. I'd joke after that with my aunt that you were my girlfriend, lol. I met you again at her and my uncle Jerrys 50th wedding anniversary party and I got a picture of You, me and Mrs. Helen Mayfield. I still have that picture and cherish it. I can still hear my late aunts voice saying, "hey Claude!". She really enjoyed her friendship with you.
I just wanted to share and reminisce because seeing you reminds me of her and I miss her sooooo much. I'm glad you're doing and looking well. Take care.

I feel you and your expression of love for Queen Mary Wilson... I'm proud to have been her director in a play she stepped in and showed so much love. And every time I would see her performances in clubs here in NYC, she would always introduce me.... I keep listening to her sing that tune "When October Goes" and remember her telling me it was her favorite ballad to sing at that time... I've been thinking of singing it and saying When Mary Goes!

Mary will be missed, but she is always with us. She and Claudette represented the innocence and chastity of that time, and love them both dearly! Something you don't find anymore in black music. Claudette was always my secret Miracle, and I listen for her voice, which blended in so well with the other singers. I especially love her in "Can You Love A Poor Boy" on the "From the Beginning" LP. I am pretty sure she is the strongest singer in the background and gives the song a sweetness and passion rarely found in such an amazing combination. It is said that Don't Mess with Bill was written by her and/or for her because of the women around Smokey. (Tid-bit).
