Today I got a screen which asked me what type of game mode I liked the most, there was BR, Survival maps, RP maps, Rocket Racing etc. you name it. But not fucking Save The World.
I can never understand why Epic wanted to exclude STW when they literally have a bigger and more stable player base as compared to newer modes like rocket racing. The whole thing is just sad rn 😢
At first I only buied STW for the V-Bucks … but it got me so off guard. STW is the only reason I keep playing FN and it hurts that Epic isn‘t paying lot of attention to this fantastic game mode. All my friends play BR only and always blame me that im playing STW and Not with them. But every Time when they are salty and Start screaming cause they lost Im just smiling and tell them how beautifull and relaxing STW is and that they should give it a try. I hope I can turn them so we can play this fantastic game together.

Exactly. And they must clearly see that STW is played even more than the Rocket Racing, Festival and the other nonsense game modes without any fame. Even the Lego isn't played as much as STW. Lego raised its numbers just because of an XP glitch and that's it. Now it's falling down again. I really don't understand Epic. Are they that dumb? Don't they cleary see, what players play and what don't? STW has the potential of saving the whole game, as it is the core gamemode. Fortnite isn't what it was back then and that's the thing. STW is in it's beautiful classic era the whole time and that's, what Epic doesn't like about it. But this is literally the element, what could save the whole game. Epic just needs to have smart people in their team, not just dumb clowns, who just wants every single collab in the world, thinking that it is the best thing for the game. And it's not at all, collabs were the biggest mistake ever and the game serves to be an adverstising system for those collabs. It's not a fashion show, a TV, strip club (Ice Spice in a game mainly focused for children? Really?), it's a game!

This is how I personally feel about this. I only know and play STW 24/7. That’s it. I could care less about XP because I don’t play any other game modes. However, we all would like them to get their stuff together and put some effort in the game. If STW was to go, I don’t know what else to play. Because again all I know is STW. It only took me 1yr and a half to get to PL136.5 and have X amount of resources
As someone who dabbles in both battle royale and save the world i couldnt agree more, especially with the money and effort being spent into lego, rocket racing and festival even though the player count is lower then the save the world player count whenever i look. There’s still so much potential with save the world and even if it doesn’t get updates i still enjoy playing it.
While I really want STW to get some more content. I do NOT want them to update the graphics or UI. The BR UI sucks and I think this old one that we have in STW fits so much more for the theme and style of game.
I agree with everything you said bro, i quit save the world about 2 years ago, i came back to see only minor changes, more movment and some animals, bearly new weapons, and bearly new heros, even though epic games has the money and devs to completely revive save the world and maybe make it like dead by daylight (great game by the way) with new maps with new movement and new zombie faces, and make it scarier in general, but i guess they hate money

I actually started on BR but also like you, I hate the speed of builders and went more to playing STW. I say the same about how we are forgotten by Epic. I really like Save the World, my account is not even a founder's account, to improve the game they should fix the bugs, in the adventures increase the rewards after level 50, but to give a bigger increase in Save the World, they could sell a package for those who are not founders to become one and earn vbucks too, people would start playing more.
I got STW recently during the Remix season, that zombie penny bundle. I had no expectations, didn’t look anything up and just jumped right in. Loved it so much I played it right through the night and went to work with 0 sleep 😂 I did notice how outdated the mode is tho, like when I first went to the llama shop, I genuinely chuckled bc it felt like 2012 again! It was rather disappointing to learn that STW was ‘completed’ in 2018 and to not expect anymore big updates or anything. But even more disappointing is that they still SELL save the world in bundles. U look at all the other modes that are all free, all regularly updated and it cost nothing. But the only paid mode, that they are still selling, is locked in time with miniscule updates. And it is such a shame too! I dislike Fortnite’s BR, the only time I jump into that is to do my quests for my BP (I wish I could do the quests in ANY other mode) but I do enjoy the other modes! Until I picked up STW, festival was my main mode. I have not played anything except STW since I got it so I guess festival is 2nd place now (I’ve never sacrificed sleep for festival) That xp exclusion of STW tho was pretty funny, my brother sent a screenshot of it and said “U curse everything u touch bro” 😂 so now while I continue my campaign (I’m in canny valley atm) I don’t know the entire history of epic and STW but I do hope they reconsider and give the mode another shot! A STW remake or idk a F2P Save the World 2? One can dream 😌
i think i know why save the world was never finnished, or rather why it got update at all after battle royal became a thing. STW team from the start was fighting an uphill battle. when BR first started save the world and battle royal had the same teams because they respected both modes equally, durring this time they thought to bring hype to save the world they needed focus their effort into events, like the crash landing event for exmaple. usually these events carry assets and content for both modes for efficiency. if you notice when they added a desert to BR map that’s when development for canny valley was being done because they where able to focus on both at the same time due to sharing the assets for both games. however once we got to around season 8 that’s when epic had shifted their priorities. the initial plan for save the world was to develop it further when it was convent but never make it a focus. when season 8 happen something changed, they realized that what they had envision for twine and the rest of the story was gonna need dedicated development time for save the world, for which they cannot have. so they added what they can. “pirate” zones or islands because twine had a tropical feel right. but this was about it for twine development because the rest needed very specific stuff, for example another planned zone was “spectral cliffs” which is where the unreleased item spectral ore gets its name. this had a very unique look and needed dedicated dev time to make along side with a lot of other things like story and quest lines. by this time epic has already shifted their efforts to BR so faced with this problem, Epic decided to just stop it there. make it grindy as possible with things like ventures and instead of going with their old plan with the star system they just made super chargers, now here we are today. with little to no content updates and an “unfinished game”. do get me wrong the devs do what they can to add more content but if they actually are trying to finnish twine in the background it will dead ass take several years for them todo that, just to add the biomes btw not the quest lines. it’s a sad tale it really is, but if BR was never made let’s face it save the world would have been less popular and probably still not finished lol. eventually i think they can make a quest line. actual new zones tho is a big maybe because that takes work however they are more then able to hire voice actors and make new fetch quests lol
I was a founder but I stopped playing because of the drama that the B.R. brought into the game. They really abandoned the story mode? Is that a turret trap?! That's cool. The last time that I downloaded it, I couldn't find how to get to save the world, so I deleted the game completely. Months later a coworker told me that the game mode shortcut was hidden deep in the mess of the menu screen. It's sad that a very amazing game was pushed aside and almost thrown away by such a greedy game company. I will try it again, I never completed the last zone because all of it was unfinished.
As someone who just started playing stw I really wish Epic would at least act like it exists. I would’ve played it a lot sooner if they had but I legit thought it was just hoard mode for years
I been saying it for years the devs don't want me, you or anyone playing any other game mode especially STW. The just want us all to play BR. I stopped playing the BR long time ago it's not fun going against toxic tryhards every match.
they can update the whole game, there are so many things they can do. more missions, boss fights, harder missions, a new world with new features and zombies, challenges. but the question for epic is: is it worth it? and i guess its not, otherwise epic would have made changes long ago
Excellent video. The community has been saying these things for a long time. I especially liked what you said about monetization. Alot of streamers, myself included, have been saying the same thing for years. That is the number 1 argument people give as to why STW doesn't get the attention it deserves because BR brings in all of the money. The problem is that they stopped trying to monetize the STW side of the game. I have personally given many ways in which they could monetize the STW side of the game. i randomly came across this channel today and i have to say i fully agree with everything you i was 15 and started save the world during season 3 the very first time they announced the chinese new year event with all the dragon weapons and soon after it was the neon weapons and the updates were really consistent and that got me hooked onto stw bc of how unique the game was aside from BR which honestly felt repetitive to me and stw was on a good path till season 10 when they'd announced stw would become "free" and not long after i guess the dev team for stw i guess got cut short and many of the stw staff left the development for stw one of my fav stw youtubers demonjoefrance quit cz of that reason. now im 21 and i dont rlly play as much cz of work and also i feel like stw gets boring now cz there's no (new) updates and its all old updates being repeated i honestly think stw would have been amazing game if we were promised what they said what was going to happen for the game but ofc epic is greedy as doesn't give two shits abt stw.
I've been playing Save The World and Battle Royale since Chapter 0 Season 3. Me and my friends always loved checking out the patch notes that released with the update, it felt like they really cared and were just eager to show and talkabout everything they changed and added, Save the World was included in these patches. Then it all was gone, now it seems they want to hide it more and more with every update.
STW is really cool because it’s Pve not Pvp, that makes it a chill game yet still has a grind to it. There’s so much they can do like add open world to it , more vehicles, and definitely bigger maps.
Actually, the reason why the “except save the world” is there, is because battle royale’s daily XP system was changed during chapter 6, and is completely different from the STW dailies, and changing dailies would be a bad decision cause yknow, vbucks and all

sad to see fortnite basically abondoning its parent(stw), i usually bought stw for battle pass exp and i got hooked on to it(not founders btw). They should make stw as important as the other game modes. it basically beats the player count of these new meta modes that forrtnite created. Idk not very convincing at least make huge updates every while or keep up with the modern framework (at least don't ruin it further..)
This is exactly what i have been thinking. Everything that made fortnite that much more special, they just got rid of it or changed it into something you don't recognize. We need epic games to listen for once.

Got back into Fortnite recently since my kids wanted to play. I started playing back in early access before battle royale was even a thing. Used to really enjoy STW. battle royale came out, fortnite blew the hell up and I couldn't understand why. Wasn't a fan of it at all.
STW doesn’t need much to really thrive. I think they need to do the following: 1: Change/improve the nearly IMPOSSIBLE (mainline) missions that require a google search to complete. I’ve spent an ungodly time just trying to unlock higher lever gear in the early game from these. 2. Add some monetization. “Save the world makes no money” then add ways to make profit of it! 3. Stop the XP crap. Most players won’t play it because it gives 9 levels a week now.
remember back then you could buy the upgraded founders packs to both get good items and support epic? Actually crazy that now this is practically nothing epic releases for stw to make profit like those old packs.
I started playing stw earlier this year (mainly for the vbucks from Founders) because I was low on vbucks so I was just gonna like do a few ssds and such to get vbucks, but in reality doing so made me fall in love with the gamemode, just about the only thing I play nowadays. It's just sad to see it suddenly take this route

They’re also bringing Storm King to Lego Fortnite. I’ve been playing stw since before BR came out and I will keep playing it I mainly just afk endurance for xp and Vbuck missions now and have done the new Hunt the Titan quest line but I still love stw.

I don't think you're wrong. I started playing at the end of the 3rd season of Battle Royale and I only played for Save the World, and I feel that frustration too. I also noticed that Save the World usually has the same number of players as the Lego mode, and that Save the World has potential. I also hated the Battle Royale mode because of the building mechanics and thought it was ridiculous how they delayed changes, like the emotes in Save the World. It seems like the developers hate Save the World mode and, if they could, they would delete it from the game
totally agree, instead of add something new or adding features only for stw players they just ignoring players that bought the only game mode that you should pay to play it, they could give skins or pick axes or any good features but all we get is ignorance

I got into fortnite battle royale before save the world, and bought save the world in season 2 so I can get vbucks to get the black knight skin. By season 3 I was in canny valley and I didn’t even have the worm emote from season 2, because I played save the world so much more. I didn’t care because at the time I couldn’t use skins in save the world, and you couldn’t level up the battle pass via save the world like you can now. But unfortunately I can never get black knight. And if I did, I could have used him in save the world now, or since 2021.
Nah FR! I said the same thing when I saw all of those passes. WHERE TF IS THE STW PASS?! Or at the very least allow founders to use skins anywhere we want, like they're just cosmetics 😒 epic stop making it seem like you're doing a lot of work. They already have the files in the game otherwise the skins wouldn't exist at all in STW so they can easily implement them.
A couple things I’d like to say 1. Do you think you could do a full settings update like graphics, controls, hud settings, 2. I do some what agree. I’m a founder in stw and I love it and have played it since 2018 however I’ve always been an on a off player mainly due to always having to solo queue or with randoms I wanna come back to the game but due to the low amount of players I can’t find a solid group to play with as it has always been a thing I wanted to do kinda like you did basically max out everything and now can have fun n stuff.. ik its a long show but if your down to play and stuff that would be fun
I'm so sad that Save the World has been slowly dying all this time. I remember pre-ordering Fortnite and playing it with my friends, and then Fortnite blew up because of a battle royale they decided to make. I was like, "That's not Fortnite" when I hear people talking about it and loving the battle royale. Sadly nowadays the only time I really get on Save the World are to do daily missions for V-bucks, and to do an Endurance for the battle passes. Ever since I 100% the achievements, Save the World is just a game mode to visit from time to time, since the only thing I can do to progress is the long grind for Superchargers. I am still hopeful that someday we can finally get a storyline for Twine Peaks to see how the story of Fortnite finishes off.
Just bring back the deluxe founder eidtions etc, not the fact that it gives the vbucks, but so people can buy the higher level editions to get the nocturno schematics and founder drum rolls and etc. Thatll make some money for them too and ungatekeep schematics

now here we are today. with little to no content updates and an “unfinished game”. do get me wrong the devs do what they can to add more content but if they actually are trying to finnish twine in the background it will dead ass take several years for them todo that, just to add the biomes btw not the quest lines.
it’s a sad tale it really is, but if BR was never made let’s face it save the world would have been less popular and probably still not finished lol.
eventually i think they can make a quest line. actual new zones tho is a big maybe because that takes work however they are more then able to hire voice actors and make new fetch quests lol

The last time that I downloaded it, I couldn't find how to get to save the world, so I deleted the game completely. Months later a coworker told me that the game mode shortcut was hidden deep in the mess of the menu screen. It's sad that a very amazing game was pushed aside and almost thrown away by such a greedy game company. I will try it again, I never completed the last zone because all of it was unfinished.

I love how they insta patch dupes and the one where you could place 3 traps on a build but when you couldnt select B.A.S.E from the trap selecter.
As someone who just started playing stw I really wish Epic would at least act like it exists. I would’ve played it a lot sooner if they had but I legit thought it was just hoard mode for years
I been saying it for years the devs don't want me, you or anyone playing any other game mode especially STW. The just want us all to play BR. I stopped playing the BR long time ago it's not fun going against toxic tryhards every match.
they can update the whole game, there are so many things they can do. more missions, boss fights, harder missions, a new world with new features and zombies, challenges. but the question for epic is: is it worth it? and i guess its not, otherwise epic would have made changes long ago

Excellent video. The community has been saying these things for a long time. I especially liked what you said about monetization. Alot of streamers, myself included, have been saying the same thing for years. That is the number 1 argument people give as to why STW doesn't get the attention it deserves because BR brings in all of the money. The problem is that they stopped trying to monetize the STW side of the game. I have personally given many ways in which they could monetize the STW side of the game. I have also heard many other great ideas about monetizing the STW side of the game. Thanks for this video. Keep saving the world my friend.
i randomly came across this channel today and i have to say i fully agree with everything you i was 15 and started save the world during season 3 the very first time they announced the chinese new year event with all the dragon weapons and soon after it was the neon weapons and the updates were really consistent and that got me hooked onto stw bc of how unique the game was aside from BR which honestly felt repetitive to me and stw was on a good path till season 10 when they'd announced stw would become "free" and not long after i guess the dev team for stw i guess got cut short and many of the stw staff left the development for stw one of my fav stw youtubers demonjoefrance quit cz of that reason. now im 21 and i dont rlly play as much cz of work and also i feel like stw gets boring now cz there's no (new) updates and its all old updates being repeated i honestly think stw would have been amazing game if we were promised what they said what was going to happen for the game but ofc epic is greedy as doesn't give two shits abt stw.
I've been playing Save The World and Battle Royale since Chapter 0 Season 3. Me and my friends always loved checking out the patch notes that released with the update, it felt like they really cared and were just eager to show and talkabout everything they changed and added, Save the World was included in these patches. Then it all was gone, now it seems they want to hide it more and more with every update.
STW is really cool because it’s Pve not Pvp, that makes it a chill game yet still has a grind to it. There’s so much they can do like add open world to it , more vehicles, and definitely bigger maps.
Actually, the reason why the “except save the world” is there, is because battle royale’s daily XP system was changed during chapter 6, and is completely different from the STW dailies, and changing dailies would be a bad decision cause yknow, vbucks and all
If fortnite is changing the xp, maybe they will start putting in free trials so that other people can try it and if they like it they can buy it

The truth is that Epic Games got burned by loot llamas lawsuit and they don't want anything to do with STW since, the timeline lines up check for yourself.
sad to see fortnite basically abondoning its parent(stw), i usually bought stw for battle pass exp and i got hooked on to it(not founders btw). They should make stw as important as the other game modes. it basically beats the player count of these new meta modes that forrtnite created. It should be important as the other modes and i really wish they continue the story(fingers crossed). stw is definetly a banger and they should make it f2p as well and make it as imp as the other modes. everybody knows what karma brings when they diss their parents ,hope fortnite takes notice of your video and bring some huge changes in stw.

This is exactly what i have been thinking. Everything that made fortnite that much more special, they just got rid of it or changed it into something you don't recognize. We need epic games to listen for once.

Fortnite Save The World is the main reason I play fortnite, at first I bought it for the vbucks but I got in love with every aspect of it, and the reason I play, I love so much this beautiful mode, the characters, the mechanics, it's humor, everything

Got back into Fortnite recently since my kids wanted to play. I started playing back in early access before battle royale was even a thing. Used to really enjoy STW. battle royale came out, fortnite blew the hell up and I couldn't understand why. Wasn't a fan of it at all.
STW doesn’t need much to really thrive. I think they need to do the following:
1: Change/improve the nearly IMPOSSIBLE (mainline) missions that require a google search to complete. I’ve spent an ungodly time just trying to unlock higher lever gear in the early game from these.
2. Add some monetization. “Save the world makes no money” then add ways to make profit of it!
3. Stop the XP crap. Most players won’t play it because it gives 9 levels a week now.

XP just got buffed again, if I read it correctly you can get 4 000 000 xp per week, about 50lvls
I started playing stw earlier this year (mainly for the vbucks from Founders) because I was low on vbucks so I was just gonna like do a few ssds and such to get vbucks, but in reality doing so made me fall in love with the gamemode, just about the only thing I play nowadays.
It's just sad to see it suddenly take this route

They’re also bringing Storm King to Lego Fortnite. I’ve been playing stw since before BR came out and I will keep playing it I mainly just afk endurance for xp and Vbuck missions now and have done the new Hunt the Titan quest line but I still love stw.

I don't think you're wrong. I started playing at the end of the 3rd season of Battle Royale and I only played for Save the World, and I feel that frustration too. I also noticed that Save the World usually has the same number of players as the Lego mode, and that Save the World has potential. I also hated the Battle Royale mode because of the building mechanics and thought it was ridiculous how they delayed changes, like the emotes in Save the World. It seems like the developers hate Save the World mode and, if they could, they would delete it from the game

totally agree, instead of add something new or adding features only for stw players they just ignoring players that bought the only game mode that you should pay to play it, they could give skins or pick axes or any good features but all we get is ignorance

I got into fortnite battle royale before save the world, and bought save the world in season 2 so I can get vbucks to get the black knight skin. By season 3 I was in canny valley and I didn’t even have the worm emote from season 2, because I played save the world so much more.
I didn’t care because at the time I couldn’t use skins in save the world, and you couldn’t level up the battle pass via save the world like you can now. But unfortunately I can never get black knight. And if I did, I could have used him in save the world now, or since 2021.
Honestly the daily quest is better if they exclude it cause save the world has its seperate thing cause you get vbucks and xp as well
Nah FR! I said the same thing when I saw all of those passes. WHERE TF IS THE STW PASS?! Or at the very least allow founders to use skins anywhere we want, like they're just cosmetics 😒 epic stop making it seem like you're doing a lot of work. They already have the files in the game otherwise the skins wouldn't exist at all in STW so they can easily implement them.

I’m a founder in stw and I love it and have played it since 2018 however I’ve always been an on a off player mainly due to always having to solo queue or with randoms I wanna come back to the game but due to the low amount of players I can’t find a solid group to play with as it has always been a thing I wanted to do kinda like you did basically max out everything and now can have fun n stuff.. ik its a long show but if your down to play and stuff that would be fun

I'm so sad that Save the World has been slowly dying all this time. I remember pre-ordering Fortnite and playing it with my friends, and then Fortnite blew up because of a battle royale they decided to make. I was like, "That's not Fortnite" when I hear people talking about it and loving the battle royale. Sadly nowadays the only time I really get on Save the World are to do daily missions for V-bucks, and to do an Endurance for the battle passes. Ever since I 100% the achievements, Save the World is just a game mode to visit from time to time, since the only thing I can do to progress is the long grind for Superchargers. I am still hopeful that someday we can finally get a storyline for Twine Peaks to see how the story of Fortnite finishes off.
Ong they should prioritize save the world like battle royale this game is what made Fortnite

Just bring back the deluxe founder eidtions etc, not the fact that it gives the vbucks, but so people can buy the higher level editions to get the nocturno schematics and founder drum rolls and etc. Thatll make some money for them too and ungatekeep schematics
