14 days in the most remote ocean of the world, 10.000km of racing, a damaged sail, a destroyed sail and a mast that was majorly damaged and repaired. And here we are, racing at visual distance as if its the bay of cape town again. Amazing racing!
Wahnsinnsgeschichte. Wie sie über den riesigen Ozean rauschen und dann auch noch in Sichtweite zu einem weiteren Segelteam. Ich bewundere das Malizia Team. Hartes Rennen und sie sind immer in guter Stimmung. Einfach Klasse👍👍👍❤

This is where Malizia should be, what Boris and his team built Malizia for. THE SOUTHERN OCEAN! And Malizia is really fast and seems to be comfortable. Impressive!

My deepest Respect for all Teams in that Race and the spirit between the "combatants" which on land are all friends. It is nice to see that the choice of not retire was one of the best decisions you've made. My heard is with you to gain at least four points

Amazing, after nearly 6,000 nautical miles, both Team Malizia and 11th Hour Racing can be so close. It reminds me of NASCAR racing, where the winner usually avoids accidents and mechanical problems to eventually become the winner. With mast problems, sail tears, rudder delamination, etc they are racing for the first point gate. Wishing all success both design wise, mechanical problem wise and of course the knowledge of seamanship and weather with sailing talent. Amazing, truly gifted individuals.
Mann, ist das ein spannendes Rennen, Malizia fliegt zur Zwischenwertung. Die beiden Boote sind ja ziemlich dicht zusammen. Gilt auf See auch die Regel „rechts vor links“. 🤣🤣🤣 oder ist das Schneiden nach Überholvorgang😂😂. Alles Gute für die Crew, bei den Dialogen könnt ich mich immer wegschmeißen vor Lachen. in diesem Fall (beide Boote kriegen den Wind von der gleichen Seite) hat das Boot das weiter in Lee ist Vorfahrt (also das Boot, das "weiter weg" vom Wind ist). Allerdings muss das überholende Boot während dem Überholvorgang dem anderen Vorfahrt gewähren, wenn es nicht von Lee kommt
Lee hin oder her. Der Überholer muss sich freihalten vom zu Überholenden.

Interesting given Nico's penchant to hold the windward position in these tactics in the closing moments it looked like 11th hour were trying to steal the windgauge but im suee Nico and team have the matter in hand while making sure vmg to intermediate line is optimum
