- TEAM MALIZIA CROSS THE SCORING GATE IN SECOND PLACE GAINING THEM 4 POINTS DURING LEG 3 OF THE OCEAN RACE. The fight is now on to reach the finishing line in Itajai Brazil.

Was für ein episches Rennen, ich habe das Finish auf dem Tracker bis gegen 01.00 Uhr in meinem Bett verfolgt. So eine Spannung, unglaublich. Herzlichen Glückwunsch an die gesamte Crew für die Plazierung nach eurem enormen Kampf gegen 11 Hour und danke für das zahlreiche Filmmaterial. Man bekommt alles hautnah mit. Einfach grandios. Und nochmal einen ganz herzlichen Dank an den coolen Antoine, der das ganze aufnimmt und für uns zurechtschneidet.👏👏👏🥰🍀⛵️
Carsten Kappey das ging mir genauso , konnte nicht schlafen, bevor sie über der Linie waren✌🏼

Team Malizia on the tracker seems to be just as fast as PRB but chipping away at the nautical miles. Hopefully the boat's special bow will enable faster recovery and more speed to pull even and ahead of PRB. Go Team Malizia!!!!
Cape *Leeuwin is two states away from the scoring longitude, I think Will’s smile will start from the scoring longitude.

What a great performance! But for me the Oscar goes to Antoine, being director, camera man and cutter in a half-flying washing machine somewhere around Antarctica is truly amazing. Thanks for all the videos, pictures and emotions!

Since I'm too impatient to wait for the videos, I'm now officially permanently glued to the race Tracker!
In the past 24 hours I must have spent more time looking at the little icons on the screen, checking out winds, measuring distances to the gate and other boats, than anything else.
(I even have setup alarms to wake me up several times in the middle of the night to check your progress toward the gate!)

This is SUCH a fantastic video. Bloody stoked for the whole team. The contrast in emotions from the downs with the mast pre-repairs, to the ups of the rum celebration here are so cool. The tears in Boris' eyes as he put his woolen jersey on when the mast was broken spoke volumes. Seeing him sming now is marvellous.
Well done to all of the crew on board - you've all been astonishing. What a team! And everyone in the wider team too. Congratulations.

Great to see everyone onboard and onshore celebrating 2nd place. Hard fought race by 3 boats over 3 days. Now another 3 weeks racing to Brazil.
Good to let some steam off, celebrate interim victories. Some look tired. Breaking Malizia's records 572/5 miles in 24 hrs. Sailing at 22 to 25 knots. Proving out the hull/bow design. Well done.

I am happy for Team Maliza --- Boris has this perfect way of speaking to the Malizia Fan Base! --- This is very unusual for a German but perfection for a skipper/captain, and is actually the next best thing to sliced bread. After assimilation of the information/news via Boris, along comes Rosie, which is even more unusual for a Nederlander to communicate, but she does a perfect job to convey the conditions or environment on the yacht. ---- Then comes William who conveys the true nitty-gritty environment (hopes, dreams and wishes). ----- BUT don’t underestimate the genius of Nicolas! ---- I would happily navigate the seas of Hades, if he could be my navigator! - 😬🥺
And don't forget Antoine, who always pulls out his camera at the best moments and captures the atmosphere in the team.

What a fully deserved result for a Team Malizia. I was glued to the tracker all day until you crossed the line. It was great to see you all celebrating The onboard reporting is second to none. Antoine is doing a fantastic job in every respect, from the drone footage to the questions he asks team members. I've been a Mazilian since the last vendee globe simply because the onboard reporting was the best even when Boris was solo. Thank you so much for taking us along for the ride. Stay Safe.
How exciting for the team, all of you. The overall 'scow' bow design is being validated. The team repairs, while very sad to have happened, shows their courage. OBR Antoine questioning of the team is a treat - I don't see this on the other boats. But to the engineering design team, the number of failures must be deeply considered for future legs and races.
Who would have expected this result after all the struggle the had? Great job. Let the passion live on.

Tremendous. Remember a few days ago when the tear in the mast was discovered and the teamwork done since to get you where you are. You guy’s laminated the top of your mast in the middle of the Southern Ocean. Don’t know who’s done that before.
