I would do 2 rows of sc first then start the pattern. It would make the bottom neater!

Charlie’s Angels Kim sure I’ve seen a sizing chart for various types of blankets, but not sure where. Could be Pinterest, but if you google it you should find one, or try Attic24, where Lucy usually gives alternative stitch counts for different projects on her blanket patterns, which are listed on the left-hand side of the page if you scroll down.
