Rate Coefficient and Classification of Elementary Reactions

The lecture starts by discussing the Arrhenius Rate equation briefly and solving a simple problem on determing pre-exponential factor "A" and apparent activation energy "E" from measured values of reaction rate coefficients as a function of temperature. The lecture then discusses the classification of elementary reactions with examples.
