Who would be seen right of the spectrum when he'd hold a seat over here in the Netherlands ;) I love his fights all the decades. It's a shame last time around it had to be Biden because the US isn't ready (yet) for Sanders and his stances. But maybe it's good as it is. When people in the future eventually will move that way, they can look into all his ideas and propals. Rather then Bernie having been president. I asked ChatGTP what party he would align with most in the Dutch Senate and in the Dutch Lower House, will post that as a reply. Otherwise the comment will get too long.

America was kind of at its peak in the 50's, after World War Two..sadly I suppose. But it is worth recalling that then a households with one person working could support a family, afford a house, TV, car etc......Bernie is fighting for us all to prosper..not just the CEOs!!! Go Bernie!!
Dave Bartosh: In the 50's women were suppressed, minorities were suppressed and those households of one worker were rarely run by black men. Black women put kids through college on wages from cleaning houses and other menial jobs. Yes, there were other minorities that for one reason or another were able to prosper, but they were not the norm.

The average house back then was 1,300 sq ft 3 bedroom, one bath with a ONE car garage (because most families only owned one car). Most families only had ONE TV set that only picked up 3 channels (on a good day). People back then hardly ever went out to eat -- unless it was a special occasion. Hand-me-down clothing was the norm for younger siblings. Kids rarely got their own rooms and were expected to share a room with one or more siblings. Vacations were rare and usually involved piling everyone into the family car and going to visit relatives.
You need to look at the whole picture before you wax nostalgic.

I've been following his public service ever since he was elected Mayor of Burlington Vermont, then his time in the U.S. House of Representatives & then ever since he's been in the U.S. Senate too.
He's the best... however in 2016 rigged it so he didn't get the nomination & 2020 the top 1% prevented Bernie from getting the nomination as well.

Absolutely, agree with Sen. Sander's speech we live in a world where multi- billion companies are getting incentives from the people's hard earned taxes, and they don't pitch with nothing to better our quality of life. It's time to create a basic income incentive directed to low income families. Why they aren't fitting the bill now when we have been carrying their water for such a long time. However, you only hear them saying that they need more incentives, and subsides like the oil and gas companies raking billions annually while we the people can't even afford to buy beef at the supermarket. Isn't time for those corporations to pay us back with living incentives that can be use to feed our families. Didn't they receive enough from us already?
