Same - i kept thinking - there are only TWO options in that position, move the Queen or take the bishop, Patrick HAS to consider taking the bishop, but nope, he didn't even look at it 🤣
When you went down material you activated the pieces that hadn’t moved and got back into the game. I think your opponent relaxed a bit after that fork and allowed you the initiative. Interesting game!
Fun game. Nice to see some back to back wins. I will still emphasize the need to improve your overall game if you want to move beyond your current plateau. You are likely to bounce between 1450 and 1550 with your current level of gameplay.
Bishop g1 after the rook sacrifice is an insane move and I feel that it would be incredibly hard to find with 2 minutes on your clock. Very counter intuitive. But the rook sacrifice also works with the knight check you had previously planned (nf2+).
Great game, Patrick! Falling behind but keeping composure to stay in the game shows improvement. Think back to approximately day 100 when something bad would happen and you’d have to take 20 seconds to mentally recover, you’ve learned to overcome that and keep going. The progress may not be in the ELO number, but it’s showing when you do a comparison of where you once were. Consistency is the next hurdle to clear!
after bishop e1 attacking ur queen maybe you should've considered Rxe1? you could have then played your original plan Nf2, winning white's queen. maybe i'm mistaken tho idk
Well, he does. He stockpiles a bunch of games in a single session and spreads the uploads over multiple days. You can check the account to confirm this. Perfectly understandable in my opinion, I'd do the exact same thing. I'm sure he doesn't have time for chess every day. It makes the titles somewhat misleading, but I don't think that's that big a deal.
@@timdegoeij452 Also I feel it changes how he plays individual games, because if he played one game each day, that would make more interesting video, because learnings from last game somewhat consolidate in the mind, and also it would lead to him playing more creatively, whereas if you just play one game after another, it is different, pro being you get into chess playing headspace and con being your brain is tired; my personal preference would be that he played one game each day and maybe increase the time control to 15 minutes, so there would be more time to think and improve his chess
I’m flabbergasted at the fact that you think your preference should control his life and schedule. The man has other responsibilities and a family. Just enjoy the content he provides, goodness knows he goes through some grief to do so.
@@christyler6234 I just suggested it from a viewer's perspective, he makes videos for us to watch, so as a viewer what's the problem in pointing out what I would like to watch; I never forced anything on him, it's his free will what he wants to do.
23:56 I struggle to understand how you still don't really know how to use the analysis tool after playing for as long as you have. If the evaluation number shows white is slightly better, obviously this knight move is not gonna win the game, nor the queen, for black. You leave this part of the analysis thinking you've learned a tactical motif that is crushing, but in reality you haven't. White can just play Qd1 and the game continues with white being slightly better. You often miss what educational value the analysis has to offer because of your misuse of the analysis tool. With this been said, a short but interesting game that had some cool tactics in the position. Some well needed w's, well done. :)
That is so true. Back in the day there was nothing like this computer tutor analysis for an aspiring player and now everyone has it as a free gift. So take advantage. Pay attention to it, NOT superficially, and learn!! What could be easier? Especially look at where there are big jumps in the eval.
You obviously don’t watch the Nelson Lopez streams…. He always plays this Bc4 line against the Caro Kann and he wins a lot with it against 2300+ players. Your opponent knew the opening moves but didn’t understand the follow up of the line.
Why do a channel, of play a rapid game every day. Do a video without doing a review and tell us what you are learning on a chess course, or do puzzles. Or how about study classic games. As you don't improve at chess just playing games, especially not fast games, as many subs have been saying
I found myself screaming at my screen "Duuuudeee taaaake the bishooop!" :)))))

Me too lol
Ugh it seems so obvious now
Levy was shooting "the rrrrooooookkkkkkk"

absolutely brilliant finding qg3 and ng4. well done
unfortunate you fell for that trap, but you made a comeback nice win!

You could have captured his bishop with your rook at 14:29 and then you could have won his queen
Yes dude that's what I was looking at. There's a reason his opponent took so long to make that move because he probably saw it too
Rook takes bishop, say either rook or queen captures back, then you have check with the knight. White has no choice but to capture with the queen.
13:15 Am I mistaking here... Be1 Rxe1 and follow with Nf2+ winning the queen? Why are you talking about retreating with your queen?

Nice way to get out of that jam! Good find!
Nice mate Patrick! Regards, TheBeanCloud 😀 hopefully you will find your winning streak again
What a comeback! I learned from this video that the best defence is attack!
Have you noticed the your losing streak in rapid started after you quit playing blitz? Just occured to me.

premature comment, i just watched the review!
Bg1 is an insane move, even better than Nf2 😮
Good job Pat!

It comes off as audacious and really rather pompous.
What a bonkers position
I have thirteen of those notifications right now. Great win after losing that bishop. Tenacity!!!
Thanks Hunter!!
Woo, Patrick! You'll be back on top in no time! :D
well played!
Youre not the only one who those notifications;)
Well done
Can you see if anyone calls the knight the evil knight
Nice win today Patrick1
