Thank you so much for this long tutorial- I’ve had a couple of month’s break from painting as we’ve been travelling - I have been so inspired by landscapes we have seen in Scandinavia and Scotland and your tutorial has reminded me about techniques as I begin to paint again. You are so good at capturing the feeling a landscapes evokes, rather than trying to replicate a view or a photo. So much for me to do!!!!
@@pambirch778 Thank you for those kind words - capturing the feeling of the landscape has become the most important focus of my work for the last couple of years - I'm so glad it shows 💫
Marie Louise, I love your art and your process. Because of of you I really got hooked on landscape painting in this style. Please continue the longer formats, too, as I love the feeling of creating with you and learning from you even more. Thank you for your generosity and inspiration!
I love when you do longer videos! It really gives a good feel for your whole process of kinda doing some, taking a break to dry and take pictures to look at it differently and to not be afraid of trying something and then changing it back if you don't love it... it's good to remember we can change things up and don't have to be just stuck with the very first thing we put down even if we don't love it. Came out lovely! And those colors, both the painting and especially the actual sunrise... goodness, SO gorgeous!! Thank you for taking the time to do that!! Hope you're doing well!🥰
Hi Marie Louise. You’ve inspired me to paInt after decades doing nothing but golf and accountancy. Thank you. Longer videos for rusty people like me are superb
Thank you so very much for sharing and caring. I thank every day my lucky starts I found you. For me a totally self taught "artist" with zero experience or formal training your videos have been not only an inspiration but a discovery of something I guess it was within me but didn't know existed. I love all your videos. all. But I find particularly great the longer version of them. When I grow up I want to be an artist like you. Gracias Gracias Gracias
What a sweet comment Iraima, you're very kind! Glad you find inspiration and help on my channel and thank you so much for taking the time to write a comment. Best wishes from Denmark 🎨🌻
Really good demonstration for beginners.you demonstrated how to see your values by changing to black and white and using different tools and materials. A great teaser video on mix media.
I am so inspired by this. Thank you so much for sharing it. I would love to see more like it. My hope is to try out this type of painting. Thank you again, Paula
What a treat the longer video is, seeing it in real time from start to finish, with all your so helpful tips along the way. It will be great to paint along with the video to really use the techniques properly and see how it works for me. Thank you for another brilliant lesson. It's getting cooler here in Norfolk so I wish you well for autumn across the North Sea, with lots of wonderful skies and sunsets to inspire painting.
I love your videos! Thank you very much for all of your wisdom, guidance and encouragement to just paint as often as I can to improve and find my own style.
I am a big fan of your artwork, the final paintings are very interesting and look really fun to do, I am excited to now try. As for your videos you have beautiful, calm narration. Terrific channel.
I have a question about the gesso you would add to prevent buckling. Which side would you put it on? In my mind i think the back side might be better so on the front you would still have the paper quality to paint on. Never done this so that's why I'm asking. Thank you for your videos. Love your style.
I love your paintings, so subtle and poetical, as well as your explanations. I have a question, when you let a first layer dry, you do not use a dryer, why is that? Thank you in advance ❤
I was wondering why you don’t just use water color. I enjoy watching your process. I use acrylic to paint and am getting looser by the day. But my paint is not that wet.
Mlle, j'adore ce que tu fais. Tu es talentueuse et imaginative. Tu fais de la bonne et belle peinture. Salut. Miss, I adore what you do. You are talented and imaginative. You make good and beautiful painting. You khow Anna-Eva Bergman? Your old scandinavian collegue? I'm crazy about her and what she did. So, by now.

thanks for the wonderful video. what kind of paper do you use?
I love your paintings, so subtle and poetical, as well as your explanations. I have a question, when you let a first layer dry, you do not use a dryer, why is that? Thank you in advance ❤
I prefer to let the paint dry naturally but if you like to use a dryer I say go for it 😀 Happy painting 🎨🎨
What brand of masking tape do you recommend? Everything I’ve tried so far rips up the paper!
Are you using watercolor paper or what type? Did you gesso it first? Thank you for the fantastic video!
I found the answer further on in your video, thank you!🤪
I was wondering why you don’t just use water color. I enjoy watching your process. I use acrylic to paint and am getting looser by the day. But my paint is not that wet.

I wish I could do this with oils, but I haven’t figured it out
Layers of gesso won't interfere with the "watercolor-like" method you use?
I’m having trouble with painting this way on larger canvases. It looks boring. What am I doing wrong?
Hey, what paper do you use to paint on?
What kind of paper and weight?
no
I understand the concept of mark making, I think but to be honest it just looks like scribble.
