Wow I had no idea Shan was that salty. How hypocritical of her that she can't get past her elimination when she burned so many people in the pre-merge. She seriously needs to cool down.
Literally I was a big of fan of her premerge but once the merge and after seeing her social media and ponderosa its like she literally goes out of her way to be as unlikable and narcissistic as possible

The least surprising secret for me was that Shan was a mega sore loser. I kinda saw that one coming. She came off as a self righteous narcissist.
No surprise for most have guessing. Curious if she's having a hard time back in the world. Perry with so many people that have seen how she acted on the show

I started the season hoping Ricard was the first boot from his tribe, and by the last episode I was hoping he’d clutch the challenges out to win it. It was a wild season and edit for him.
In the first few episodes literally no one on Ua was likeable.

You know you’re obsessed with survivor when you’ve already heard everything from this video, watched all the secret scenes, podcasts, etc lol
Was always confused about why people like Shan so much when I thought she was just a very unaware villain who never was that good at the game during the show... but after this she just reads like a below average player who is also a horrible sport.
@@uglyaniimals I did think she would do better than she did (was expecting her to get clipped around F7) but the thing I hated most about her play was that she pretty much tried to play a villain and then acted like the victim any time someone made a move against her. Its one thing if that is the vocal strategy to play the victim intentionally to garner pity, but to be so petty you wont even talk with someone who made a move to take you out and finish better? Zero respect.
@@e_eyster i think its the idea that she was very likable to begin with and seemed very smart and cunning. People generally dont like to change their opinion on somone and will take much more shit from someone they like vs someone they dont
I had zero problems with Shan on the show, but when I originally saw the Ponderosa videos it made me completely change my opinion of her. Every one else just trying to have a good time, but nooo she gotta be that way.
I felt like she had a very controlling game in the beginning but i didnt mind her too much, but like she is being hella mean to ricardo, Ricardo dont deserve all that
The fault lies in the editors, they were setting Shan up to be like a Rick Devens type edit that whoever takes her out is likely to be the winner
Same. Shan is so salty. She thinks so highly of herself it is kinda cringe to watch.
Also her switching careers to become an influencer because "it's god's calling" to her... 🤡🤡🤡
This was a really fun and strong cast of newcomers. Heather is freaking adorable and I'm so bummed we didn't see more of her on the show!

Allegedly the 30 days to 26 delay was because there was an issue with Jeff’s flight or quarantining or something that forced him to be in lockdown those extra 4 days, I think Voce said in his ROBH deep dive interview that Jeff first met the cast with full Covid gear on which made him think he hadn’t been cleared to be off quarantine.
Interesting. The Voce interview came out after I had finished this video so I didn't listen to it.
And Shan is a PASTOR!!! Doesn’t God say to practice forgiveness??? This is why practicing a formal religion doesn’t mean you’re a “good person.”

I never liked Shan and this just validates my opinion on her. Shes very unlikable IMO

Sad that jeff mentions fun... my favorite moments that make me happiest and laughing are human moments. Things like the players doing a morning news skit together on marquesas, singing songs, flirting with eachother, etc. I also love learning more about peoples live and personalities. And those moments ended up on the cutting room floor this season
I feel like Evie has to come back! What a great character. I really liked this cast.

lmao, I never bought the whole 'Xander and Laina hate each other' storyline lol. They remind me of my middle school students that crush on each other but don't know how to express it so they just fight all day.

That sucks, he seemed so pumped to find it.

Kelley Wentworth said the same thing about one of her seasons (pretty sure it was about Cambodia but I haven’t actually watched Cambodia so not sure)
The new idols looks pretty terrible anyways, I don't mind production taking them away so that they can be reused in the future
Been waiting for this video. Evvie was definitely my favorite from this season, but it's a hard choice with such a great cast.

The secret that surprised me the most was Heather running.

survivor needs to chill with the constant advantages bein on screen 24/7. people wanna see heathers fake dreams, not a million advantages and twists
People love to say Xander lost to the political climate despite the fact literally every person post game except shockingly Liana has stated what a non threat he was to the actual game. Heather Erika Danny Deshawn Ricard knew it, Shantel knew it, Evvie and Tiffany thought he was clueless, hell even Naseer didn’t like his gameplay.
I thought he was the by far winner from watching the show had multiple big moves multiple wins in challenges the girl that one they barely showed until the end so didn't think she did anything but be in the background shows how different it is actually being there with them
@@dx-dragon4399 he didn’t make any big moves except giving his idol to Tiffany which ultimately was pointless since he never actually used his advantages meaningful or talked to tiffany and evvie after that

Man I don’t understand the bitterness if I was playing the game and someone blindsided me with a wicked move I’d highly respect it cause all I’d want is everyone to play the game as hard as I would. People let personal feelings overlook the fact more people then just you are also playing the game. You all signed up for this just accept someone got you.
I wouldn't be bitter, and id respect it, but if i was jury member with option the person wouldn't get my vote.

@@tmm4195 Did they play the best game? the premise of the show from the beginning has been the jury decides what the rules are and people have to weigh social decisions because you have to later turn around and ask for their vote. IMHO the lack of accountability for blindsides has made the game far more about luck and less about social maneuvering.

If Jeff wanted the season to be fun, he completely missed the mark. 41 wasn't bad, but it was one of the most joyless seasons I have ever seen.
JD even lied post show, Danny said post show he actually kept Naseer BECAUSE he didn’t want him to get an advantage

The birds aren't dumb - they aren't used to humans. This is actually very disturbing. I live in South Africa and game reserves make sure the animals are accustomed to cars - rangers at a game reserve that I go to drove around during the highest Covid lockdown to make sure the animals are accustomed to cars

The cast (including Probst and Ricard) used the word, “guys” many times this season
from what i heard, the production cast wanted to stop using the phrase and they used ricard as a scapegoat. basically asking him to speak up.
This is all talked about in the video we are commenting on by Ricard
I hate this argument. Vocabulary isn't just a switch, you can't turn words off instantly. Jeff was willing to make an effort to push the show towards inclusivity, but we are all human and you have to understand that it's not as easy as saying "oh I'm gonna stop saying this word now". A good example would be people who say "like" or "literally" a lot. Sure, they can say they want to stop saying those words, but it's inevitable that those words will slip out subconsciously a ton, especially if it's RIGHT after deciding to make a change. If people are truly willing to change, then over time they will get better at it, but it takes WAY longer than 25 days to change your vocabulary.
I loved Tiffany! She wasn’t that good at challenges, BUT she has a great sense of humor

I think that there is nothing wrong with the phrase "come on in guys" at this point, guy is a gender neutral term.
But wait didn't shan even admit she and Ricard made a deal they'd be allies until one of them knew it had to end and get the other. She cannot be mad at Ricard when he chose a good time to remove a strong player. Probably his closest rival. Had those two made it I think it had been a close vote. My vote would be ricard winning, Shane was very..... bossy and annoying to me and visibly lost her cool when people didn't listen to her. maybe the confessionals scewed it cause she did at one point basically say the people she guides at church are dumb and they need to do things her way..... I think. So to me she came off as a very unaware villain, when I think Ricard was the actual brains of their duo. And seeing how salty she got from losing that she essentially refused to speak to her 'best friend' in the game cause he did the smart thing and had permission to do it when he saw a good moment for it just shows she is a sore loser.
